We had a wonderful stay at Ankit’s homestay! We were a group of 7 traveling together and honestly I was nervous given the winter season and also bcos me and my husband had planned and chosen this place to stay! But, we were more than happy when we arrived and were made to Feel So Totally At Home! Ankit is so sweet and humble, took so much care to make sure we were totally comfortable! He was available 24x7 to make sure our requests and needs were met! We felt so so much at home! Food was also home style and simple and tasty just what we had requested for! Would definitely recommend it! And wud love to come back!

Our stay at Nitin’s homestay was nothing short of exceptional. The house was impeccably clean, thoughtfully maintained, and set in a serene, picturesque location — an ideal escape for our annual friends’ getaway. The team was warm, attentive, and ensured we were well cared for throughout our stay. The highlight was the delicious, home-cooked organic meals, each crafted with fresh ingredients and genuine love for hospitality. At Nitin’s suggestion, we engaged a local trekking guide Manish, which added a wonderful sense of adventure and deeper connection to the area. This homestay truly offers a perfect blend of comfort, authenticity, and tranquility. We left with beautiful memories and are already looking forward to returning!

We had a wonderful stay at the La Vie cottage hosted by Sarika ji. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning decor and aesthetics that beautifully blended modern comfort with charming rustic touches. Every room was thoughtfully designed, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere.The amenities were top-notch, ensuring a truly enjoyable stay. The highlight was the breathtaking location. Waking up to a view of the snow-covered mountains was simply magical, and we spent countless hours just soaking it all in. The garden was another delightful surprise however it needed maintainance. Sarika ji is an extremely proactive and responsive host.The cherry on top was the delicious food cooked by the caretaker Trilok ji who also catered to all our needs. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a peaceful and serene stay. Can’t wait to come back in the summer 🙂

Nidhi is a great Host. She will make sure that you are comfortable and your needs are met. The caretaker was aslo helpful and explained to us about the house pretty well. The views from the property are beautiful. Will recommend staying there for a quite, peaceful and private stay. P.S.- The slope to reach the propery might look scary at first but it is easily manageable. Put your vehicle on first gear and use engine breaking. Do not pull the engage the clutch while going down. I managed to go up and down 2 times on my 350 Kgs bike without any issues.

A great place. Just what we wanted. The cottage - is not very old. Yet it is built in local fashion with local materials but with all modern 'living amenities' as listed. In keeping with the mountain terrain it is built at 'levels. 'Full of knick knacks, a fire place & so on.... All this gives it a very cosy , yet rustic feel, very authentic & lovable. The cottage does not have a 'living room', but that is compensated by the large verandah overlooking the property. Grand views all day. the owners were present in their other house on the property. Very friendly yet not intrusive. One does not expect such help full caretakers in a airbnb. The caretaker cum househelp cum handyman Mr. Bobby Singh who is on hand 24/7 is a gem. he cleans, cooks, advises(if asked). Plus there is Mr. Anand Singh who takes care of the 'grounds' of the property, who helps in procuring groceries & stuff. Two people to help !!! Almost like a serviced resort . A Stay That Redefines True Hospitality — Unforgettable 4 Nights in Almora I stayed 4 nights at Ashish’s place in Almora, and I can honestly say this is where I learned the real meaning of hosting. You can find millions of homes on Airbnb, but this is what true hospitality feels like. You don’t need to visit a Taj, an Oberoi, or some palace in Dubai to feel special — the warmth, care, and love here surpass them all. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed like family. Every meal, from the home-cooked breakfast to lunch, evening tea, and dinner, was made with heart and tasted like comfort. The amenities are all thoughtfully arranged. Car parking is available just 200 meters away, and then a little trek leads you to this peaceful haven, nestled right in the mountains. No traffic, no honking — only the calming sounds of nature. The stay was amazing, very clean and staff was extremely helpful. I had a great time and will definitely be visiting again. It was so peaceful and pretty. Everything was organised very well.

I had a fantastic stay at Digvijay’s cottage. It’s in the mid of a tee estate (it’s not a massive tea estate but a small one, but peaceful.) The room is absolutely minimalist but makes you feel like home. It’s a wooden cottage and you get that old time charm. It’s a two story cottage with bedrooms upstairs and bathroom, kitchen, work desk etc. at ground floor. For food, if you are really keen on fancy food probably you can cook yourself as the place has a 2 burner gas stove or you can eat at some eatery before reaching here (No fancy restaurants around). The other option is to ask the caretaker Mr Girish to cook for you. He cooks homely meals and charges for it additionally. Beyond that, on a clear day you can catch glimpse of snow cladded Himalayas from the cabin itself. Parking is available at the property but driving down that Slope could test your driving skills thoroughly. All in all a lovely place to stay. I was there in 3 week of April 2025.

The property is nestled in a quaint part of Majkhali, with easy access from the National Highway. There's 2 switchbacks and a short dirt trail + concrete road wide enough for one car leading to the property. Fairly easy to navigate through for anyone used to driving on the hills. The Chalet is as described in the pictures, and is maintained well by the hosts. The bedrooms aren't too cramped, and the bathrooms are neat. The kitchen had all basic cutlery, crockery, and glassware. The food menu has most of the basic varieties and local choices included, and the cook, Harish, prepares a fine meal. Being in a hamlet, we were asked to place our food orders a few hours in advance, which was completely understandable for the staff to go out and buy fresh produce. The caretaker, Paan Singh, is super jovial, and always ready to assist in anything required. I spent 3 days here with my parents, and we went back satisfied with the experience and the hosting.
