We had the most amazing time at Will’s home. It’s exactly as described. The home is so cozy and has everything you could ever need. We cooked in and went to a few of his recommended restaurants. Will was extremely responsive from booking to departure. We hope to stay again. Perfect location and the hot tub and deck are fabulous!

Where do we even begin? From the moment we arrived, it felt like staying with long-lost relatives who actually like you. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and stocked with thoughtful touches that screamed, ‘We’re overachievers, but in a good way.’ The hosts went above and beyond in ways that felt almost suspicious. We opened the fridge to find bubbly waiting for us (are we royalty now?), and there were chocolates on the counter like they somehow knew our love language. As if that wasn’t enough, we spent an unforgettable evening soaking in the hot tub while it snowed, overlooking the most serene lake view we’ve ever seen. It was like being in a Hallmark movie but without the small-town drama. Every detail was so thoughtful, from the cozy blankets to the recommendations that made us feel like locals. This wasn’t just a stay; it was an experience we’ll be talking about for years. If you’re considering booking, do it. Just don’t book the weekend we want to come back, okay?

It was a great little getaway place for my husband and I. It was smaller than expected, but still worked out perfectly for the 2 of us. The hot tub was great! Kitchen is well stocked, and the place was very clean!

Our family of 5 had a great stay at Gary’s place. The lake, the pontoon, paddle boards and pedal boat were used daily. It is private and quiet. There are plenty of life vests and even some large inner tubes you can take out on the water. The floating dock and lily pad were covered in goose poop while we were there so we didn’t use them. The house was comfortable and had more amenities than most air BNBs we’ve stayed at. Our favorite spot (besides being on the water) was drinking coffee and reading on the covered porch! Would recommend to families!!

Our stay at this Airbnb was nothing short of incredible. The hosts went above and beyond to support our family during one of the most exciting and emotional times in our lives—the arrival of our child through adoption. With so many unknowns in our journey, they moved mountains to accommodate us, ensuring we had a beautiful, comfortable, and relaxing place to stay, even with our shifting timelines and unique requests. The home itself is absolutely stunning—everything is brand new, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and the hot tub was such a treat. From the thoughtful design to the cozy atmosphere, every detail made our stay feel effortless and peaceful. We are already dreaming of returning in the summer to soak in the lake vibes and energy of Nettle Lake. We are beyond grateful for this experience and for the kindness and generosity of our hosts. If you're looking for a five-star stay with truly exceptional hospitality, this is the place! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We loved our weekend on long lake. We had a nice relaxing time hanging out, fishing, enjoying a fire in the evening, etc. Also very much appreciated how stocked the house was with small things we needed, but wouldnt think to bring, like ziplock bags or just common kitchen tools. Overall, a great spot to chill on the lake and Laura and Steve are great hosts who respond quickly if there are any issues.

This place is a gem! It was perfect for our group of 6 adults and 2 kids. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of towels, toilet paper and other essentials. The hot tub, kayaks/paddle boards, and fire pit were great amenities. The hosts were communicative and even let us check in early! We hope to come back soon!

This lakeside cabin is absolutely beautiful! The scenery is stunning and peaceful — a perfect getaway. The host decorated the cabin with great care and taste; it’s cozy, stylish, and filled with fun board games that made our stay even more enjoyable. The host was incredibly warm and attentive. I accidentally left my credit card in the room after checking out, and the host immediately notified me, kept it safe, and even stayed at the cabin waiting for me to come back and pick it up. I was truly touched by this kindness and sense of responsibility. Overall, it was an amazing stay — this cabin is so lovely, I’d definitely love to come back again!

Great little place near the lake! Very clean and I loved the modern decor; there is a lot of attention to detail. Great kitchen and we appreciated the Keurig coffee and complimentary bottle of wine. Beds were comfortable, linens were fresh!

This was such a nice weekend with our family. The cottage was stocked with everything you need! The lake is super quiet and pretty private! The place was clean and remodeled in the inside. Our first time booking an AIRBNB so we were nervous but we are so glad we did!

This is one of the most well-appointed Airbnbs I have every stayed in, especially for someone who loves to cook! It was also very family friendly, as we had a one year old in tow. It is right on the lake and the view is so peaceful and blue. We came in cold weather so did not experience the water or the busy season, but it was perfect all the same. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was very clean. Everything - furniture, appliances, etc. - were spotless and in good working order. There were spots to store things, so even though there were six of us (including a baby!) it never felt cluttered or messy. Lots of games provided and the attached all season porch was nice for reading or winding down at the end of the day. 11/10 stars!!!

Terri’s home is beautiful and clean. Bed is comfy and the extra throw blankets are a plus. Kitchen is well stocked.

We had such a phenomenal time at the cottage. The family that owns the place is incredibly kind and welcoming. Truly made us feel at home and it’s an incredible location for a small get away. We’re very appreciative of the hospitality and opening their home

Beautiful lake view, immaculate living conditions, cozy beds and indoor seating layout, as well as a perfect fire pit setup made for a wonderful spot for my mom, sister and I to celebrate a milestone birthday. We appreciated the view while we sipped coffee in the morning and Aaron responded immediately when we needed a password to access the television on our last night. An easy 10 minute drive to the quaint village area for shopping and dining, I would definitely recommend this beautiful cottage to others looking to spend time on the lake.

We had a fantastic stay! The home was thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed to feel right at home. The space was clean, cozy, and perfect for our weekend stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

This is a great place. The house was clean and accurately portrayed but what really set it apart were the amenities. Sam thought of everything we would need and had it. Plenty of towels, blankets, kitchen items, condiments, cooking utensils and so much more. The best part were all the lake items. We had kayaks and a boat, two floating mats and plenty of life vests and toys for the kids. He had torches for the bugs, everything was clearly marked. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. We spent lots of time in the water and it was right in our backyard. Sam had aluminum foil, off spray, shampoo, and even a basket in the bathroom with toothpaste, eye drops, make up wipes, etc. in the kitchen we had popcorn bags, granola bars, and plenty serving dishes. Everything was there. And also the check out instructions were manageable. Nothing outlandish. Loved that place!! Thank you!

This place is the ultimate get away from everything location! It is remote and quiet. The perfect place to go and just read a book or even take some of your crafts to work on. It is beautiful and quiet. I also love that we were able to bring our dog. My husband and I just went through a catastrophic event and we needed to get away for a few days. This is exactly what we needed. This place felt familiar and like home from the moment we arrived. We will be staying again in the future.

Beautiful sunsets in the evenings! The house was perfect! No issues at all! Phillip was great at communicating! The neighbors were so friendly!!

This listing surpassed my expectations. I knew that I was headed to small town Indiana, but this place made it seem as if we were at a special getaway. There were so many extra amenities like canoes and kayaks and high chairs for kids. As someone traveling with a toddler, their attention to kid-friendly details was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend staying here!

Wonderful place to stay at for the weekend! We had gloomy weather, so we weren’t able to enjoy getting outdoors, but it was so peaceful so we just curled up with a good book! Make sure you check out nearby Dygert Nature Preserve! There was a break in the rain and we made good use of it by stretching our legs on this short hike!
