Gorgeous natural build in the forest above the lake. Great amenities for a remote location. Can walk or take affordable local transport (boat or tuk-tuk) to any of the surrounding lake towns. Restaurants within walking distance. Safe neighborhood for a female solo traveler.

Luzmi’s place is a gem by the lake, with a gorgeous view surrounded by beautiful nature. This is a place for the adventurous looking for a home away from home. Luzmi is also a wonderful host with a lot of beautiful stories to share about the area and her life. I can only recommend staying here.

Great spot for a couple nights in Tecpan! A little removed from town, so you can still hear some of the noise, but the cabin itself is peaceful and the hosts are very helpful.

Absolutely Stunning place , one of the best views and a very unique place . Amazed how the smallest detail was taken care off . It has all the amenities of a 5 star hotel with the best views of the lake .

Was a stunning view from the Airbnb which we loved morning and night. It is a walk to get up so we recommend using the tuk tuk driver they suggest to help bring heavy luggage up and down at the start and end. The cabin does get very cold at night as there is no curtains and a slight opening at the top that lets the cold in and there wasn’t many places for us to store our things

“Cozy little cabin in the forest” fit the description perfectly! Juan (caretaker) was very responsive and kind. Would be more accurate to describe toilet as “pit toilet.”

Very beautiful little place. We loved the fireplace and the view. Only thing is you can hear everything from dogs barking to tuc tucs so if you have a bad sleep you need earplugs. Also the bed is quite hard😅

Truly an amazing stay! Overall I really enjoyed this space, the views, peaceful and tranquil environment. I really appreciated the supportive and helpful host, rapidly responding to my questions or requests and providing an excellent experience in Tzununa on a daily basis! The house, outdoor space, bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect for my needs. Having the privacy to a house and front yard after busy days of travel was ideal and relaxing. Considering how close to the lake it is, there is no smell or humidity when keeping the door or windows open, which I prefer! The house was accessible through the local boats, with its own boarding dock always readily available. I highly recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a private and peaceful home during their travels!

It is a beautiful facility & the cabins are amazing. The sauna & pool are beautiful! The restaurant Posada Santiago is fabulous, however there just isn’t much going on in Santiago.

Such an amazing and serendipitous stay. This little lakeside cottage was exactly what I needed for my week away in San Marcos. The area is perfect and easy access to the downtown San Marcos area. The bungalow itself is super quaint and perfect for 1-3 people. Filtered water provided and a full kitchenette and refrigerator to prepare your own food. The fire pit was lovely as well which I wasn’t expecting. Whenever I plan to be back in San Marcos I will absolutely be checking to see if this airbnb is available during my planned stay. Thank you!

A wonderful, magical place! Food was D-licious and staff super helpful and friendly. The walk to the hotel is quite the hike and challenging with the amount of bags I had, but totally worth it! Thank you for the hospitality!

hola fue muy bonita experiencia, lo recomiendo, pero tal vez ayudaría un poco tener cortinas no trasparentes en la cabaña para sentirse cómodos. y no tener tantos lazos de colgar ropa en todo el espacio para que pueda apreciarse más el hermoso lugar. pero todo lo demás muy acogedor y Chello muy atento. gracias por la experiencia.

Situé au cœur de la nature c'est très agréable, le personnel est très aimable. L'écologie est très bien respectée. La chambre est très bien, la nourriture peu chère et très bonne. Je recommande.

Getting to this place is definitely an adventure as many others have mentioned. The walking path requires you to be comfortable with a rocky little hike. However, you are rewarded with the most gorgeous views, infinite privacy, and restorative solitude. The place had everything I needed to enjoy being this close to the lake. It was a wonderful experience staying here and I enjoyed how off the baten path it was.
