Horta : locations de vacances en bord de mer

Francisca’s place was wonderful. She was so helpful and responsive and let us arrive early too. The apartment had everything needed for 2 couples, including coffee, water, tea, beach towels. Air conditioning was great too. The location is perfect and walking distance to the beach and harbor and restaurants. We loved Faial and this apartment was a gem. Thank you Francisca!

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in diesem Haus sehr genossen! Wohnung ist sehr groß und einfach perfekt. Die Aussicht ist fantastisch. Direkt neben der Haustür eine sehr schöner, schwarzer Sandstrand der anderen Touristen nicht sonderlich bekannt ist. Wir haben uns willkommen gefühlt.

Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr gemütlich. Vor allem die private Terrasse und der gemeinschaftlich genutzte Garten mit den Tieren und tollen Blick auf den Pico haben uns super gefallen. Maria ist eine äußerst nette Gastgeberin. Zur Begrüßung gab es einen große. Korb mit regionalen Leckereien sowie einen Obstkorb und sogar einen selbstgebackenen Kuchen. So viel Gastfreundschaft erlebt man wirklich selten.

Der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter war angenehm einfach und freundlich. Beim Empfang wurden viele Infos und Tipps zur Insel gegeben, die wir zeitlich nicht alle nutzen konnten. Essen auf der Terrasse mit Meerblick und Blick auf São Jorge, Sonnenuntergänge auf den Lavaklippen vor dem kleinen Garten am Wasser, tagsüber die Insel erkunden, baden, viel wandern, Wale & Delphine - was will man mehr? - super schlechter Internetzugang - kein Wlan - nur echtes Leben :) Angenehm ruhig. Dringend zu empfehlen: Mietauto und Mückenschutz!

Beautiful property with conveniences of home. Ana and Luis were responsive and helpful. Large and modern home was great for our family!

Miguel was a very friendly and responsive host. He welcomed us with thoughtful touches like local snacks and wine, and quickly helped us when we had issues with heating. He brought extra heaters and stayed in touch to make sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The house has a beautiful location and Miguel's hospitality made a big difference. Thank you, Miguel!

Wir sind nun schon das 2, Mal in zwei Monaten in diesem wundervollen Haus und wir lieben es! Es ist blitzsauber, es ist schön eingerichtet, der Garten mit dem kleinen Pool ist wundervoll. Zur Begrüßung findet man frische Blumen, Mineralwasser, Kaffeepads und Azorenmilch auf dem Küchentresen. Wenn ich nun einen Wunsch äußern MÜSSTE, lieber Julio, dann wäre es eine Käsereibe : -) Ansonsten ist alles perfekt! Bis ganz bald!

Unseren Urlaub mit Oma und Opa war ein tolles Erlebnis auf der Insel Pico und in dem wundervollen Haus von James. Das Haus mit Pool war unser Favorit in der Auswahl, damit für jeden etwas dabei ist. Aussicht, Badestelle, Pool, gemütliche Rückzugsorte im Haus und davor. Es ist alles da, was man sich wünscht. Nur das Wetter kann man nicht beeinflussen und deshalb haben wir mit dem Montana de Pico noch eine Rechnung offen. Deshalb kommen wir wieder und wenn möglich, sicher zu James.

This was the best place I’ve ever stayed!! The island is already breathtaking but the location of the home, the view, and the pool made our experience on Pico even better. Ana and Benedita have been super accommodating and allowed me to change the dates during the pandemic. I finally was able to visit after two years and it was well worth the wait! If you are on the fence you need to book this stay. They also own a couple restaurants on the island, i highly recommend going to Magma for a nice meal overlooking the ocean!

Absolutely stunning house and views - loved sleeping to the sounds of the ocean, plus the pool is amazing. Loved the traditional decor / furniture too.

In der Unterkunft haben wir uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen, die Kommunikation war reibungslos und der Ausblick auf den Pico und den Atlantik einfach atemberaubend.

We loved the thoughtful food items left for us. The beds are firm and comfortable, and the heaters kept us warm at night. The couch was also cozy, perfect for hours of reading and enjoying the solitude. Be cautious with the entrance—it’s a narrow, steep, one-way street. Large cars might get scratched or not fit at all. A small car is ideal, but one with a weak engine may struggle. Once parked, the space is great. Finding the house was tricky, as the GPS didn’t recognize the address, but we discovered two routes to get there. There’s no dryer, so drying clothes on the rack can be challenging, especially in rainy seasons. Bring quick-dry and waterproof clothing. Carlos and Manuela provided a helpful restaurant guide, though many were closed during our visit. We explored local spots and loved the food—Aromas and Sabores in Lajes is a must! If you seek peace and seclusion, this cozy place is perfect. We never met another person during our stay.

We had an amazing few day's at Jorge's place. Horta is a fantastic location and the house is nestled into the hillside with fabulous views over the town and harbour. Perfectly located just a few minutes walk into town. We loved to sit eating our breakfast in the morning enjoying the wonderful view and star gazing at night after enjoying the island of Faial. Not to be missed! Hiking around the Caldeira, Capelinhos & Whale watching were all highlights for us! We would love to come back for a few more days....maybe next year :)

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt bei Fatima. Schon vor Beginn haben wir Empfehlungen für die Gegend bekommen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Unterkunft ist gemütlich und gut ausgestattet. Die Kommunikation mit Fatima war immer freundlich und einfach. Es war sogar möglich 2 Stunden später zu gehen. Vielen Dank für die schönen Tage in Horta. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir haben als 6-köpfige Familie die Zeit im Haus sehr geschätzt und genossen. Ruhige Lage mit Sicht auf Horta und grosser Garten mit vielen Obstbäumen. Grosszügig. Super Ausgangspunkt, um die Insel Faial zu erkunden. Das Haus ist mit allem notwendigen Utensilien und Geräten ausgestattet. Die jerzliche und grosszügige Art der Eltern von Nadia haben uns berührt. Sehr empfehlenswert.

My friend and I absolutely loved this place! We can’t have imagined a better home away from home during our time on the beautiful island of Faial. From the very beginning, when we had to reschedule our stay due to a change with our flights, Paula was responsive, friendly, and helpful. We we arrived in Faial, Paula met us at the apartment, showed us how to get inside, and chatted about recommendations for how to spend our time over the next couple of days. We loved everything about her apartment; it was even cuter and more spacious than the pictures implied! We enjoyed cooking a fish dinner in the kitchen, spending time on the balcony viewing Pico, and checking out her books about the Azores. The apartment was a lovely location too! We slept well with super comfortable bedding and a good temperature in the apartment. The bathroom was clean and the water pressure was great for a shower after a day of hiking! We would definitely recommend this home to others! Thank you, Paula!
