Betsy Lee is friendly and helpful! She greeted us when we arrived and made us feel comfortable instantly. An eagle perched on a branch less than 100 ft away from the porch, and regularly patrolled the creek over the 4 days and nights that we enjoyed in the subtle creek sounds and early signs of spring. With Rickets Glen close by, this is likely to be a destination we revisit in the future. If you are looking for local things to do, Betsy Lee has you covered… and if you just want to lounge the hours away in the romantic tree nest apartment and porch, she’s more than happy to give you your privacy. I can't picture a better place for a little getaway. the house layout and design was picked to perfection crafting the perfect atmosphere for a cozy countryside experience. Being the right people and you will wish you could stay there forever. Thanks!

It was great house with views didn’t get to experience outside too much coz of weather it was raining but enjoyed our stay there.Beautiful views.

We love this house! This is our second year staying here, and we hope to make it a yearly visit. It's set in a nicely wooded area with plenty of open fields that often have deer, turkey and other wildlife that make morning and evening appearances. The pond is thriving with small fish, and I felt that the toads had plenty to say about us visiting their space XD and the hot tub just adds another layer to relaxing in nature. We also love that it has an almost-off grid feel while still being able to connect (with upgraded internet from our previous stay!). We watched plenty of movies in the comfortable family room, spent a lot of time chilling at the dining table, and overall was able to relax in a comfortable, clean environment. We would recommend this place 100%!

Beautiful house that was even nicer than the pictures! Super clean and you can tell Matt takes pride in keeping this home in great shape. Definitely something for everyone, as both the adults and teenagers had a fun and relaxing time. The game room was a great bonus for the kids and we all enjoyed the perfect outdoor setting and clean hot tub. We brought our ATV and had a blast on all the trails reachable from right in the back yard! Matt was very responsive and we couldn't have asked for a better rental experience. Highly recommended and we definitely plan to be back!

Can’t say enough good things about our stay at the Drowsy Beaver Cabin! Stacy, our host, was so helpful in all of her communications and very responsive. She was so thoughtful that she even left really good gluten-free snacks after asking if any of us has food allergies. The cabin is absolutely gorgeous with really great indoor and outdoor spaces that have stunning views and a warm, comfortable feel. There were thoughtful touches throughout, such as soft throw blankets to snuggle up with in the living room, a stock of wood for the fireplace and fire pit with fire starter, a jar with cotton balls and qtips the bathroom, a stock of k-cups and creamer, maps from the two big state parks nearby, flyers from recommended stores and so much more. We walked in and felt instantly cozy and at home. It was so quiet and peaceful with beautiful views of the lake. We will absolutely be going back for more stays at the Drowsy Beaver. I had an amazing stay! The place was exactly as described—clean, cozy, and in a perfect location. The host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful, making check-in seamless and the entire stay comfortable. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great experience!

I was looking for a new place to stay at and not have to be in a motel anymore. Nancy’s rental was just what I was looking for. I enjoyed being in the area and was glad that I could get to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon in a short drive. Was glad to have all the information provided by Nancy for my stay there. The area was very nice and peaceful. Loved seeing all the different kinds of birds at the place. The kitchen and dining room area were amazing. Glad to have a coffee maker there for my morning coffee breaks. I will definitely be using this place again for my Christian friends who are also nature lovers like myself with another extra day and night. Lots to do and see if I get an extra day there. Instructions were very clear and helpful when using the place.

This place fit perfectly for us over a busy weekend attending the PIAA Championship. Great kitchen, great bedrooms, useful utilities and modern amenities. The hosts were proactive and helpful. Highly recommend!
