Historically Gilleleje is an old fishing village and it was here that many Jews were transported to Sweden during World War II. Gilleleje Church was a waiting place for Jews until they could be transported. In 1943, 75 Jews were caught by the Gestapo on the church ceiling after a snitch had informed the Germans. Everywhere there are monuments of historical events. Every year there are various festivals in Gilleleje - "Hill" Festival, Harbour Festival, Jazz at the port and The Herring Day. Haven er mere eller mindre gået i skov med stier, der jævnligt bliver slået. Huset kan opvarmes med pejs, brændeovn og varmepumpe og der er både vaskemaskine og opvaskemaskine. Arresø ligger 5 minutters gang fra sommerhuset og 10 minutter væk ligger Tinggården. Området er præget af natur og sommerhuse. Skønne strande i cykelafstand.

You will love this house due to he fabulous sea view, direct assess to the sea and the light. On the other side of the road is the preserved forest Teglstruphegn with large old oak trees. Very romantic. This is a place to be mindfull. Many guests just stay to enjoy the view all seasons.

Our modern summerhouse is situated at Oroe in Isefjorden. The house lies on a 'hilly' plot owerlooking Isefjorden almost at the end of a gravel road. From the beach you can fish and swim.
