Cozy peaceful place with a horse farm next to the house. It is perfectly fit with my family group of 8 adults plus 1 child. The house is clean and tidy. The kitchen is fully equipped with all we need for cookings. The host is helpful and super friendly with prompt responses to our questions. He even comes visiting in-person to help us on BBQ set up. We had a great stay!

Die Unterkunft ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt um verschiedene Orte des Golden Circles zu besuchen. Bei Schlechtwetter lässt es sich ebenfalls prima im gemütlichen Haus verweilen. Die Waschmaschine war für uns ein grosses Plus.

Excellently located for short drive to most key attractions within the golden circle. Very quiet and away from the main towns so perfect for seeing the northern lights. Spacious modern house with everything we need. Dóróthea and Baldur were perfect hosts and very responsive. We must come back here!

Had a fantastic stay at Gunnar's cottage. Everything we needed was at hand in the cottage. It was warm and cozy and and perfect for relaxing in the evening. We used the hot tub a couple of times and it was great. Managed to see the northern lights during our stay and it's a perfect location for seeing them and travelling around the Golden circle. Would definitely stay again.

lieu de séjour atypique mais très sympa 2 cabanes dont une est idéale pour les grands enfants jacuzzi facile d'utilisation la vue est superbe (sauf la lumière des serres de tomates) lieu calme et un vrai Airbnb qui sert à son propriétaire (rare)

Really beautiful cabin in a perfect location. Good point to travel around the south from. Clean, very spacious and well laid out. Much bigger than I expected. Really good quality furniture and fittings. Lovely and warm at the end of a busy day exploring. Managed to watch a brilliant show of the northern lights from the decking. Would highly recommend.

Everything was great when we came, beautiful summerhouse with loads to do both outside and inside. If we had any questions we called and asked and it was no problem for them to answer me straight away. Very nice and helpful people that own the place and we will come again😊

What a great place and really nice hosts. Too bad we were only staying one night. Would have loved to try the sauna and hot tub. Also a lot of interesting books, records and tourist info. Would absolutely come back!

Stunning view. A classic A-frame cabin. Soooo quiet and peaceful. Peaceful. Easy to walk to the restaurant and if you choose, walk to the little communities nearby, including farms and the local church. It's a cabin in the golden circle. Don't be a jerk. Appreciate. We are all lucky to experience this. And if you ask a question, Jake ANSWERS you almost immediately. But really... the porch overlooking the valley... and the AMAZING outdoor shower with hot water from the local geothermal station. SHUT UP if you don't appreciate how special this is. Therapeutic. Ahhhhhhhh. We stayed up late and saw the northern lights. Doesn't get better for peace and authentic. Thanks Jake!!!! 😁

Our stay was perfect. The cabin was great and exactly as shown in the pictures. The place was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with appliances for a small kitchen. Eggert was quick to respond and check-in was easy and smooth. Great overall experience and would definitely recommend this place.

Een heerlijke week overnacht in het huisje en getourt door de Golden Circle. 3x het noorderlicht gezien door weinig lichtvervuiling in de buurt! Fijn dat er vloerverwarming aanwezig was om het huisje op temperatuur te houden.

Stefan was great host, helped us as much as he could with recommendations and provided clear instructions on how to reach out his place and use it best way as possible-we truly appreciate and recommend!

One of our memorable accommodation is this one with its very lovely cabin inside and out. It’s so cozy we dont want to leave! Everything we need is right there and it’s spotless. We learned of the story of the cabin and it became a more special stay. Thank you for allowing us to arrive early and all the suggestions we can do around the area. It was easy communicating with you and we had a fantastic stay!

Very peaceful and homely cabin in beautiful surroundings. Svanna is very helpful and the cabin is well kept and cosy. Rural location - we were lucky enough to catch the northern lights 4 nights in a row! Would happily stay again, thank you ☺️

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. La maison est très fonctionnelle et très bien équipée. Le jacuzzi est très appréciable. L’environnement est magnifique et la maison tellement cocoon ! On s’y sent très bien, un vrai havre de paix pour les vacances. En plus de cela, elle est très bien située pour le secteur du cercle d’or. Bien sûr, il vous faudra compter 2h de route pour rejoindre le sud de l’île jusque Vik par exemple. Nous recommandons ++ Merci à notre hôte Thorsteinn qui est très réactif et serviable.

Private. We saw an awesome display of Northern Lights while soaking in the beautiful hot tub. It was magical.

Stunning location, so peaceful, had everything you needed, very responsive host. Great location for the National Park and snorkelling at Silfra, just 20 minutes drive. Stunning sunset our first night and incredibly comfortable bed. Highly recommend the cottage and host

Superbe logement, avec une panorama superbe sur un lac et les montagnes enneigées. L'endroit n'est pas facile à trouver (nous avons du nous faire aider par des locaux à notre arrivée) mais une fois sur place, l'endroit est idyllique. La maison est propre et bien équipée, conforme à l'annonce. L'hôte est toujours très réactive par message pour répondre à nos questions. En bref, c'est l'endroit idéal pour passer un séjour reposant en Islande, tout en restant à proximité de la capitale et des lieux touristiques majeurs du cercle d'or.

Wir waren 10 Tage in dem schönen Ferienhaus und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist sehr gut ausgestattet und ein besonderes Highlight ist der Hotpod und der Coldpod und die Außendusche:-)

Our stay here was perfect! The cabins are in a remote location which makes it extremely peaceful and we saw the northern lights on four of our seven day trip. The kitchen had everything we needed but there wasn’t a kettle but we got by with the boiling water in a pot. The water in Iceland has sulphur in it which makes it smell of egg and it was very strong at the cabin. It was fine to wash in and use day to day but would suggest getting bottled water for drinking. The hot tub was amazing the only thing to know is that it’s not like hot tubs in the uk so it doesn’t keep the water warm so you need to empty it and refill it to get it really warm. La cabane de Guðný est charmante et parfaitement conforme à la description. Elle est équipée de tout le nécessaire. Le ménage était impeccable, le lit très confortable, et la cuisine ainsi que la salle de bain étaient parfaitement fonctionnelles. De plus, la communication s'est très bien passée. Je recommande vivement et je n'hésiterai pas à revenir.

Gorgeous, warm and welcoming home. Loved taking my shoes off to the underfloor heating and coming in on a cold day. The views were amazing especially from the hot tub and from inside some beautiful sun rises (luckily at this time of year 8.00 +) Well equipped kitchen and bathroom with plenty of natural light. Great location for travelling. Especially close to Kerid crater, gullfoss and the geysir and secret Lagoon. Definitely suit a family of younger children with the swings, trampoline and space to run about (mines are too cool to do that now)

Kristin's second was the perfect jumping off point to explore the Golden Circle, the interior, and the south coast of Iceland. The house was extremely clean, perfectly appointed, and in a beautiful location, perched on an easily accessible hillside, looking over the entire valley, with views including Hella volcano. Kristin was very responsive, friendly, and very understanding of an unusual check in time. Don't miss this gem in Laugaras!
