Our stay at Tarja and Scott’s house was one of the best adventures of our lives. Even before the trip, they were very kind and helpful. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and had everything we needed. The house was cozy and warm, with plenty of firewood. There is also a beautiful kota near the house where we could cook on the fire and watch the northern lights. We were lucky to see the aurora five nights in a row. Scott also gave us great advice about hiking and kindly let us stay a bit longer on our last day. Before we left, we had a nice talk and learned more about his life. We will always remember this peaceful place by the lake and hope to return one day. :)

Vierailitiin jo toista kertaa tässä kohteessa. Erinomainen sijainti Äkäslompolo- järven rannalla hienoin maisemin ja samalla kuitenkin keskellä Äkäslompolon kylän taajamaa lähellä kaikkia palveluja. Lähes pihasta pääsi hiihtämään järven jäälle ja hiihtoreiteille. Yhtenä iltana ihailtiin upeita revontulia Äkäslompolo- järven jäällä. Uusi moderni talo, kaikki tarvittava löytyi. Kaikki meni hienosti ja oli mukava viettää jälleen talvilomaa kohteessa. Kiitos Matti.

Chalé com 3 quartos, muito confortável, zona e exterior muito bonita e cuidada. Com sauna, jacuzzi exterior, máquina lavar roupa e louça, cozinha bem equipada. Recomendo tanto no inverno como no verão. Fica a 25 min do centro de Rovaniemi. O hotel Ártic Snow hotel com o bar de gelo fica a 1,5 km de distância. Anfitrião sempre contactavel.

We had a wonderful stay at Juhas house. The house is very cosy and comfortable, very well equipped with all necessary supplies in the kitchen and clean. We were a family of six.

The stay was amazing! Jyry was extremely helpful and responsive the entire time. The home was very clean and very nice. The surroundings were beautiful, and we got some great views of the northern lights from here. Was definitely worth it to stay here

johanna's airbnb in the center of rovaniemi was the perfect accommodation for two girls exploration the city over a long weekend. johanna was very welcoming and helped us feel right at home in her place. it was spotless clean and included plenty of the amenities, including a dishwasher, stove, oven, washing machine and dryer, shower, hair dryer, and even a sauna! the private sauna in the bathroom was such a cool experience that we really enjoyed. the house manual included helpful instructions for using the finnish appliances. the beds were very comfortable and the apartment was quiet and cozy. the location is perfect - we were right near the grocery store, shopping mall, and all the restaurants in rovaniemi. it was really easy to walk to dinner every night and to shop during the day. it was also a short uber to the santa claus village. several location tourist agencies are nearby, so it was easy to get picked up for our northern lights and reindeer tours.

This is sort of an unique place. If you are looking for a quiet little cabin in the wood in order to reconnect this is the right choice. Certain aspects are a bit strange, but this is due to location and so on. Great experience and the hot tub during the night with the snow...it is totally worth it!

Amazing Stay! I had a wonderful experience staying at this flat. It's perfectly located, close to everything you could need. The flat itself was spotless, and it had everything I needed for a comfortable stay—such a thoughtful touch from the owner. Plus, it had a bidet, which was a great one! Morag, the owner, was incredibly kind and always available to answer my questions. She provided great solutions to any concerns I had and even kept us updated on the local weather. In short, Morag and the flat definitely deserve more than a 5-star rating!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Nicholas. L’accueil et les instructions étaient très clairs. L’appartement était très chaleureux et fonctionnel, nous nous y sommes très bien sentis. Le sauna est un véritable atout que nous avons beaucoup apprécié. Nous recommandons sans hésiter Nicholas et son appartement pour découvrir Rovaniemi et ses environs.

Excellent location short walking distance from Levi center, yet very peaceful and spacious (at least for 4 people). Listening to the noise of the after ski in the center, we were happy to live further away. Owner very responsive and sign in with key box very easy. Good instructions in advance both in Finnish and in English. One bedroom down stairs (double bed), two bedrooms upstairs (2 x twin). Both floors have their own toilets. Bathroom/sauna separate. Also little "play room" upstairs which could also with a desk be an office for remote work. Could fit in a baby bed, not more. Drying cabinet for ski stuff, kitchen very well equipped. Living room area spacious with high sealing & big tv. We didn't use the fire place. The only minus is limited space for storing clothing, no space for wardrobes in the bed rooms. Blinders but no way to fully block light from the bed rooms. We appriciated the dish washer and the washing machine.

