We chose this location based on its position off the highway in between stops on our trip and also because Renee allows pets. We found a lovely cottage in a quiet location with cool and functional furnishings along with a large fenced yard that our senior black labs loved. The home was clean and contained unique furniture pieces and conveniences. Comfort was available in every corner. I highly recommend this cottage for anyone staying in this area.

We stayed at Irene’s beautiful home over the long weekend and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The house comfortably hosted our group of 7, and every corner of the property was thoughtfully maintained and inviting. The games room downstairs (pool table, air hockey, table tennis and many more) was a huge hit — packed with amenities and a great place to unwind together. The location itself is incredibly scenic, with a peaceful river flowing nearby and the occasional coal train passing behind the house adding a unique touch to the atmosphere. It was the perfect mix of tranquility and character. Whether you’re heading to New River Gorge or just want a serene getaway, this place is absolutely worth every penny. Very responsive host. Property and amenities were as described. The host had many additional things in the kitchen /bathroom that made our stay more enjoyable (make up removers, Cotton balls, spices, etc.) We were able to do a bunch of laundry which was huge for a family with kids. Overall, we had a nice stay and the location was fantastic.

This home was perfect for our family’s overnight stay. We felt right at home as soon as we pulled in the driveway. The home is well laid out, well stocked with all sorts of extras that are always so handy to have staying in an Airbnb. Home was very clean, comfortable, the beds were nice!! Fenced yard was awesome for our dogs they absolutely loved it!! So did we knowing they were safe! Summersville is a cute place and I wish we had another night to spend there. Would definitely recommend and also would come back to Jessica’s!!

This air bnb is so cute and so conveniently located to New River Gorge NP! Host was very fast to respond to us and helpful. Would recommend to anyone :)

My husband and I along with our two dogs had a delightful stay at Sasquatch Retreat. Aside from the unique and charming decor, it was beautifully located for our trip to New River Gorge National Park. Having a fenced in yard and dog friendly facilities made this a perfect choice for us. The welcome guide was super helpful with suggestions for local eateries and activities. We had a great stay on our first trip to New River Gorge. We loved the serenity of the area and the hot tub. We cooked multiple meals in the well-appointed kitchen, and good restaurants and breweries were a short drive away. Kim left us some goodies which was very gracious. The bed was comfortable and the space was perfect. The location was great - a quick drive to the bridge, hiking, and Fayetteville. We would definitely stay here on our next trip to NRG.
