Amazing and unique property in charming Marfa. We loved seeing the story of the container home laid out in a shareable booklet on the coffee table. The house was extremely functional in its layout. We outran and hunkered down through a dust storm and we felt very cozy here throughout the duration. Amazing landscapes from all 360 degrees to wake up to. The host(s) were great communicators and we feel very blessed to have been able to snag a long weekend here.

This place is a hidden gem - super central, yet peaceful and safe. The hosts were friendly and gave great local recommendations. I wanted to check out lots of the nearby hiking trails, so being able to bring my dog Felix along was a big plus. If you’re looking for a quiet retreat that’s also a great deal, this spot might be perfect. It definitely was for us. And we will definitely stay again in the future.

We were looking for a place close enough to walk to coffee, groceries, and restaurants, but far enough away from the noise of the Main Street in La Ventana, and this was perfect. The house sits up on the hill so sunrises are gorgeous and the neighborhood is quiet. The house had everything we needed, including a vitamix! Our favorite part of the property is the backyard oasis which was shaded so very comfortable even in the heat of the day. We were in La Ventana for wind sports and found the location ideal because we were an easy drive to Rasta or La Tuna beaches in one direction, and equally easy drive to Playa Central in the other. Another bonus to the location - it's right up the hill from the farmers market! We plan to stay here again.

Loved our stay at Fossil Knob Ridge. Super cool space with gorgeous views of the surrounding landscape. Plenty of space for 3-4 people. Had a lovely patio perfect for stargazing. Tucked into Terlingua, so you're close to all the great things in the Ghost Town and Study Butte is just a short drive down the road. Kitchen is well stocked with all the necessities. Beds were super comfortable. Had plenty of linens, towels, blankets, etc. for a comfortable stay. Don't ignore the host's recommendation to have a high-clearance vehicle. As with many access roads in Terlingua and Big Bend NP, the drive from Starlight Theater to the Fossil Knob Ridge cabins is not paved and can be tough to navigate with a low car. Highly recommend staying here! We had the best time and can't wait to go back.

This place was so cute and super clean! It’s just a short walk to the beach and nearby restaurants, which made everything super convenient. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves at night—such a peaceful touch. The host was also really responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Would definitely come back!

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb, located just 30 minutes from the Big Bend entrance. The location was absolutely perfect—peaceful, private, and surrounded by the beauty of the desert. It felt like the perfect escape from the noise and distractions of everyday life. The space itself was very cozy and comfortable, making it easy to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. We loved how quiet and serene the area was, and the clear night skies were a highlight. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway near Big Bend!

Super homey little casita. Close enough to the town that you can get anywhere within less than 5-10 minutes, but still felt like there was nobody else around you - great views! It is literally right next to the train tracks and the train comes through at night and can be pretty loud - did not bother us too much but if you're a sensitive sleeper might keep that in mind! Overall great experience and had a great time at the house

Peaceful desert experience under the night’s sky. Quiet, clean, within an hour of the park, and about 35 minutes from the restaurants/shopping in Terlingua. The outdoor fire pit is a wonderful spot. Four chairs, lots of wood available, and materials to cook over the open flame. Be mindful that water conservation is critical here. The shower was nice and warm, but don’t expect to have a spa experience (water will run out and take a bit to “refill”). This is a very small space. We had 4 adults, and you should plan on living out of your luggage. There are storage shelves in the rooms, which are very helpful. Energy use should also be limited. Don’t run too many appliances at once. (Pro tip: turn AC off while cooking, or wait to use the microwave until you’re done using the stove top).

Basic, good value for value. The only container housing unit in a vast open area. Very dark ambience, great to just watch and admire the beautiful sky and the whole canvass of stars.

Oltre all'insolito ma fantastico alloggio è la posizione che lo rende unico, una parete, la più grande è completamente vetrata e si affaccia direttamente sull'enorme spiaggia di bianchissima sabbia, quando mi sono sdraiato mi sono detto" non chiuderò le tende, voglio godermi il tramonto la notte stellata e l'alba." Il paese è piccolissimo ma c'è tutto. Un luogo dove ho lasciato il cuore.

La mejor experiencia. Cerca de los restaurantes y vinícolas mas importantes del Valle de Guadalupe. Muy limpio, seguro y tranquilo. El trato fue de primera. Algo nuevo que nos sorprendió en Tierra Amada fue que nos ofrecieron la degustación de cervezas artesanales y sus vinos. Riquísimos 👌🏻 Definitivamente sera donde me hospede en cada visita a Valle de Guadalupe.

Great home base for exploring Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park. Brianna did a great job making me feel welcomed and setting up the space well despite being off grid - didn't feel like I was staying off grid at all. Brianna is also super helpful with recommendations/advice regarding Big Bend - made my trip much more fun as a result. Would recommend to anyone looking for some peace and quiet out in the desert!