Siisti ja rauhallinen asunto, joka sopi hyvin kahdelle henkilölle. Makuuparvelle portaat ovat hieman jyrkät, sänky oli hyvä nukkua. Saunassa sai hyvät löylyt ja siellä pystyi myös kuivattamaan vaatteita. Hyvä tukikohta muutaman päivän ulkoilulomalle.

Logement très bien situé au sein de Rovaniemi , emplacement idéal face a un Park pour observer les aurores boréales ! Logement pratique et fonctionnel , il répond à nos attentes , je recommande sans hésiter !

Nous avons passé notre lune de miel dans ce beau chalet. Marja a toujours été réactive que ce soit en amont du voyage pour la préparation ou pendant le sejour. Elle nous as conseillé de nombreux endroits et nous n'avons jamais été déçues ! Quand au chalet il est parfait, confortable et fonctionnel (mise à part l'absence d'une douche). Il est bien agencé et la nature autour est magique. Les photos de l'annonce sont bien mais le chalet est encore mieux en vrai ! C'était vraiment une très belle semaine qui nous aura marqué pour toujours

Das Cottage liegt wunderschön a m See in ruhiger Lage und läd zum Entspannen ein. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit, waren am See und in der Umgebung wandern und im nahe gelegenen Valkea Lodge (ca. 25min Autofahrt) kann man einige Aktivitäten buchen, wie Husky oder eine Snowmobiltour. Das Haus selbst ist top ausgestattet mit allem was man brauch! Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt! Die Unterkunft war sauber, gut ausgestattet und hat wirklich alles geboten, was wir gebraucht haben. Die Kommunikation mit Ilke und Blake war super – sie waren immer schnell erreichbar und haben uns mit hilfreichen Tipps zu Aktivitäten in der Umgebung versorgt. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und abgelegen, was perfekt für Erholung ist. Ein Auto ist definitiv von Vorteil, um die Gegend zu erkunden. Wir können Lapland Lights nur weiterempfehlen!

Wir waren von dem Cabin absolut beeindruckt! Absolut sauber, voll ausgestattete Küche, unglaublich tolle Umgebung und absolute Ruhe. Bitte bucht nicht, damit ich jederzeit dort einfach buchen kann. Absoluter Geheimtipp! Vielleicht noch wichtig, wir waren Anfang März dort. Beste Winterbedingungen.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage direkt am See mit Zugang zu den Loipen und abends zur Polarlichtbeobachtung ist genial. Auch der Supermarkt ist direkt um die Ecke. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber, gemütlich und gut ausgestattet, sodass man sich direkt wie zu Hause fühlt.

Meillä oli ihana hiihtoloma Ylläksellä, ja mökki toimi oikein hyvin meidän tarpeisiin.

Wir haben es absolut geliebt! Die Hütte ist total heimelig und lädt zu gemütlichen Spielenachmittagen vor dem flackernden Ofen ein. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet, sogar Basislebensmittel wie Mehl, Tee, div. Gewürze, Nudeln, Reis, etc. waren vorhanden. Nicht unwichtig wenn der nächste Supermarkt 70km entfernt ist. Keine fünf Gehminuten ist der See entfernt, ein perfekter Ort zum Polarlichter schauen. Freie Sicht in alle Richtungen, sofern es die Wolken zulassen ;-) Keine nennenswerte Lichtverschmutzung in der Umgebung, ein Traum. Tero hat uns auf Anfrage diverse Aktivitäten empfohlen, wodurch wir Janne, den Rentierzüchter in Unari kennengelernt haben. Das war wirklich eine besondere Erfahrung, zwischen hunderten von Rentieren zu stehen, die sich wie wild ums Futter getummelt haben. Wir sind uns wie in einer Tierdoku vorgekommen ;-) Also wer es gerne abgeschieden mag, ist hier genau richtig :-D

We had an amazing stay. The house is a gem, a simple beauty with lots of attention to detail, very spacious with beautiful finish designs (even the bedsheets were matching the Iitala kitchen bowls!) and equipped with everything you need. We spent many hours at the lake enjoying the constantly changing views and stunning mirror-images in the lake. We were so lucky with the weather that we always ate out on the terrasse or the jetty. The grill Kotta is great for barbequing as well. We also enjoyed a few hikes and Kayak tours in the area and definitely want to come again in a different season to experience the changing landscape and nature. Juha and Kate were great communicative hosts, we highly recommend this place.
