Magical, grade II listed 18th century traditional Lakeland cottage, set within 5 acres of woodlands leading directly to private beaches on Lake Windermere. Relax in a peaceful, natural environment, ideal for friends and families, wild swimmers, cyclists, paddle boarders, hikers and for cosy evenings by the fireplace. A luxurious hot tub (perfect after a hard days hike) and an outdoor wood fired barrel sauna with cold shower are available at an extra cost. Art classes and a tuck shop available.

Granary Cottage - EV Charging & a large garden

Superb semi detached cottage with two bedrooms, a large garden & private parking just over 2 miles from Cartmel & Newby Bridge at the South end of Lake Windermere. Granary Cottage has a EV charger for vehicle charging. Vehicle charging is charged at 50p per unit. The dining room has great views with a pair of French doors in to the living room which has a large double sofa bed & another pair of doors to the garden & outdoor seating. The master bedroom is en suite with a 2nd Jack & Jill door.

We are dog friendly. Our 250 year old cottage features modern rustic decor, u/f heating, log burner, super-fast internet, Smart TV, Sonos sound system and a complimentary podPoint 7kw EV charger. There are many wonderful walks and bike rides available from the front door. Stays start Mondays or Fridays.

The Garden Studio, Lake District with parking.

We offer guests a contact free stay in our detached studio suite in the Lake District.To refresh the studio and to complete intensive cleaning we block off a day either side of every booking. The studio has a king-sized bed, dining table & chairs, a very comfortable sofa, TV, lobby, wet room, small kitchenette with mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, tableware, cutlery. Patio doors open on to a private sun terrace overlooking the garden and surrounding fields. Parking next to the studio.

The M6 is 3 miles away, offering easy access to the market towns of Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale, the Yorkshire Dales, and National Trust sites. Enjoy scenic walks along the nearby canal path or visit Arnside, just 10 minutes away, for coastal views and top-notch fish & chips. A perfect base for exploring the countryside

Apple House - an exquisite bohemian retreat

Apple House is a quiet retreat, a place where you can completely unwind. Standing in the gardens of Hylands, a fine Arts and Crafts House, to the West of Kendal. Decorated using quality local materials and skills of local crafts people, with beautiful views to our wildlife garden; pond, kitchen garden and the hills beyond. Apple House is 12 minutes walk from Kendal town center's many independent shops, cafes and restaurants and 5 minutes walk to our local pub 'The Rifleman's Arms'.

Drakes Cottage

Drakes Cottage is situated within the courtyard of a former 18th century coaching stables. The medieval village of Cartmel is a 15 minute walk away, via public footpath through the surrounding fields or country lanes. Famous for its 12th century Priory, 2 Michelin starred restaurants & delicious sticky toffee pudding. The Edwardian town of Grange is a 5 minute drive with plenty of amenities and a lovely promenade walk. The southern end of Lake Windermere is a 12 minute drive.
