Wow what a beautiful little find. The surroundings are just as beautiful as the place. Attention to detail with this property, felt like home from home. We enjoyed the real fire, the bedding was lush and the bath was to die for 🥰

Words cannot describe how amazing Simone is and her gorgeous retreat. I took my Dad away for a little trip away as he is rather poorly and the original place I had booked was appalling! So bad I refused to stay. Thinking I'd have to take my Dad back home as finding somewhere suitable for his needs is slim picking, never mind on an August Friday night at 6pm, last weekend of the summer holidays. Nevertheless, after refusing to give up I found this gem, both in Simone and her retreat. Just what we needed . Simone went above and beyond from the second I placed the booking, she rang me straight away, said she would met us there, she had the retreat warming through for us, lights on and made us feel absolutely at home. So much so I had to give her a hug. The whole experience from start to finish was 10 star. The place is beautiful, the views are outstanding, area is perfect. My Dad is dying to go back already. And I can't wait to take him. See you soon x

Lovely location and cabin looks over small lake/pond with plenty wildlife. Inside is very clean and spacious. The deck and hot tub were great for sitting outside watching the wildlife or to chill. Do recommend having a walk along to Eshott Airfield where there is a small cafe to watch the small & vintage planes. The pub/restaurant on site is fine for a bite to eat/drink. It has a small shop for essentials and activities for kids etc. A1 provides for quick access to other areas for day trips. Would stay again :)

We've stayed there a couple of times now as its a handy stop off between the Highlands and Hampshire. Its always met our needs and never let us down.

Great stay, in a lovely quiet village. 30-50 min drive to places like Windermere, Ambleside, Grasmere, & Keswick. The village has a few different pubs to choose from, which are all within walking distance. The village also has a local coop and a fish & chip shop!

Another wonderful stay at Red Stables. The views from the lounge and hot tub are to die for, you're absolutely in the middle of the countryside and it's so quiet and peaceful. Head to the tub to completely wind down or stay connected via the high speed WiFi if you must! You can stream movies or your favourites on the internet connected Tv. Plus there's a great Farm Shop and Cafe five minutes away in the car. Highly recommended.

An excellent stay! The cottage was great, well equipped and communication was excellent throughout. Loved having the swimming pool and other activities on site for the kids.
