This 100 year old duplex cottage is walking distance to many fun shops and eateries. 5 minutes on foot to Bixby Park overlooking the Pacific Ocean. This cottage has a private rear patio space to relax after a day of shopping or beach time. Kitchen is equipped to prepare meals if you wish. But there are many dining options within walking distance. This home is not wheelchair accessible. No pets and no smoking.

The property includes the Main House, where I reside, and a charming, stand-alone cottage for guests.

Studio Cottage

This is a small Studio cottage at the rear of my home. It's craftsmanesk in style with a partially open ceiling and a skylight. It's perfect for a couple or single person. There is a swimming pool but it's not heated, fine for swimming June to Oct depending on the weather, unless you are a polar bear. It's a 5 min walk to the MetroGold Line and a 10 min walk to new restaurants on Figueroa St. I have a fairly extensive cactus / succulent garden.

Peace and serenity in the city.

Very quite and a perfect retreat for a single person or couple, or we have had several writers use it as a writing retreat.
