Fantastic location, especially if you plan to visit the Sleeping Giant. Huge outdoor space with multiple deck levels, all lit up at night both with solar and motion lighting. Cozy cottage with everything we needed, including a really nice hot tub after a day of hiking and biking. Great stop - would definitely stay again!

Just book it! My husband and I agree- the best view we’ve ever had! Beautiful at sunrise through sunset, followed by the most perfect stars once darkness sets in. There is a lot of fun hiking in the area and this made such a perfect home base. The views from the hot tub are unbelievable! Scotty was responsive and helpful with local recommendations. We were traveling with our two young daughters who loved the space- plenty of room for all of us. If we’re lucky enough to have the opportunity to stay here again, we enthusiastically would.

Although our stay at the cabin was a little cramped for 6 adults, it was perfect for what we needed. There is a grocery store nearby for all food needs, and bigger cities like Marquette are only an hour away. There are many waterfalls within 30 minutes that are easy access. Most amenities are provided (pots, pans, dishes) and there are some boats for the lake for the cabins. The cabin did have towels for showering, but I would bring your own for the lake and hot tub. One thing to note is the GPS does not take you to the right location, rather it takes you to a personal property down the road. Be cautious of the street addresses. There is also a non-grounded electrical cord in the coffee bar drawer for all grounded cords.

We had a great stay, our second in two years. We love the feeling of being out in nature and the sense of privacy. This year our “neighbors” were two bald eagles we saw on the beach every morning while watching the sun rise over Lake Michigan. Some practical things to consider: the nearest grocery store is Jack’s in Manistique. Best to stop there before you arrive, it’s more than a short drive. And, take them seriously when they tell you to arrive during daylight! I wouldn’t want my first drive down the single-track access lane to be in the dark! If I were planning to stay there in the winter, I would check with the management company first to make sure my vehicle was up to it. When we arrived we found the EV charger not working, but we contacted the management company and they worked hard to make it right in less than 24 hours, even though it was a weekend.

This place is top notch. The towels, linens and beds were excellent quality. The cleaning supplies and soaps were above average and clearly labeled. The entire house is very tastefully decorated. We had plenty of space and lots of extra things including board games, a foosball table and televisions with HDMI inputs that we could play our own videos on. The kitchen was well stocked not only with pots, pans and appliances but also with spices and some staples. The coffee maker was excellent and coffee was provided, a very nice bonus. The furniture is very comfortable and there is an excellent view of the lake. The dishwasher was brand new and had been recently installed; Kathleen proactively told us about a minor issue that was easy to work around. We really appreciated her reaching out and letting us know in advance. We highly recommend it!

In general, I really liked everything 🥹 The hot tub is just great 😍 Everything is clean and tidy, Jacqueline was very quick and clear in responding to messages. We had a problem with a tree falling on the road and no access to the house, but George fixed it literally 5 minutes after I messaged him. The only thing that was a bit of a disadvantage was the condition of the kitchen, in my opinion, it needs a little repair. But in general, this did not interfere with our vacation, so we were satisfied and I can confidently recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to be alone with nature. This place is really worth a visit!😊

A beautiful cabin and place to stay to relax and unwind and get away. cabin was clean and comfortable and perfect for what we needed. was very grateful to be able to bring my friends service dog without a massive cleaning upcharge.

Nina's place was phenomenal. The natural beauty of the area was unmatched, and the amenities provided for anything you could want in a cabin get away. Would highly recommend!

Kathy’s place is perfect for a north woods getaway. We snowmobiled, and even though there is no trail at the end of the driveway, there is a public boat launch that provides access to the chain of lakes just a couple of houses over and easy to get to. The place has everything you need and just the right amount of tucked away but still close to town. Kathy is nearby and willing to help with anything that comes up. 10/10

rented this place to have a cozy weekend away and it delivered. There were lots of blankets throughout the place along with plenty of cozy places to relax. The thoughtful touches throughout the place of having a light for every place to sit and have a teapot and cups was wonderful. Highly recommend staying here if in the area.

We had an amazing family vacation at the “Beach House”. My family loved this area on Long Lake. The beach is very private , and we used it everyday. The beach also has a small fire pit, with a larger fire area up by the cabin. It’s a 16 minute drive into Cheboygan. Where their are many shops, and Restaurants. Cheboygan also has a beautiful trail system, with the Trail Head right in town. Our daughter ran on this trail at least three times while we were here. Makinaw City, and the Makinaw Bridge, are only 30-35 minute’s away.

What a wonderful place to get away and recharge! We have 3 kids and manage a business in Traverse City. That said we are always on the go. Staying at Little Betsy really help my partner and I focus on eachother and reconnect! Even though the weather wasn’t the greatest, we had moments or clear skies and got to really enjoy the view from the cabin. We hiked Hungarian Falls which is only 30 minutes away and ate at Loading Zone ||. Food was wonderful and so where the people! 110% recommend! We are excited to make future plans to come back! Thank you for letting us stay!

Couldn't ask for a better location. It is right on lake, close to town. Todd gave great recommendations. All the comforts of home. Just know there is no dishwasher. The beds and couches were comfy. It was very clean but It is an older home. You won't be sorry if you book here.

Our stay was glorious. I went with my mom and the kids. We got a huge snowstorm the first day. We skied the next day at Bearskin and Pincushion. The kids loved playing in the snow and enjoyed the fire at night. Thankful for plowing service so we didn’t get stuck. Much thanks

First of all , can’t say enough about how great Pat and Wendy are! They went above and beyond what I would ever expect from hosts and made sure my girlfriend and I had an awesome trip. Great people and a great spot! The Funky Beach House itself was awesome and the location was even cooler than I expected.

Very nice place. Excellent for 2 couples and 2 dogs. Very well equipped. Very comfortable. Secluded. Nice walks down the dirt roads and to lake Superior. We did not get a chance to walk their trails. We were greeted by many deer when we arrived. Should the opportunity arise, we would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone. All of her descriptions and recommendations are very accurate. Clean quaint fantastic.

Fantastic experience! Quiet little cottage, close enough to stores and necessities if needed. Host was great at communicating. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area!

very nice stay. older dated cabin, but clean, and for the price and being on a lake, you can't beat it! will definitely stay again!! Crystal is very responsive. Beautiful trees and shaded, if it's hot, which it was during our stay. Beach was nice!

Wonderful cozy stay. Description is accurate and the surroundings are gorgeous. We took a long walk around the area where the house is and it’s stunning.

This was our second time staying at Andy’s place, and our experience has been great both times. Andy keeps a very clean and beautiful place to stay that makes you feel right at home in the Northwoods.

We had a great time staying overnight at the UP Sunrise Cottages. The host, Angie, was incredibly friendly, helpful, and responsive, even when we had late-night, last-minute questions about checking in. The house was on a beautiful lakeside group of properties, and it was fully stocked with amenities, clear instructions, and super clean, comfy spaces.

This home’s location could not be better—it is nestled in the trees right on the lake and just steps aways from the ski hill allowing you to ski in and ski out! It was down a winding and hilly road that was easy to find with Marks instructions; I was grateful for the all wheel drive on our vehicle to get us there :) The house itself is also very impressive—it was beautiful, well constructed, clean and well stocked. Mark and his brother were super responsive and very friendly. We had a great stay!
