We really enjoyed our time at Jeffrey’s house for spring break! The location is perfect—close to so many great outdoor spots and hiking trails. The game room and hot tub were the cherry on top, especially since we had some wild weather during our stay, including heavy rain, river flooding, and even some tornado and hail warnings. Having those indoor options made a big difference and kept everyone entertained. We’d love to come back and explore more of the area when the weather is better!

Loved staying here! We wanted to be in a location that had access to a lot of hiking and we had plenty of options within a 30 minute drive. Fun, local food/coffee options in the area as well. The home was beautiful and clean with plenty of space for our family of 5. Everything was as described and Daniel was extremely quick to respond to any questions I had. If we are back in the Kentucky area, I would love to book here again! Only "downside" was making sure all dishes were clean and put away before leaving which made for a more stressful departure when you have young kids. We are used to needing to start a load at rentals but never making sure they are put away, so that was odd.

Absolutely loved Bourbon Barrel cottages! Beautiful setting out in the rolling hills of Kentucky. Lose to distilleries and restaurants yet out far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. Angie was out every day tending to the beautiful landscaping. They even offer fresh eggs on-site. Book this place next time you’re in bourbon country, you won’t be disappointed!

This cabin was extremely clean! We didn’t take advantage of the hot tub or fire pit because of the weather and how tired we were but appreciated the option. They have everything you need there and had a ton of doggy extras which is awesome for pet parents who may have forgotten something. There is a cabin next door but the guests there were very nice. We would definitely book again and recommend Liz’s cabin!

Such a relaxing and nice place, me and my boyfriend celebrated his 30th birthday at this cabin and it did not let us down. Nothing to mention about this place other than the trip was not long enough! A must visit cabin if you are wanting to stay near the Red River Gorge. Thank you Leslie and Phillip for having a great place to visit, we hope to return soon!

Our family had a relaxing four night stay where we enjoyed the hot tub, ping pong table, spacious dining room, big screen TVs and more. The house is very clean, modernized with super fast WIFI, plenty of hookups for charging all your electronics, and all the amenities for making yourself at home. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, with country scenery and plenty of parking. We can see this becoming a family tradition thanks to the impressive experience we had.

Great place to get away from the city life. and as other reviews have said before. 4WD is recommended. and the free roam goats that are out there are pure entertainment. Amazing hosts as well

Loved the house, location and looked for the baby goats every time we drove back home. We did not get to enjoy the fire pit or kayaks, but looked out at the lake each morning before we took off for the day. Ate at both of your recommendations (limewater and Kentucky castle) both were fantastic. Appreciate your hospitality, recommendations and your home!

We loved our stay on the farm! The place was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kids were thrilled with all the animals and especially enjoyed visits from the friendly Great Pyrenees dogs. I was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t smell like a farm at all! Sandy and Martin were so friendly and helpful, making our stay even better. We also bought some of the farm’s sausage, and it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this place for a unique and enjoyable experience!

We had such a great time staying at the cabin. It was close to everything and very cozy.

Really enjoyed our stay it’s so quiet and relaxing having the lake a few steps away it’s really nice. The house has a very welcoming feeling it’s great. Anytime we’re back in the area we will definitely plan to stay at Josie’s.

We enthusiastically recommend this spot! The cabin is very comfortable and well laid out, including lots of places to hang or set stuff to help stay organized. It is decorated beautifully and the bed, linens and shower were all highlights. There was plenty of space for a couple and two dogs and we really enjoyed walking around the ridge we were on and hiking in the Daniel Boone forest area was just amazing. I love the mountains, but have a fear of heights, so getting up mountain roads sometimes freaks me out. I was a little worried based on a few other reviewers’ comments, but it was really not bad at all. The road is narrow, but it is paved all the way and there are guard rails in areas where there are drop offs. Our two wheel drive car had no issues at all. This is a quiet area, but near enough to major thoroughfares that you are not really isolated or far from groceries, etc. Mark was a pleasure to work with in setting up our stay and responded quickly to messages.

My kids and I really enjoyed our stay at Steve’s cabin. It was just what we needed for our trip to the annual Mushroom festival. We will definitely be repeat guests!

The place was absolutely gorgeous. The perfect place to relax and plug. The host was extremely helpful and responsive. Everything was clean and tidy.

We wanted a last minute weekend getaway, so we booked Lauren’s cabin last minute. It turned out this is exactly what we needed. The cabin is surrounded by stunning scenery, the cows, the pond, the hills.. just like a canvas painting. The cabin was clean, kitchen was well equipped, and the entire house is thoughtfully decorated thoughout. We spent most of time the lounging on the front porch due to the rain, but this was the slow pace we wanted. Thank you for having us, Lauren.

We really enjoyed our stay at Jessica’s farm. It was so peaceful and quiet. Setting was beautiful and conveniently located close to our favorite Kentucky activities.

This home is a very unique, cozy, and peaceful opportunity for anyone looking to get away from the hustle n’ bustle. The “slightly rustic”hunting cabin nestled on 100 acres has character and feels as if you’re extremely remote when only less than 10 min drive to 75, Love’s, Hardee’s, and a very beneficial Dollar General Market for all your grocery needs. The ample onsite trails are great for long walks, stargazing, and exercising any furry friends that may be with you! Clinton is very kind, accommodating, and prompt with communication. I highly recommend this serene getaway and it’s very conducive to pets!!!!

I had a wonderful weekend stay at one of Mike's three nearly identical cabins in Cynthiana. Each cabin offers just the right amount of privacy while still feeling part of the riverside property. The cabins are new, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed, featuring private fire pits and inviting front porches perfect for enjoying the outdoors. The location is ideal—just a short walk to all that downtown Cynthiana has to offer. Mike was a fantastic host, and the space provided everything I needed for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommend for couples visiting the city or a couple of friends who need a homebase for a hunting or fishing adventure.

Beautiful cozy cabin. Well decorated and furnished. Lovely well equipped kitchen. Easy to access right off the highway and 15 minutes to Lexington. We would definitely stay again.

Candi and Ches were wonderful hosts! their home is beautiful with an amazing view and they were very helpful with recommendations in the area or any questions we had during our stay. Every detail made us feel right at home!
