I had the pleasure of staying at Tensas Tower, and the images don’t do it justice. Paul, the host, was excellent—responsive and thoughtful. The location is perfect, within walking distance of great spots, yet feels private. The architectural design is stunning, blending industrial and nautical elements. Multiple balconies offer plenty of seating and are positioned perfectly for sunrise and sunset views. Inside, the space is larger than expected, with a smart layout, great surround sound, and a record collection. The bed is incredibly comfortable, and the shower—with five heads and great pressure—is a hidden gem. Now, the staircase is small and steep, but that’s part of the architectural charm. I recommend bringing a small suitcase or soft bag for easier transport. That said, the space is well thought out, making for an unforgettable stay. If you’re looking for a unique getaway that blends comfort, style, and great design, the Tensas Tower is absolutely worth it.

Wow what a beautiful oasis. This has to be one of my fave Airbnb places I’ve ever stayed at in the world. Totally recommend. We stayed for 2 nights at the end of our family holiday to the southern states of USA. Our 3 sons all agreed it was their fave place too particularly my 2 younger sons who were overjoyed by the lake and being able to fish to their hearts content. Our only regret is that we didn’t book to stay longer. All the little touches as well as the location (and super friendly neighbours) make this a gem not to be missed.

Wow!!!!!!! I’ve stayed at a lot of Airbnb/Vrbo locations. I’ve even owned a short term rental property. None….including my own, comes close to matching the awesomeness of this property!! Mary was such a gracious and thoughtful host. Her hospitality is unmatched. My grand children are still mentioning “Ms. Mary”. This property will now be thought of as a destination for me. Not just a place to stay when I’m traveling to this area. If Airbnb had a program that recognized the Airbnb of the year….this property would definitely be a top contender!!

Our stay at this Airbnb was absolutely incredible! The courtyard was beautiful creating such a peaceful and inviting atmosphere. One of the highlights was the breathtaking bayou-side scenery—waking up to those serene views was truly unforgettable. The home itself was spotless, well-appointed, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was fantastic, offering great recommendations and ensuring we had a seamless experience. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with gorgeous surroundings, this is the perfect place. We can’t wait to come back! Thanks so much!!

Adorable spot right off downtown New Iberia. Mickey and Tiffany were very proactive in their communications and gave clear descriptions of where to park and how to check in. The place is sweet, with a comfortable bed, cute washer/dryer unit, great bathtub, and peaceful back deck overlooking the bayou. We also appreciated the bottled water! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Wow, what an awesome hidden gem 💎!! We had the best time and everything was precisely as described!! Patti is an excellent host and goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable!! Our daughter and her friends had a wonderful time kayaking down Petite Anse and sunbathing on the deck overlooking the bayou!! I had the best time fishing and soaking up all the scenery of the wildlife and landscape…. My husband said “he was in the clouds” whilst he slept in the very comfy bed downstairs!! Pristinely clean and very well stocked with all amenities!! All the sweet lil extras was a welcome treat!! TY Will definitely be back!! 💯 🙏🙌💖🎣🥂

Lauren’s place is truly a gem!!! From the tranquil grounds and peaceful bayou, to the rich culture and beauty inside the home, everything about this place is so breathtaking!! If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat to catch your breath and get away from the busyness of life, Magical Moon Over Bayou is the place to book!! Lauren is so kind and was great to communicate with. Her response time was quick and her detailed instructions with pictures included were very clear and easy to understand. We definitely hope we can stay at Magical Moon Over Bayou again!! Thank you so much Lauren!!
