Blu Lake House was a wonderful and spacious setting for our family gathering this Christmas. The views from the living room and back bedrooms over the snowy, frozen lake were magical! The kitchen was very well appointed (one of the best we have encountered!) - we easily had everything we needed to make a Christmas dinner, and more, including large pots, pans and baking trays. The house was very clean, comfortable and homely. Nadia, Gina and Joanne helped us out with a few things over the holiday period, including a replacement kettle, which we really appreciated.

Magnifique endroit! Hôte très sympathique et très réactive. Décor sublime, maison magnifique! Paysage juste incroyable avec l’eau cristalline juste wow ! L’eau potable était salée et imbuvable pour nous, ce qui est possible avec un puit. Nous avons acheté de l’eau en bouteille et c’était parfait! Laurie est d’une gentillesse et d’une réactivité hors pair ! Je recommande cet endroit !

Lily was a great host, she was very responsive and friendly throughout our entire stay. Accommodations were clean and accurately depicted! Smooth check-in and check-out.

Absolutely beautiful home and is the perfect spot in town close to restaurants and the waterfront. Will definitely be coming back in the summer. The heated bathroom floors are a bonus too!

Amazing place to stay and a great location

This place was wonderful for a large group. We were surprised by the great kitchen appliances that made it easy to prep food, especially the sharp knifes, large cutting board, big counter space, and multiple sinks. Outdoors was a great area to spend time and play on the grass. Enough grass to run around and plan for activities. The bedding was great and all washrooms were very clean. We appreciated the house slippers as well ;) Would come back again!

The place is exactly how it was advertised. Everything in the property was well thought of in terms of what people might need in their stay. Kitchen was well equipped that I was able to cook without issues. The host provided info about the location and places to see which is very thoughtful. Carol’s place was exactly as described—serene, simple, and beautifully designed. It had everything we needed for a comfortable, relaxing getaway. The photos don’t do it justice! The space was clean, with fresh linens and thoughtful touches throughout. It was easy to find, tucked in a quiet spot close to walking trails and a short drive to Midland. My boyfriend and I loved taking an evening stroll and catching a stunning sunset by the water. Carol was great with communication—very responsive before check-in and after we left. We didn’t need to reach out during our stay since everything ran smoothly. The Wi-Fi worked great, we enjoyed Netflix, played games, and really settled in. The couch and bed were comfy, though we spent most of our time outside! We especially loved the bird-watching window, the backyard firepit, and the cozy, peaceful feel of the whole place. If you’re looking for a quiet escape from the city, Carol’s place is totally worth it! We hope to stay here again!

We just returned from a weekend stay at this beautiful cottage and it was exactly what we were looking for. Peaceful and picturesque, right on the water with all the amenities we needed. Ildiko was quick to respond if we had any questions and was accommodating where we had some requests regarding check out. An absolute gem of a place, amazing views and spectacular sunrises. Would definitely recommend staying here. We would love to be back in the warmer months to experience the additional facilities such as kayaking. Great little spot to get away for the weekend at an economical price. Was duck season so lots of gun action in the morning which was a bit annoying but nobody’s fault. Close to the beach and nice walking trail nearby. We had a great visit.

Beautiful cozy cottage. Spectacular front window view of the water, full kitchen and the wood burning stove were my favorite features. Easy check in, etc..

What a great location for a cottage! The included boats (canoes & kayaks) are really nice. We went in late October (end of the season) and the neighborhood was nearly deserted. We were often the only people out on the lake. It takes about 20-25 minutes to paddle over to one of the several waterfront restaurants in Port Severn. Trevor's communications were very precise and easy to follow. Only negative comment concerns the well water. It's not just high in minerals, it is so high in minerals that it smells terrible and you really don't want to shower in it.

We enjoyed our stay. More beautiful than the pictures. Caroline was very responsive. She offered us early check-in and accepted to check out at 11am instead of 10am. can't wait to go back in summer.

We had a wonderful stay! The place was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully stocked with everything one might need—from small essentials to those little touches that really make a difference. You can tell a lot of care went into making the space comfortable and convenient. Whether it was the extra toiletries, kitchen basics, or even just how organized everything was, every detail was well thought out. Moreover they were very responsive over messages throughout our stay. Also its right by the water and so peaceful.
