We had a wonderful few nights on the edge of the beautiful Redwood forest. The house felt very homely and we loved having the cats hop up for a cuddle on the sofa at night. The kitchen was very functional for meals. Thank you for sharing your home :-)

Rebecca has a beautiful place to host our group. We really enjoyed the pool, spa and the outdoor area for the kids. The house has lots of space to offer, it felt like home. We loved stay there, especially when the weather isn’t great, we still have plenty to do around the house. Thank you for hosting us.

We had the best stay at this property. Our kids loved it and wouldnt want to leave. Most Zen place , serene mornings and beautiful house ,had everything a family would need. I dont think anything was missing, and best part is, the hosts are really kind and respond promptly . Glad we stayed another night, worth it. We will surely come back.

What a spot!! absolute beachfront, high up on the hill overlooking the beach. We booked for our wedding night, but hosts were flexible with an early check in so the bridal party could get ready. Don't book if you don't like listening to the roar of the ocean when it's windy, but if you find it soothing like us, then it's perfect! Nice stairs down to the sand, perfect for a walk, and a nice deck area. The undercover area with fire is so nice for that bad weather but wanting a cosy spot to relax. I have zero complaints, place was spotless, nicely laid out and great parking. We are local to the Pukehina area, but if we ever need to book somewhere there again, this will be first on this list! Thank you Merilyn for your amazing communication and flexibility. We really appreciate it and your cosy place.

Another beautiful stay at Nikki's retreat! It's a truly magical spot with stunning views, cosy atmosphere and ruru nesting in the tree beside the deck. We'll be back!

Nicola went above and beyond for me and my friends for my 40th birthday. The house has so much character and so much to do. The tennis court and swimming pool were an added bonus on top of everything else. The house had everything we needed. Great place for everyone to enjoy.

We absolutely loved our stay. Nathan was incredibly welcoming and allowed us to use his place for our small wedding ceremony. It was the most amazing day and we really enjoyed our entire stay. Thanks again Nathan!! We will always remember this beautiful space that we held our special day at. ☺️

The perfect base for a few days exploring the Āwhitu Penninsula. Spotlessly clean and great communication. The view is spectacular- next time I want to try the spa!

We absolutely loved staying at Vanessa’s place. We spent the last nights of our NZ trip there and were able to host my family for dinner. This is such a beautiful space and would definitely stay again next time we are in Auckland.

Peter’s AirBNB is gorgeous and well stocked. He was friendly, responsive, and on premise much of our stay (which is a private section of his home), but also great about giving us privacy. We especially enjoyed the pool and charming garden spaces - as well as the breakfast food and tea/coffee provided. A few notes that weren’t fully clear to me before arriving: >Washer is on site but generally not for guest use (though we got the OK to do a couple loads when we asked) > There is no living room or indoor common area of the Airbnb space. > There are gorgeous outdoor spaces with shade covering to enjoy for meals at home - but only bedroom/hallway space available indoors for “hang out space” > The Rotary walk area is easily accessible from this space - and the views are even better than the pictures :)

Thank you for great stay! Ali's place is cozy and peaceful, and there is much more to it than what is listed on AirBnB. Ali is a friendly and responsive host, and was very helpful in providing recommendations for local coffee shops and cafes when I asked about it. Furthermore, Ali was very generous in allowing early check-in and late check-out based on what I needed. There are beautiful beaches nearby to visit, with some cafes and restaurants overlooking the ocean. Definitely consider booking Ali's place when you are looking for peaceful stay in East Auckland.

Our stay at Tui & Nikau was beautiful. The place is so serene, private, and peaceful, and the accommodation had everything we needed and more. The hosts were super helpful and made the whole experience seamless. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay! Great area to explore and very nice to have a spacious place to come back to. Plenty of good amenities like laundry and espresso machine (2 most important things for us!). Very walkable to beach, local restaurants, hikes, other touristy stuff. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved staying at Wayne and Jihee's place! The 30-minute drive from the city was a breeze, and the serene surroundings were the perfect retreat. Wayne went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, from meeting us in person to keeping in touch via text to ensure everything was smooth sailing. His responsiveness was impressive! He even accommodated our dietary preferences for breakfast, whipping up something light and delicious just for us. The bed was ridiculously comfy, and the cleanliness of the house was top-notch. Beautiful property with idyllic surrounds. We stayed while participating in a running event and found it the perfect place to unwind after a hard morning! Very secluded and peaceful with all needed amenities + some added comforts. Would highly recommend and hope we can visit again!

Utterly beautiful stay at Corrie’s place. The space is stunning and really thoughtfully put together. Outdoor bath is the icing on the cake! Couldn’t recommend it enough - you won’t be disappointed!

Loved our stay at Corrine’s super cosy, beautifully appointed cottage in the cow paddock. All the extra little touches were lovely - such as marshmallows for the hot chocolate and candles for the outdoor baths. Corrine was lovely and very helpful. Can totally recommend her lovely property.

Thank you Linda for a beautiful stay, the space was perfect! Linda was friendly, helpful & a great host, allowing us to arrive early on short notice & kindly offering a few extra hours on our last day. We enjoyed the stay very much w the serene private backyard & outdoor bath. Great access to the township & local pub just a stroll out the backgate! Highly recommend!

Absolutely breathtaking views sound this gorgeous cabin! It was cozy & comfortable. A highlight was taking the free kayaks for a paddle for more beautiful scenery on the water. Plus a bonus to be greeted by friendly goats on our way through the paddock down to the river. We found the shower tricky to maintain at a comfortable temperature, but that’s not uncommon when living off the grid. We’d absolutely recommend for a special experience!

The most peaceful beautiful stay for our anniversary. What made it even special was it being dog friendly!! Our pup just LOVED swimming in the creek and hiking to the waterfall (swimming there too haha). We all had the best time and are already planning our return. Perfect for 40th getaway surprise. The place smelled woody (in a great way), and the bed was so good. Fire pit was ready to go for us and I was glad I packed marshmallow supplies for toasting. I think I'll be back for a solo retreat in the future!
