Lovely place just as described. Had a great, quiet and peaceful stay. Interesting drive in on the dirt road in mid-March and the driveway is quite steep but all worth the efforts once you get there.

This was an amazing place to relax and enjoy the weekend. The wifi worked great the tv was great. Had many of the little things you often forget like spices for cooking and sugar, coffee, lots of large bowls etc. beds took up a lot of the room space but were very welcoming and comfortable. The deck was awesome large and lots of places to sit relax and enjoy the sun. The kayaks were fun and easy to use. The sandy launch was great. Fire pit was fun for our marshmallow roast. Hot tub was hot and enjoyable. Would definitely go another time. Black flies were swarming. Should have bring better bug spray but that was on us. Host was fast to answer questions and helpful with info. The local restaurants listed were closed but we had lots of our own food so we were fine but we went early May so maybe the season for them wasn’t open yet. Very peaceful and relaxing.

My partner and I loved staying here for the Easter weekend. It had stunning views and we liked the size of the place because it made it more cozy and intimate. The town is very lovely as well! Only feedback is the TV is high up so sitting on the couch to watch TV really hurt the neck but everything else was fantastic ! The hot tub was the perfect temperature which usually I find hot tubs far too hot. We loved listening to the ocean when going to sleep as well and both the bed upstairs and downstairs were comfortable. Highly recommend this place :)

Lina’s place is extraordinary. So quiet and peaceful a great getaway from the city. Lina’s place had everything we could need for weekend away- they even had robes for after the hot tub! The king bed was super comfy! We will be back.

Our second summer stay was just as wonderful as the first. More familiar this time, so the whole family felt right at home. Chris was once again very warm and welcoming in his communications. Look forward to our third stay next year if we can be so fortunate.

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage! It was the perfect retreat after a day of exploring beautiful NS. The home is next to the road but it was pretty quiet overall. We may suggest blackout curtains on the windows behind the bed so that the light is blocked from incoming cars. We would highly recommend this cottage!

We had a wonderful stay. The bunkie was cozy and well decorated. Rhonda clearly put a lot of effort into giving the space a great vibe and a theme that followed through entirely. It was still easy to get out and do activities. Can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful Spot, very private. You could hear the gees in the lake, the wood peckers in the trees and the peepers in the pond. Excellent communication and very responsive. Had a great getaway.

What a jewel their cottage is, and exactly as described. The cottage was immaculate and everything you need is there and then some. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished we had longer to visit. We would not hesitate to recommend to anyone wanting to explore the area, while enjoying a nice relaxing place to stay on a lovely lake. Loved the kayaking as well.

An amazing and peaceful escape to the woods. The cabin is perfect with a beautiful deck and view. Has just the right amount of comfort while allowing you to enjoy nature. Tina and Graham are fantastic hosts, kind people, and take pride in their perfect cabin in the woods. Our dog was welcome and comfortable with lots of space to explore, they even loaned us their visibility vests and a dog bed! We will definitely be coming back.

Cabin was homey, comfortable, clean and had everything you would need. Area was quiet with privacy, a large deck, beautiful yard with hammock, loungers and a chair swing by the water. Playground is well maintained and safe. The lake was the highlight of our stay! There is a small beach area to wade into the water or you can jump right off the dock. The water is calm, warm and very clean. We spent all day swimming, out on the paddle boat or canoes. If you go into the cove in the boats you can find painted turtles and frogs. There were no mosquitoes as we were outside all day and night by the fire pit. On rain days the screened in porch was great for meals and games of cards. The cabin had a bunch of boardgames and movies we could enjoy. Denis is very welcoming, a great host and respectful of your stay. We had a really wonderful time.

We had a lovely three-night stay at cottage #1. We travelled as two adults with two small children (ages 2 and 6). The cottage was clean and well-equipped with kitchen gadgets, dishes, utensils and cooking supplies, plenty of linens, and even a drawer of board games and colouring supplies that our kids really appreciated. We were happy to have the BBQ and fire pit to use as well. The amazing beach is literally right across the street, as well as the Quarterdeck restaurant. It was very convenient especially with two kids to just be able to walk across the street and access beach fun and a meal if we wanted. Check-in was very easy with a door code provided before our arrival, and Eric and Dawn kindly checked on us via message daily to ensure we had all we needed. I would highly recommend this cottage to others. Thanks for the great stay!

This cozy, warm, welcoming place is a perfect home base for exploring Nova Scotia. My husband and I loved it. We will try to return. It was a wonderful stay. I highly recommend it without any hesitation.

To say we were satisfied is an understatement. We most definitely will be booking again to utilize in the summer season. We rented this time to be closer to the venue holding my sons wedding, and having such a wonderful home and hosts made is so much easier on us ❤️

Perfect getaway from the busy world! No Wifi, no plumbing...back to simple basics, closer to the rhythm of the sun. Chance to reconnect as a couple, celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary. There are bright lights from a nearby wharf which would usually bother me, having to use an eye mask. Nope, slept like a babe without a mask. The wind in the trees, perfect. The cabin is a mere few steps from the coast. Lovely part of coastal Nova Scotia: in two days we visited five beaches, the towns of Barrington and Shelburne the Baccaro Lighthouse and National Historic Site Fort Saint Louis. Mark lives nearby but allowed us privacy. Gave explanations on how everything works and was available if needed. Though we brought our own, provided plenty of firewood, water and bonus: great diesel heater! Nice roads to walk as little traffic. Friendly community, felt very safe. Several female deer, an eagle. Note, there is Ingomar and Ingomar Road, the "Road" is where his cabin is located.

My boyfriend and I stayed for the weekend and had an amazing time! We took the kayaks out on the lake for a nice Fall paddle. The property was beautiful and there were lots of thoughtful touches. Shayma was easy to communicate with and very friendly. We would definitely stay here again!

LOVED the Fish Store so much! Great views of the water, great hospitality, great fires with sounds of the ocean, cozy atmosphere. Great paradise away from home! Laura and Jeff were very welcoming and hospitable!

Ford was a fantastic host! His directions were super easy to understand.. As soon as we pulled into the driveway, Ford was there to let us know we were in the right place. He gave us a tour of our space and showed us the kayak and canoe and offered to take us for a boat ride on the lake. We also made it back in time for a beautiful sunset and loved every minute of our stay. The cabin was rustic, clean and very cozy! We had a small fire going the whole time in the wood stove and enjoyed disconnecting from the world for a weekend. It was one of our favorite stays yet! Can't wait to return!

This cabin is in a very beautiful part of the world and is right by the lobster pound which made for a great experience. We were not prepared for how rustic the cabin is …. It’s not insulated so it was pretty chilly and we should have had the heaters set up. It was a nice stay and we did enjoy the space (particularly the beautiful hydrangeas) as well as the proximity to the ocean.

Loved this quiet peaceful space for a family getaway. Close to gorgeous beaches. 15-20min away from Carters beach and Summerville beach. The latter is a great beginner surfing beach.
