Peaceful Bamboo Cottage House

Vi is a very friendly and open host. She was always reachable and helped us with everything we wanted to know. The room was clean and looked like the pictures. There is an AC so that you can set the room temperature you want. The bathroom is very nice. It has no windows and is therefore open. The property is very beautiful and has many traditional details. It is very easy to relax with the calm music, the green surrounding and the lovely decoration. There is also a small restaurant on the property where you can book good breakfast and dinner, as well as coffee and snacks for reasonable prices. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you very much, Vi! We definitely recommend this accomodation :)

This Airbnb is an absolute gem! Homestay is fully equipped, spotless, and well cared! The privacy is unbeatable. With a beautiful garden and no immediate neighbors, we could relax, laugh, and enjoy ourselves without worry. The peaceful atmosphere made it feel like a true retreat. The location is perfect, away from noisy main roads, offering pure tranquility. And the kitchen—wow! Spacious, airy, and perfect for cooking, especially with fresh organic vegetables from the garden and generous neighbors who share their delicious homegrown produce. The garden even has grapefruit and papaya trees, so we enjoyed fresh fruit straight from nature! Finally, the host is beyond amazing—100 out of 10! Incredibly kind, always available, and quick to help with anything. If you’re looking for a peaceful, well-equipped, and truly special place in Yen Bai, this is it. We’d absolutely stay again. Thank you for an unforgettable experience! ❤️

le séjour au Cinnamom ecolodge nous a fait beaucoup de bien. L'environnement est magnifique, et l'accueil est extrêmement chaleureux. La cuisine est tout simplement divine. Les randonnées avec un guide local, com, nous ont permis de faire connaissance avec les locaux, hospitaliers et souriants, et de traverser des rizières magnifiques. nous recommandons vivement ce séjour.

A Wooden House next to stream with mountain view

Me and my wife visited Xoi's homestay in july of 2024. We were travelling through vietnam by motorcycles. Xoi was excellent in her communication, not only did she instantly reply to my messages but her English was spot on. She's a very happy and excited host. The whole family is great. We had an amazing dinner with the whole family and another french couple that was also staying at Xoi's. we stayed for one night in the most beautiful room we could imagine. This place is a 100% worth the drive. If we ever come back to northern vietnam this is definitely a place we are going back to. Xoi is great, food was great, room was awesome. You SHOULD go here!

Mon séjour chez Phuong a marqué mon voyage. Je suis profondément reconnaissante de la générosité et de l’accueil dont il a fait preuve. Il m’a beaucoup aidé pour me déplacer sachant que je n’avais pas de moyens de moto/vélo, en plus de me conseiller de super endroits. Sa famille est incroyable et les repas tous ensembles ont été d’une très grande qualité (autant pour la nourriture que pour les moments passés ensemble). Je le remercie encore de m’avoir montré la pratique de la méditation zen, un sujet qui le passionne. En résumé, mon séjour a été très riche, je recommande sans hésité !

If you want the Vietnamese experience, look no further. Mr Hoan and his family provide an excellent place to stay, outstanding food, and great hospitality. With a choice between private rooms, or a shared larger room with individual beds separated by curtains, anyone can stay here on a budget or not. Dinner was excellent, and the home-made rice wine was to die for. His family is very welcoming, and you feel right home with them. I could not have asked for a better place to stay!

Although I stayed only a couple nights, I felt lucky to peek into Gioi and his family's life amongst the cinnamon trees. The sound of a breeze passing through the leaves is truly special. Dinners (with the family and/or with other travelers) were a generous spread of dishes, with vegetables from the garden. It seems ideal to stay a bit longer to really experience the depth of the nature and local culture through Gioi's tours, but I still enjoyed wandering through the village and forest. Gioi helped me arrange a xe ôm to my next destination, which was greatly appreciated!

Xoi Farmstay- Homefarm in the valley of Lam Thuong

This place was a highlight for our family on our three week travels through Vietnam. After we arrived on our very long sleeper bus ride (not recommended) we were escorted by the family to our peaceful room with a river view. An absolutely delicious local menu meal was served using all of their organic farmgrown vegetables and meat. They also had wonderful vegetarian food available too. They served a huge variety of food and some of the tastes were definitely new and delicious to our palette. We took the bikes for many rides through the neighbouring towns where the locals were quick to smile. A very beautiful and peaceful people where all of the families care about one another and live in close community. It was not hard to feel very much at home. The Homestay was a great refuge after our adventures to unwind and chill with a beer or refreshment. The local cashew nuts were incredible. We ate all of their supply and were gifted the last bag as we left.
