I absolutely loved our stay at Barnacre Alpacas, we stayed in the rose cottage, it was very clean and the hot tub was a bonus. We enjoyed the alpaca walk and talk, that was something I’ll never forget! On arrival the cottage was dressed up for a birthday surprise and champagne and chocolates was left for us. Thank you to Paul and Debbie, we will be back!

Thanks Ben, we had a great weekend at Stanley Cottage. We really appreciated all the thoughtful touches, dog treats, human treats, phone chargers, hair straighteners, bathroom products!! The cottage was very comfortable and the hot tub a welcome pause, thank you.

We enjoyed a great break in Peewit Cottage, which was spotless and had everything you need. The surroundings were well looked after and amenities great. The little touches, including the welcome pack (best we’ve had and included the dog!) and Prosecco and strawberries to enjoy in the hot tub were thoughtful and lovely. All the information you need is provided prior to arrival or readily available within the cottage. We used the cottage as a base to visit local attractions, all easily accessible by car. Glen was both very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend and somewhere we would return to. Thank you, Jacqueline!

Mark’s and Michelle’s home is by far the best place we’ve stayed in. Everything’s exactly what was in the description— all the amenities are well cared for and the attention to detail are well thought of. So you can also expect a luxurious and pleasant getaway for a reasonable price. Thank you again to you both for your warm hospitality! We’ve had perfect and relaxing weekend rest. We’ll for sure come back— a little longer stay next time.

Wir hatten ein paar sehr schöne Tage im „Farm Cottage“! Der Hof ist ruhig und wunderschön und unsere kleine Tochter war begeistert von den vielen Tieren. Das Pool Haus mit Trainings- und Hobbyraum ist ein tolles Extra, genauso die frischen Eier von den eigenen Hühnern, Holz für den Ofen und der Service, das Waschhaus inkl. Waschmaschine und Trockner zu nutzen. Die Kommunikation mit Chris und seiner Frau war perfekt. Wir waren sehr traurig, dass wir nur ein paar Tage da waren. Ein kleiner Hinweis für große Menschen: Die Dusche ist sehr, sehr niedrig ;) Also entweder baden, im sitzen duschen oder am besten einfach die Dusche im Pool Haus nutzen!

A second pleasant stay in a lovely location. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped, with plenty of space to spread out. A quiet location with country walks close by, but not too far to drive to Barnard Castle for all the usual amenities. Helen was very welcoming and helpful.

Lovely little cottage, very quaint and had loads of character. back yard a sun trap. Clean and hygienic. Lovely welcome basket and card from hosts detailing great places to eat and drink and to visit. Bed really comfy. Hosts responded really quickly to messages, great communication. we really enjoyed our stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was as described, the hosts Mark and Lyn were very friendly, sent accurate check in details and location details. They left us milk coffee tea etc which was a lovely gesture. Peaceful place and clean :-) would definitely return!

I had a wonderful two-week stay here while volunteering at the Magna excavation, which is a three-minute drive away. I would unreservedly recommend Graeme's place to any volunteer excavators or to those looking for a base from which to explore Hadrian's Wall. There's a really nice pub at the end of the road, and Thirlwall Castle is a 10-minute stroll away. The home would sleep 4 very comfortably, the kitchen has everything I needed to self-cater for a couple of weeks, and the bathtub and fireplace were the perfect antidote to a day's digging.

Beautiful cottage 5 mins from beach. Very clean and tidy, milk in fridge on arrival for a much needed cuppa. Good communication from Nick. Would stay again.

Lovely cottage in a great location. We really enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable, Diane has thought of everything and the little extras like the dog blankets/bowls were very much appreciated. The wood burner made us extra cosy when we had a rainy evening. Great to have parking and somewhere near to exercise our dog. An ideal location , we had days out to Kielder Forest & Seahouses as well as exploring the Roman fort sites. Would definitely recommend this cottage and hopefully we will be back. Thank you.

Fantastic house very clean and tidy Everything you need for a great stay

We had a wonderful stay at Haven cottage. It was our first holiday with our baby and the cottage had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and easy, with a travel cot, baby bath and even a baby carrier provided by Anna. The cottage was lovely and the location was perfect being a short walk to a pub, cafe and lots of country walks. I would highly recommend staying here and hope to do so again!

What can I say... Absolutely fantastic place. You couldn't ask for anything more. Really peaceful location with fantastic views of the hills etc. We had a strange issue but this was sorted out very swiftly by Malcolm 👍 We will definitely be looking to book again and have another peaceful time just watching the world go by. Thanks Bob & Chris

Abbey Hill Cottages to high above W. Hartlepool. They are well equipped.Beds are comfortable and so is sitting room furniture. Plenty of hot water. Good shower.Lots of space. I would stay again.

This was the perfect accommodation for us for our first holiday with a toddler. The house is immaculate and spacious with everything you could possibly need. The location is also ideal for being a stones throw away from so many things to do. Newbiggin beach is literally less than 2 minutes walk from the house, and is very pretty. Although for a toddler I would recommend one of the beaches slightly further up the coast for softer sand. Peter was a great host, clear instructions and quick responses to any questions we had. Would highly recommend!

Really relaxing stay, lovely views from the cottage and hosts very welcoming but still felt private.

Erika is an outstanding host. the cottage wa immaculate, it felt clean, fresh, with enough space for 3 couples or a family of 5-6. it felt very cosy, practical. we had a fully equipped kitchen for our meals, towels and hand soaps for the bathroom (do bring shower gel as I forgot to). I loved to natural light on the top floor. the cottage was comfortable and of very good standards. Erika was available if we had questions and provided some recommendations on arrival. I wanted somewhere nice while being a driving distance of swimming and hiking spots so it's been ok.

The Vault is the perfect place to stay while visiting Hexham. It really was a home from home. Super clean, cosy and a great location. Alex was a great, friendly host. Can’t recommend Alex and The Vault highly enough. Thank you Alex

Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Easy parking outside the house. The house is beautifully decorated, every thin you could need is supplied. Beds very comfortable and nice clean fresh bed linen and towels. Lovely bathroom and powerful shower. All in all a lovely home, close to beach and easy access to other places of interest. Would recommend staying there

The cottage was lovely and clean—exactly as described. Check-in was easy with no issues at all. After we settled in, Chantal greeted us and made sure we knew where everything was and how to find things. We spent a couple of nights there while visiting to hike around Ullswater. After a long day of hiking, it was wonderful to come back to the cottage and make a fire in the fireplace. The cottage was warm and cozy. The beds were excellent and very comfortable. We had everything we needed, and we truly enjoyed our stay. I would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone.
