Mountain Momma Homestead Cottage

A quaint studio guest house located in one of the many hollers of West Virginia. Less than 1 mile from I64, the house is roughly 300 sq. feet, centrally located between Charleston, New River Gorge, and Huntington. This guest house is equip with an outdoor space that includes a firepit and grill. It is located close to the main living quarters, but it is disconnected. The main living quarters do have dogs that are well behaved and quiet. If there are any questions, please feel free to reach out.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to stay overnight in a mini-storage? Probably not, lol! But if you've ever watched HGTV, you'll see that people across the country are creating short-term rentals out of all kinds of crazy things, from shipping containers and barns, to old warehouses. Well, in Cross Lanes WV, we took our cues from those folks on TV and created a short-term rental out of a storage unit! Conveniently located, just off I64, and only 1 mile to the Mardi Gras Casino.

Cabin 3 is rustic and small but very cozy! There is a comfortable queen bed with smart tv. There is a wood burning stove with firewood and kindling provided also air conditioning. There is coffee, microwave and flat top propane grill. Necessary cooking supplies are provided. Sit on the front porch in front of a creek and a mountainous view. Have a bonfire in front of your cabin. This cabin is located beside the private shower house. There is no state park feel here, definitely a "real" getaway.

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape at Molly Moocher, a tiny house nestled among boulders in Wild and Wonderful West Virginia. 7 minutes from the Gauley River and Summersville lake. 19 minutes to the New River National Park. Located on 100 private acres with hiking trails. Relax in the hot tub or at the boulder-top fire pit. My wife and I live locally. We are less than 10 miles from downtown Charleston which has a lot to offer in cultural experiences and locally owned restaurants and businesses. Enjoy the neighborhood feel and enjoy the view of the mountains and the beautiful river.

Have a nice warm cup of apple cider by the bonfire overlooking the mountains. Bring your atv and enjoy adventure riding in the back country of Wirt county. After a long day, cuddle up on the couch and watch a move in front of the fireplace. 4wd required a steep driveway.
