The house was beautiful, well designed, and had a well appointed kitchen. It was a pleasure to stay there, and if it had been available we would have booked another night there.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Stunning views and a great space for our family. It was well kitted out, very comfortable and the views were breathtaking! We even saw the Northern Lights! Thank you for a fabulous stay!

We stayed in 4 people one night in April 2025 in Apartment B. The Apartment is in the same building with apartment A, but completely separated from the other one except for a shared corridor at the entrance. There were other guests in other apartment, but the experience was really good (ie no noise heard from the other apartment). Our apartment had all we needed for our short stay. We really enjoyed the view on the fjord from the large windows of the house. Karl provided really clear instructions to reach the house and for check-in and responded quickly to our messages.

A computer glitch deleted our original pre-paid booking at a place which we reserved 5 months prior in Blönduós, and we were scrambling to find lodging. Fortunately, Gunnar was able to accommodate us last-minute at his recently renovated historical home in Sauðárkrókur. The kitchen has modern appliances and the twin mattresses were high quality and comfortable. The house is located walking distance from local restaurants and I enjoyed looking at the fjord from the windows.

You will feel like in your family home. The host is very helpfull and welcoming. 👍

Nice room and very confortable bed!

We had a fantastic time in the cabin, beautiful views, a fabulous Hot Tub. Loads of space to unwind & a great kitchen, we cooked every evening. Comfy bed, great hot shower & total peace and quiet. Used the Hot Tub every night, Stefan shows you how to fill it. Takes about 2 hours. We saw the Northern lights twice around 1030pm - Midnight. Great base to explore, Akureyri is about 90mins away through an awesome mountain pass. Check the road app for road conditions, we had all 4 seasons on the mountain pass!! Would definitely recommend a stay at this cabin. 3 welcoming dogs, Osk plus 2 others visiting & a very friendly cat, Sigga, who can open the door to get in. 😀

This little house was very spacious and very well equipped. It had everything one might need for comfortable living, including all the kitchen supplies needed to cook a big meal, and toys to keep children entertained. It really felt like a home.

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und ordentlich. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Alles in allem eine sehr schöne Unterkunft in guter ruhiger Lage.

Nos trois jours sont passés très vite.... Nous avions un pêcheur avec nous et jenny a été très sympa....pour lui montrer le spot...et lui a amené du matériel de peche.... Tout était super.....nous serions bien restés plus longtemps

Die Unterkunft war wirklich toll und wie beschrieben. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war immer zügig und freundlich. Der Hot Tub war das Zentrum der Gruppe und richtig toll nach den teils windig und kalten Skitouren. Das Haus ist wundervoll eingerichtet und die Küche gibt alles her. Viele Gewürze und Basics sind auch vorhanden. Auch die Polarlichter kamen direkt zum Haus. Als Ausgangspunkt für Skitouren oder auch zum erkunden von Nord Island wirklich super. Gerne wieder!
