We had a lovely long weekend at Andrew's cottage. It was easy to get to and easy to get in! It was just like staying at a friend's house, with some nice personal touches. We had no trouble parking outside. There are a couple of local shops for essentials, and also take aways. We enjoyed meeting the lovely dog next door, and our two pooches made use of Andrew's back garden. We spent a day in Lancaster, and a day in Morecambe. We also enjoyed walkies at the local parks. The house was warm, and the beds were comfy! Made some happy memories.

We had such a fabulous stay at Carole’s place in Warton. The lodge was immaculate and so well equipped with everything we needed. The location was quiet, private and set around a lovely small lake. 30 minute drive to Windermere and 15 minutes to Lancaster. Would highly recommend and look forward to staying again in the future.

Felt like we’d arrived home. We’d been travelling for ten days when we arrived at Sarah and Mark’s place. Greeted in the garden, right away we settled in, met the family and enjoyed a tour of the garden. I liked all the comfy touches; living plants, lots of books and albums to peruse and a well stocked breakfast ‘bar’. I agreed with my friend - they have the best shower ever!! Wished we could have stayed longer. PS The beds were comfy and the views into the garden - lovely!

This was our third visit, not felt the need to look for anything else when visiting relatives in the area. It's comfortable, well priced, and Jontti is responsive and leaves lots of provisions which help when you arrive late. You even get some choice! Of the 7 Airbnb's we've used this has to be the best equipped. Recommended.

A beautiful retreat in a beautiful part of the world. A great place for a meeting amongst friends. Plenty of space, extra blankets for cold nights and a fire to keep warm. An amazing authentic experiences which was loved by all of us. This was a place to remember. Thanks.

We had a wonderful long weekend in Malham with our pet dog. ‘The Old Barn Cottage’ is a perfect location for walks to local beauty spots, as well as being close to local bars and restaurants. On arrival, a very helpful assistant in the adjoining cafe checked us in and ensured we had everything we needed. Lawrence was very responsive and helpful on a couple of points we had being in a different house (where to park and help with how to unlock the induction hob). They were quickly resolved so we could enjoy our break as we had planned. Overall, this pretty old cottage is very spacious, comfortable, well equipped and in a fabulous location. Great value for money.

Beautiful home. Incredibly comfortable beds. Cosy, clean, a lovely welcome note and snacks. Tess was responsive and helpful throughout. Lovely pub just up the road, reasonably priced and absolutely delicious food.

Absolutely loved our stay — 5 stars! Check-in was seamless, and the property was immaculately clean and beautifully presented. Communication with the host was easy and smooth throughout. The hot tub offered amazing views — such a relaxing treat — and the BBQ hut was a fun and cozy bonus. We also made great use of the EV charger, which was a godsend in this fantastic Lake District location. Couldn’t recommend this place more highly!

Exceptional! The accommodation was spacious, quirky in a good way, surprisingly well equipped, and no expense spared. Our host Ivan was extremely helpful and a pleasure to talk to. We plan to return!

Thankyou Sophia for a wonderful stay! The complimentary tea, coffee, milk, bread & butter were such a simple yet appreciative touch! I had everything I needed utensil wise to cook for myself which was fantastic, especially with the co-op across the road 😁 The decor & appearance of the property were modern yet homely, definitely well planned. The bathroom was well stocked with lush towels & soaps. The bed… the pillows & duvet… i shall be purchasing those when i get he for sure! 10/10 sleep 😴 Can we also mention the BATH?! Stunning feature & deep enough to feel like you’re in a pool. Thankyou for hosting me Sophia, would love to return. 5 ⭐! Sarah x

Great location in Dufton right on the Pennine Way. A perfect base for walking and exploring the beautiful local countryside. Compact residence with everything you'd need. Very clean and tidy and well laid out. Friendly, personal greeting from Julie, once I'd settled in, and really nice to have fresh bread, eggs and milk provided and even a welcome cake. Any questions and Julie was on hand to help.

