The Green Emerald, and host, Kristopher, is amazing! The home is beautifully decorated and so clean! We immediately felt at home as we entered. Our doggies loved the large backyard and so did we. It was such a pleasure to sit and view the morning sun, or the night sky, on the upstairs balcony. We fell in love with this home and enjoyed our stay! We plan to return and make many more happy memories.

For a house that can accommodate a multi-generational family, this was excellent. Walking around the property was adequate for a winter day, but in other seasons, when you want a longer walk, the highway would not have been safe. We had to get in the car to walk on the C&O Canal, just 15 minutes away in Brunswick. A lovely, flat walking or biking space. There was a highchair for the baby, and little to no decor for young children to break. Thank you! The host negotiated an issue with no electrical power in three bedrooms the first night. A repair person came promptly the next morning to flip a breaker. All was well from that point on. Being a musical family, the piano was a real bonus! We will definitely return when we can.

My sister and I had a nostalgic weekend in Frederick remembering my mom on her birthday. Shannon’s place was perfect. And in walking distance of all the places we wanted to visit. Cute place, very comfortable, kitchen was clean and stocked. The only thing I missed was not having an ice maker. Would definitely stay there again!

We came from Nova Scotia and New Brunswick Canada to visit our daughter and 1 year old granddaughter. My 86 year old dad and stepmom came too. It was so important for us all to be together in a homey, peaceful setting and where my father could see his great grand daughter for the first time. It was the perfect family getaway. The trip meant the world to us. We made memories for a life time. God willing, we will be back.

The best Airbnb we have stayed at in Frederick. Absolutely beautiful location and very private. The house was impeccable. A very inviting space as well. The decor made us feel comfortable and welcomed. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

I celebrated my “birthday bach” in April 2025 at the Fox House at Fox Haven Organic Farm with 11 friends - we had an amazingly peaceful experience! The home is easy to find, has plenty of parking (we had 6 cars), private and yet also walking distance from the farm and trails, and driving distance from restaurants, Costco, and wineries. The house is so spacious with a full kitchen, multiple living rooms, a dinning table, beautiful deck, an outdoor sauna, three full bathrooms, and 5 bedrooms! This is a home on farm and within nature/woods so while the house is very clean, there are bugs around. Nothing bothered us and the hosts had sprays and such readily available in the house.

Melissa was friendly and quick to respond with any questions. I bought a plain Jane coffee pot to use there just to have a bigger pot. One morning I slept in a bit so I rushed out and realized after getting on the train I had forgotten to turn off the pot and didn't know for certain if it had auto shutoff. I nervously texted Melissa around 5am to let her know and ask if she would take care of it. She didn't bat an eye about it and texted me back as soon as she saw the message. A well earned title of super host!

Our hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating - we felt like family. The space was very clean and comfortable. The bed was super comfortable! Roberta and Rich were very thoughtful and greeted us in person, left us snacks, coffee creamer, fresh fruit - we were impressed with their generosity. Gave us pointers on good places to eat and things going on in the area over the weekend. We had great time, would definitely love to visit again!

Heather and Brian’s home was amazing. The check-in process was very easy and simple and the place was very clean and organized. The neighbors were very nice as well and welcomed us into the building. My favorite part was the large balcony that overlooked the town. Would highly recommend this stay!

John’s place was perfect for our overnight trip to spend time with friends s short distance away in Purcellville. It was clean, comfortable and in a beautiful quiet country setting. Thanks for a great stay!

Vlasta and Doug are amazing hosts, they were very attentive to us. I can't describe enough the wonderful experience I had at this place. It is quiet, cozy, and it truly feels like home. P.S. If you love animals there is a big plus, their pets are adorable.

We have stayed with Cheryl before. She has always provided a great place to stay. She provides OJ, milk, eggs and other things in the refrigerator. Plus a baked goody in there as well! We look forward to going back.

The space was as described but the nature surrounding the home made in so much more wonderful. The apartment was clean, nicely laid out, and comfortable. Information about the rental, check in and check out were clearly posted inside. And Ted and Cindy were responsive when messaging. I wish I was there for more than a night.

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin. The owner was very responsive and helpful. As noted in other reviews, the ceiling in the kitchen is low and several doorways are shorter than modern doorways. We found the kitchen had the items we needed to bake and cook our meals. The cabin is located close to Harper’s Ferry and other historic and outdoor activities. Great areas for sitting outdoors and enjoying the beautiful scenery.

The place was really nice even better then the pics. I would def come back again. The horses were a plus. The bathtub floor could use a lil deep cleaning. But other then that everything was great. The jacuzzi was relaxing and the surroundings were peaceful.

Wonderful and cozy stay in stunning setting - great if you want to go camping with a bit more comfort. The train was quite loud so good to be aware of that, but we had anticipated it so it didn’t take away from the overall experience. Hope to come back next year!

The cabin was absolutely gorgeous and so homey! The couch and bed were both very comfortable (which isn’t always the case with Airbnbs), so we were actually able to relax, unwind, and sleep well! The fully fenced-in backyard and incredible outdoor fireplace made for a memorable evening of sipping wine while watching the fire and listening to the birds. Donnie was a wonderful host and was very responsive and proactive. We are so grateful for our weekend at this cabin and highly recommend it for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle.

This was a second property by Heather that I stayed at, and again she didn't disappoint. She has an impeccable taste for decorating. I can't wait to check out more Airbnbs she owns. thank you so much Heather! :-)

Joe and Lori were absolutely great hosts, very helpful with check-in, local recommendations, and things to do on and off the property. The cabin is exactly like it looks in the photos, cozy and comfortable, with a great screen porch, very comfortable beds, and a really well-equipped kitchen. The property has gorgeous gardens and flowers, a pond, a trout stream playgrounds for the kids, and walking trails, and the surrounding area is stream valleys with farms and woodlands. We loved our stay and really appreciate the hospitality and kindness of our hosts. 10/10 highly recommended!

Reagan's place was so charming and perfect for our getaway! Everything was exactly as described. I appreciated the secluded and cozy nature of the cabin, but also the proximity to restaurants, stores and hiking trails. I highly recommend this cabin, and hope to return on a future getaway.

A lovely cabin tucked away and peaceful, but very convenient to Frederick. Jim was a great host, responding to every question quickly and setting up the cabin for our arrival. We had everything we needed and were even greeted by a family of deer as we pulled in. I highly recommend adding this to your list for a getaway!
