Peace or Shanti (to which the Verandah belongs) along with the other houses in tree-filled Bose Compound, was built in the 1930s by my great grandfather, Aurobindo Bose, a devotee of Ramana Maharishi. Bose Compound is a 2min walk away from Ramana Ashram where one can also begin the climb up Arunachala. We're located on the Girivalam road with Nilgiris, small shops & eateries close by. Soak in the sunlight or enjoy the monsoon showers in the large terrace on the floor above. Mosquito nets fixed on all doors and windows. This is on the second floor with no lift.