Beautiful cottage in great location in the centre of town and handy for the Lakes. Spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished with lots of lovely touches like a beautiful bunch of flowers and goodies on arrival. Highly recommended.

What a lovely find for a last minute get away. Very easy to book and communication was excellent. We were greeted by Martin, who offered to help with our luggage, quirky followed by Howard. Both hosts were friendly, chatty and welcoming and were available if we needed anything during our stay. Howie provided us with a parking permit, a bargain at £5 and Martin showed us to our suite to make sure we were happy. Recommendations for places to visit were also given The suite was spotless and had everything we needed for our short stay. Bed was super comfy, fluffy towels and it was great to have a living area to relax when we returned later in the evening. On leaving the following morning, Martin came to say bye and again offered to carry our luggage. We had a lovely time, great hosts and will definitely return and recommend to family and friends. Thanks Martin and Howie.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Motherby House and am so grateful to the hosts, Jacquie and David, for making me feel so welcome. They’re both kind and engaging—and they gave me some great recommendations for places to eat and visit in the area. Breakfast was delicious and Jacquie kindly made me a tasty packed lunch for my hike! I’d be very happy to stay here again.

Had a peaceful nights sleep, Jacqueline and Geoff are friendly warm welcoming hosts. And Geoffs home made granola was heavenly, thank you so so much. The room was warm cosy perfect 💚✨🌳

Had an excellent couple of nights in Marco’s ‘Ingleborough’ pod set in an enclosed garden with super views of Pen-y-Ghent and the surrounding countryside. Loved watching the robin in the garden stare in at us! The pod is well designed and fully equipped for a very comfortable stay. Marco is a very friendly host and he serves his guests a tasty cooked breakfast of their choice to the door each morning. Fresh fruits, juices, milk, bread, yoghurts and more are provided too! Would definitely recommend a stay here and it is our intention to be back very soon!

Robin was an incredibly kind, respectful, and helpful host with a wealth of knowledge about the local area. He gave us excellent recommendations on what to see and do. Each morning, he prepared a delightful breakfast for us, and it was a pleasure getting to know him a little bit. We would 100% recommend staying at How Head Barn! I can't recommend Brenda's place highly enough! This was the most authentic and wonderful Airbnb experience I've ever had. From the moment I arrived, Brenda's warmth and hospitality made me feel completely at home. The room was not just cosy and comfortable, but also thoughtfully equipped with everything you could possibly need for a truly relaxing stay. The location is perfect for exploring the Lake District. It's a wonderful driving distance from just about every spot in the Lakes, and yet the village feels perfectly unspoilt, tucked away from the busier areas. What truly set this stay apart was Brenda herself. She went above and beyond to ensure I had a memorable trip, providing invaluable local tips and was so interested and supportive of my research, even gathering lots of books for me to read! Overall it felt more like visiting a dear friend. If you're looking for a genuine, heartwarming, and truly authentic Lake District experience, this is it! ❤️

We were only staying for one night but we were made to feel so welcome right from the outset. We were tired after a lot of travelling so had a peaceful evening in our room which had amazing views out of the dual aspect windows. Breakfast was absolutely excellent and we left feeling like we had been there a lot longer than 18 hours. We had a great nights sleep in the very comfortable bed and were well rested for our onward journey. Highly recommend the Railway Inn at the Ribblehead Viaduct, staff so friendly and food just brilliant.

Jayne and Karl are the most wonderful, welcoming and friendly hosts I’ve met. From the moment we arrived soaking wet from walking all day along the Hadrian’s Wall Path in the rain Jayne gave us a friendly welcome and offered to dry our wet boots. The rooms were warm, the beds VERY comfortable and the views outstanding and the peace was wonderful too. The home cooked food was tasty and cooked with great care and we opted for a packed lunch to take with us too. If you’re walking the Hadrian’s Wall Path find a way to stay here!
