Fab host lovely house

Carol’s place is cozy with its own bathroom and an assortment of pillows, blankets and books. I especially appreciated the reading light by the bed. Carol is a gracious host who prepared a vegetarian breakfast for me each morning. I felt welcomed and comfortable.

This house is so lovely!! The pictures really don’t do it justice! There’s a kitchen with all the cooking utensils you could need and it’s very easy to get an Uber/Taxi from the building! The check in process is super easy as it’s just a lock box and Elias is always available by text if you need anything! Our host was amazing and the house facilities were not only clean but very stylish! Thankyou for a fab trip Elias, we will deffo be staying with you if we return! X

Amazing venue, spacious living space which was appreciated by all. The children loved the toys they found and the adults enjoyed the grounds, Poole and table football. Kitchen facilities were excellent and we all fit around the dinner table with ease and comfort. If you need a special place for a group get together this is the place to go. So much better than a formulaic bland hotel. Thanks to the team.

The house is small with steep stairs, exactly as described. Perfect for two people! It was also extremely clean. Despite being close to a very busy main road, it was surprisingly quiet and parking on road outside the front door was a definite bonus. Rachel is very helpful, responding quickly to any queries and when I mentioned we are vegetarian, she immediately provided a veggie breakfast option. Indeed, all the food provided was high quality and much appreciated. Half an hour walk into the centre of Sheffield but tram stop 5 minutes away, as is a shopping centre with supermarket. It is therefore ideally situated. Would thoroughly recommend staying here and will hope to stay again next time we're in Sheffield.

I have found my home away from home. I love the rooms, the home made cakes, the friendly and so sincere hosts. I don’t want to praise to much or they might get too busy and I won’t find a room lol. They made a weekly trip I hate due to sleeping in new locations feel so comfortable. Whenever I am staying in Manchester it’s 100% here.

We had an emergency at our house due to some building work and found mikes place on here. It was a short notice weekday booking yet everything was perfect. So thankful for all the little well thought through extras like tea, milk, juice etc. The flat is gorgeous and the garden is beautiful with a lovely view of the hills. We only live down the road but we'd be tempted to book again just to stay somewhere so lovely. Thank you so much mike.

A great place for a one night stay. Went to a gig next door so this was a perfect spot and location. There was some fresh food and drink left for us which was a nice touch. Free parking was easy just outside. Would definitely stay there again.

Had a lovely stay at Patrick's property loved it and really friendly guy. Great setting and really close to the park, stayed an extra night because it was so nice.

Entering through a rather modest door right off the street we found Andrea's flat to be spacious, modern and spotlessly clean. As previous reviews the bedroom at the rear of the property is very quiet so you get a good night's sleep in the huge comfy bed. The kitchen is modern, well equipped with several nice touches left for us to get our stay started. The shower gives a good hot flow, much better than the puny electric ones in most properties. We are really pleased to have found Andrea's flat and as we visit York at least once a year we hope to stay again.

Perfect for 2 and for exploring Harrogate. An extremely comfortable bed,always a bonus !. Would definitely book again. Thank you.

This was the third time we stayed in Martin and Carmens lovely apartment while our son is studying at the university. It’s such a comfortable and well appointed place within easy reach of Leeds city centre but very quiet and peaceful.

What a wonderful place to escape for a few days. The flat was perfect - really comfortable, clean and spacious. A good hot shower and everything we needed in the kitchen to make life easy. Hebden Bridge is a fantastic place for a mooch and the markets were lovely. Great walks in the area- we didn't need to use the car all weekend.

We loved staying at Jane & Andrew’s “cottage” as I’m calling it. It’s so much more than an apartment, it’s so spacious, beautiful and welcoming with a lovely courtyard at the back along with the hot tub. We didn’t visit the farm since my hubby has had hip & knee surgery recently and the uphill climb would have been too much for him but for sure we’ll be back and hopefully he’ll be fit enough to do it then. The local Sainsbury’s is just a 10 minute walk away so I would walk there and then take a cheap 3.50 quid Uber back with heavy groceries…like Guinness, lol The West End pub is also a 10 minute walk away and a cheap 3.50 quid Uber back too. We flew from Toronto to visit family in Wyke and adored staying in this gem of a place for a week. So peaceful and a perfect size for two adults. The owners’ Grandkids were just next door, so if you have a couple of kids there’s plenty of room for them too and I’m sure they’d all get along, but as just us two adults we had loads of room.

Juliette and Nick’s loft is a peaceful and comfortable space in a safe and affluent residential area of Bramhope. There is a lovely view through large windows looking out over gardens, fields and hills. The breakfast was generous and I enjoyed the nice toiletries. I also appreciated the plants, books, ornaments and thoughtful touches which made it a homely and welcoming place to be. Juliette and Nick were really hospitable and all communication beforehand was great too. We recommend the loft as a fab place to stay and look forward to returning ourselves one day.

Most enjoyable 2 night stay in a clean, friendly, well organised and homely place. All good - no negatives Andy very kindly sorted a problem I was having with car phone and maps. I now need to make sure to exercise the tips he gave me.!!!!!

Had a fantastic stay at Pondon Mill this weekend. We were made to feel so welcome, the breakfast was fantastic. We did establish our dog is scared of cats, but as Barbara suggested we just need to get one of our own to train him. We will definitely be returning. Amazing setting, lovely people. Fantastic place to stay with so much history. Thank you for having us!

A lovely welcoming couple and very accommodating during our stay. . they made us feel right at home. A comfortable and pretty room, very nice facilities and even waited on at breakfast! A reasonable price and a great location to hop on the park and ride in to York. We really enjoyed our weekend. We will certainly be back on our next excursion this way. Thank you and all the best x

The house is beautifully and sympathetically decorated and furnished, felt luxurious but not somewhere you were worried about touching things! Our bed was very comfortable, plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, thoughtful extras such as dressing gowns and a fridge in the room so we could make tea and coffee. Bathroom was another highlight, gorgeous deep bath and a walk in shower with lovely toiletries. Continental breakfast was delicious, a lovely touch to have bread from the bakery down the road. Our hosts were so friendly and helpful, top tips for places to go and visit as well as eat, different transport options into the city also explained. I will be recommending this accommodation to friends and family as I don't think they will find anything better in York.

Our second stay at Highfields, was just as good as the first (apart from we were not quick enough to secure the double-bed room, but that was down to us...), Sally is a great host, attentive, friendly and the breakfasts are great too. Sally's homemade granola is spot on. Being on the edge of the town, it is so quiet and peaceful, with the open fields and Skipton Woods just beyond the gate, it would be a great spot for a longer stay. It works well for us, being just the other side of town from our family, for when they need a bit of space. We'll be back again at some point no doubt.

We've stayed here three times now and it gets better every time! The location is peaceful and idyllic with wonderful views. Close to the farm shop which has a massive restaurant and also close to The Lily pub which also does food. The house is spotless as usual and we are always very comfortable. Breakfast is incredible and will set you up nicely for the day. Thanks again Annette and Dave for being the best hosts x
