the neighborhood is so peaceful and quiet. the unit is new and very clean with almost complete appliances including refrigarator, microwave oven and even a washing machine! supplies are pretty much complete also. the host is very helpful and responds to queries fast. the host provided easy to follow instructions before check-in day. overall, it was a pleasant stay! 😊

Loved staying here. 5 minute walk to the train station. It was by the longest shopping street. Very comfortable for a family of 4. Everything was clean and well laid out.

The place was easy to find, very much walkable from the closest station. The hosts are very responsive too, even recommended some restaurants to go to.

The stay was great and our host was very responsive. The location is perfect as all three konbinis and a pharmacy are nearby! Would definitely stay again!

位置好，步行幾分鐘到天滿站（不夜天），邊行邊看很快到中畸町及梅田，方便吃喝玩樂，房間舒服簡潔，適合1-3人居住。 因靠近列車沿線，會聽到列車駛過的聲音，但音量可接受。

Thank you Wei for hosting us at your beautiful home. Wei's house is cosy, comfortable, clean and beautiful. We have plenty of space for a family of 4. Location is very close to Toji Station, Toji temple and walkable to Aeon shopping mall.

Location: central but tucked in a more residential and quiet alley allowing for peace but also convenience. 15-20min walk to most places you want to go (gion, pontocho, sannenzaka, nishiki). Place and amenities: super clean and has everything you could possibly need (including laundry). Only callout is to be mindful of the stairs to go up to bedroom.

A beautiful traditional minka but with all mod cons - loved the interior design and the layout - perfect for a family of five with 3 separate bedrooms, a brilliant wet room and washer dryer - thank you for the warm welcome too - it was our best stay of the trip! ♥️🙏🏻♥️

Our stay at Yamashita’s beautiful 100-year-old Japanese villa in Kyoto was the perfect way to end our 2 week vacation in Japan. The house is spacious, very clean, and well-equipped, perfect for our group of 12. It has everything you need and more. It has a serene garden, jacuzzi, and sauna—the kids especially loved the jacuzzi! Yamashita is an EXCEPTIONAL host—very warm, helpful, and accommodating. She drove us to supermarkets and places we wanted to go and even picked us up for a small fee. She prepared simple yet delicious breakfasts. She was quick to respond to messages and even guided us on using local buses. Though the house is a bit far from the touristy areas, the peace and quiet of Yamashita’s home made it the perfect retreat. It offered a more authentic and relaxing experience of Japan. I highly recommend Yamashita’s villa to anyone looking for comfort, culture, and outstanding hospitality. And to anyone looking for a truly memorable stay in a traditional Japanese home.

Stayed for 2 weeks there. Residential, quiet area within several minutes walking to mass transit points (train, subway, bus). Pleasant, peaceful place, exactly as depicted on the website. Very comfortable as all the amenities are very modern. The host was very responsive; gave a tour of the house on our arrival so pretty much we felt at home straight away. The only minus was that the host supplied linens (bedding and towels) for one week only so we had to take care of washing and drying them for the second week. It took a chunk of our vacation time.

Extraordinary place! Me and my family had planned to stay for just one night and after checking in we decided to stay to extend our stay. Hope to be back someday!

Beautiful home in a traditional, cozy neighborhood. It was beautiful ly decorated and peaceful. Location is a bit outside the main city area, which made it easy to access the national parks and monuments.
