We loved this place! Its peaceful with good local walks, a pub just down the road. Tea and coffee and a loaf of bread were provided which was very welome. We'd brought our 2 dogs along, and Soraya had thoughfully left some dog treats out too. Just outside there was a hot tub, which was a real bonus, and a great way to relax after a day out walking.

This property is fantastic, home from home, everything you need and more. Lovely kitchen dining area, and a great outside space with a large hot tub! Hayley’s instructions were very clear with regards to check in and she is very responsive! Great host! Would definitely book again ☺️

We had an amazing, peaceful couple of days and just what we wanted. The place was spotless and beautiful with lovely views. Did the Ingleton Falls walk and to come back to the hot tub was an added bonus to our relaxing time. Would highly recommend!

We had a really nice stay. The cottage was lovely and well kept with great shower facilities and little touches including a welcome pack of local produce. Sharon came to clean the hot tub each morning with the filter being changed between guests, bbq area (with large disposable BBQ to use, birds singing in a sheltered garden. Bathroom and hot tub towels provided, washing machine and tumble dryer easy to use. The beds were comfy and blackout blinds in all rooms. Beautiful surroundings; able to walk 30 minutes to an ice cream farm with play area or drive 5 minutes to Lowther castle

We had an absolutely lovely time staying at High Swinside. Diana was an amazing host and went out of her way to make us all feel comfortable. I would highly recommend any of her cottages.

We absolutely loved our stay at Kathryn's place. The place is exactly how you imagine it would be by looking at the description and the photos. We will definitely be going back again. Kathryn was very responsive and so helpful with whatever queries we had.

The location is breath taking, Sam description of this wonder is under promises and over delivered. The house is beautiful and had everything we could need. The views I will miss until I visit again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ he’s selling the dream and an underrated price.

We have just spent a couple of wonderful days walking up penyghent. Moira's cottage was wonderful. Really clean and cosy and stocked with everything we needed. The walk up to pen-y-ghent starts literally right outside the doorstep which is very handy and a comfortable bed is exactly what we needed after the long walk. Thank you Mouira for your hospitality.

My husband and I stayed at Tethera for the long Easter weekend and we loved the cottage. It had everything we needed. Emma really has thought of everything and more. From a binder full of helpful information, well stocked kitchen with some welcome goodies, cozy living room, perfectly fluffy linen to towels for our dog, Yoda. The shower has great water pressure too! We live in London and really liked how peaceful and private it was. Yoda loved all the new scents and the animals around too! We locked ourselves out one day and Emma responded within minutes. We loved the fresh eggs her hens lay and got some back home as well. I would recommend the place to everyone. It’s spotless, extremely comfortable and perfectly placed for all the nice hikes and pretty towns of Lake District to be easily accessible. Perfect cottage with an equally perfect host.

lovely surroundings with sheep in field at back. found a delightful loop walk following small Brook into woods. Really appreciate the wood burner in lounge that made the whole place very cosy. would recommend.

This is a lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. John was very accommodating regarding our late arrival and the cottage was easy to find and exactly as described. The cottage is very characterful and comfortable, with everything you could possibly need. The garden is beautiful and very private. Thank you John, we’ve had a wonderful stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was as described, the hosts Mark and Lyn were very friendly, sent accurate check in details and location details. They left us milk coffee tea etc which was a lovely gesture. Peaceful place and clean :-) would definitely return!

A perfect family cottage and photos don't do it justice, it was really really nice!! Perfect location with fantastic views it doesn't feel like you're 15 minutes away from the madness of Blackpool. We'll return in the future 100%.

A wonderful cottage in a fabulous location. Fizz, fresh bread and homemade jam to greet us. Lovely warm and surprisingly large cottage with a gorgeous view of the ford. Great walks straight from the door with wildlife aplenty (sadly no red squirrels but our host did point us to a hotel where we managed to see them). All in all, a cracking place to stay.

Such a lovely base for a few days of walking. The cottage is really well equipped - enough kitchen stuff to actually do some cooking! - and very comfortable. Communication was great beforehand. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer stay, and hope to be back before too long.

Highly recommend Fell Cottage. We have had a wonderful stay in this gorgeous house with our kids and dog. We enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and benefitted from Lyn’s recommendations. Lyn was quick to respond to questions and really kind. Thank you very much, we would love to book again

Catherine is an excellent host, great communication and keen that everything is ok, quick response to queries raised. lovely welcome touch, of milk, cereal, bread, pastries, fruit juice jam, butter and apples and a supply of tea and coffee. Lovely compact cottage with a good kitchen, with a dishwasher and microwave. peaceful and quiet, away from everything but only a short drive in to Kendal

We had the most enjoyable experience staying at Sara’s beautiful & cosy cottage. It was in the perfect location with easy walking distance into Town and only a short drive to Windermere & Ambleside. Peaceful cottage in a central location. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided by the host and Sara was available to answer our questions promptly. We would definitely stay again. Thank you for a lovely stay and for the biscuits and mint chocs too. My daughter loved it too x

The cottage exceeded our expectations. It was a home from home, peaceful with high-end fixtures and fittings. A lovely and quiet countryside setting but within easy reach of the Lancashire coastline and other hidden gems (Glasson Dock). Definitely recommended and we would be happy to return.

We love staying at April’s cottage, its truly a home from home. Location is perfect for a visit to the lakes with everything on your doorstep from great walks to cafes, restaurants, pubs and supermarkets. To top it off you have a fantastic sunny terrace to relax in after a day of exploring! Thanks again

Deb and Tim were great hosts who gave us and our dog a warm welcome. The cosy cottage was as described with a luxurious bedroom suite and downstairs plenty of room for the dog crate. Delightful walks in all directions to local pubs. Lovely countryside to explore: the Ribble Valley, Pendle Hill and the Forest of Bowland. Recommended!

Mark and Ruth were lovely hosts and responsive. The cottage was perfect - cosy, peaceful, and beautiful with the private access to lake making it a true gem. We’ll definitely be back!

Peaceful rural location with lots of walks both from the doorstep and more within 5-10 minute drive away. Would definitely stay again
