Ian and Donna's space is special. As soon as you enter, you get this wholesome feeling. The space is built to share, with a beautiful octagon living room and kitchen at the core of the build. There are so many amazing outdoor seating areas in adventurous nooks of the garden, which is so well looked after. I am a converted Sauna man after this trip. I loved going from the wood fire cabin to the freezing cold shower and back. The Hot Tub was a great addition too. We booked this Airbnb with the expectation that we wouldn't need to leave, and it kept up with that expectation. We played many a garden game, including Croquet and Kubb (Scandinavian game, check it out!) and Maria (private chef that was connected with us via Ian and Donna) was a superstar and cooked a 5-star meal. All in all great weekend. Just wish it were a bit closer to London!

We had a great stay! There was an issue with the plumbing and the hosts were very responsive and had it fixed the same afternoon. There was also a lot of snow during our stay and the hosts were kind enough to be flexible with our check-out time. The house was very cosy (including a Christmas tree for the duration of our stay!) and the hosts were very responsive and friendly, would certainly stay here again!

Firstly I like to thank emma for how accommodating you've been during our say. You couldn't do enough for us. and it didn't go unnoticed. we'd love to come back once the play barn has had its makeover. my only suggestion would be you get a pop up gazebo for over the hottub. With this coming at a additional cost and not been able to use it during the first night £60 seemed a little steep for the rental. But i do appreciate you don't control the weather. A pop up gazebo would have meant we could have used it both days. p.s thank you for posting back the things my kids left. buying them easter eggs and marshmallows for the fire pit. thank you

We absolutely loved our stay here and will definitely be staying again. It’s something different and so peaceful! We sat outside and lit a fire and looked out at the amazing views. Thankyou so much for our stay we can’t wait to come back!

From booking this property to checking out, everything was made easy and convenient. The host was really responsive and rapid too. He was super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. He was able to offer lots of recommendations for local food outlets and places to go. Thank you for a fab stay!

We had a great stay at the property—it was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Communication with the host was smooth throughout. After our stay, we realized we had accidentally left an item behind, and the host was kind enough to arrange to send it back to us. We covered the postage costs, but really appreciated their help. Most lovely stay! Place is absolutely fabulous, exceeding expectations, hospitality was incredible, had the warmest welcome from Alister who showed us round and made us feel at home. Will definitely be back would recommend to anyone who wants to book. Thanks again for all your hospitality!

This is our 3rd stay at the cottage and we love it. Always my first option to book this place when staying over in Holmfirth, if it’s available. Cosy, clean, comfortable, with a lovely outdoor area at the back for having a pleasant drink in the late afternoon sunshine. A lovely stay, as always.

We loved our stay at Swallows Nest. A tranquil, peaceful stay which allowed us to remove ourselves from our busy lives for a few days and enjoy the quiet. Slaithwaite has loads to offer too in terms of good restaurants & nice walks… all in such a picturesque spot too. Everything in the cottage was top standard. Clean. Comfy beds. The shower is great and the bath is huge! Our daughter very much enjoyed her relaxing baths every evening. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Rumpus is a must visit in town for the most delicious burgers using beef from the cattle at Sally’s farm. Thank you Sally for such a wonderful stay.

Colin's place was lovely, we felt right at home! Loved all the quirky collections around the house. Everything in the house was clearly thought out especially the binder! It had everything from house manuals to places to eat and explore around Thurlstone/Penistone. The location was an ideal base for nature walks/hikes as it's only a few steps from trans-penine trail. It was lovely to meet Colin on our way out too!

Another lovely stay right next to the canal. Short 45 minute walk to Skipton along the towpath. Our second stay here. Will definitely not be the last. Thanks, Mel.

Second time we have stayed at Croft Cottage and it was every bit as good as the first time. The hosts are super helpful and communicative, checking proactively that we had everything for our toddler too. It’s a fantastic property with plenty of space for a family trip, and the garden is a delight on a sunny day too. We hope to return again in the future.

Fantastic hosts around whenever you need but also very discreet. Beautifully finished and has everything you could ever think of needing. Plenty of hot water and the shower was lovely. Very warm and cosy. Very grateful for the milk, butter, bread etc to get us started. The bed is worth a special mention - I have a sore back and shoulders and it was not only huge but incredibly comfortable. We took 2 chaotic dogs with us and very grateful for the paddock to let them free run. There is a lovely guest recreation space - photos don’t do it justice. Other properties there but each one private and you would never know it. Definitely be back for a holiday to relax and a chance to enjoy the lovely garden. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thankyou!

We had a great time staying at Hywel’s place. The check in process was super quick and simple and the house was beautiful, really cosy and homely. The place was super clean and had everything we needed and more! There’s also a fab collection of games to play on an evening in the living room. I didn’t know too much about the location prior to booking, however I was really pleasantly surprised. Marsden is full of gorgeous restaurants and cafes, and we were spoilt for choice finding somewhere for breakfast on the day we left and they were all really close by. Hywel is super friendly and has been really attentive, we would definitely come back! Thank you for having us!

This was our second time at Phils, first time to celebrate my 70th second time for my husbands 75th. When I asked my family where they wanted to celebrate my husbands 75th birthday it was Phils place. Its perfect for our multi-generational family, amples of space and the pool and hot tub are the icing on the cake. We all had the best time and we made lots of memories. Thank you Phil for the use of your lovely home.

Stayed with a group of friends - was fantastic, the gaming room, the pool, the garden/bbq areas, freshly cut football pitch. Only issue was one of the wifi routers didn’t work, but we worked around it.

lovely rustic place to stay with lots of farm animals, the area and views are beautiful. great place to stay if you are wanting to unwind.

Lovely stay, cottage is hard to find at first as the address listed doesn’t take you directly to it. There is no parking for the property however parking is available on the road adjacent or in the village which is just a 2 minute walk. Some gifts were left which were a lovely touch and the beds were very comfy. The cottage felt very homely and was full of all the basics you need for cooking and cleaning etc. Overall very nice stay compared to some of my previous trips and I have recommended the cottage to family and friends.

Visited Lower Gill Farmhouse as part of my mum's 70th Birthday celebrations. 12 of us ranging in age from 5 to 75! All rooms were a great size, was excellent having 3 en-suite rooms along with a very large main bathroom and a downstairs toilet. The Kitchen was lovely, everything we needed and more - might have been nice to have tea/coffee and a little milk left for when we arrived after a long drive but luckily our tesco delivery arrived early so this wasn't too much of a problem. The living room had 3 good size sofas so we could all relax in front of the log burner. We made full use of the pool, games room, football pitch and tennis courts - a great addition especially for the kids and 4 hours allocation each day was perfect. Our dogs had a ball too - lots of places for them to run and play. Even in January we managed to spend lots of time outside and the little stream at the back of the cottaqe was wonderful. Great response from our host too, even though she was on holiday herself.

Highly recommend a 2 night stay here. There is so was much to do and it was so enjoyable - we had a group of 10 people ranging from 30 to 1 year old and we all had so much fun! From swimming all day to playing on the football pitch and tennis court - it was truly never ending fun especially for the kids. The cottage was lovely, very nice and clean and everything needed was already there. It is abit far from local shops so definitely something to keep in mind but other than that it was a great stay. Host is very helpful!

A beautiful cottage in an amazing area. we walked most days and did bot require the car all that much. we walkedto 4 local villages...visiting The Ablingdon Arms at Beckley on a few occasions. Our doggo was super happy in the cottage as were we! Cosy nights watching TV in the living room to big breakfasts around the dining table...and yhe odd midday nap. There has been alot of thought put into this place by the owners and it shows!
