Nilay and Sencer's appartment is very nice, clean and having a local spirit. We were welcomed warmly by Sencer. The tram and bus stops are very close: less than 5 minutes away and you would need 10-15 minutes to reach Galata. If you arrive in Istanbul by car - there's a paid parking nearby that can be used for 15 EUR/24h. We also enjoyed a lot our visit to Sencer's Pizzarotti restaurant, where we had the pleasure to taste his local pizza inventions and have a conversation.

We loved our stay at this apartment. Balat was a perfect neighborhood to make as base during our stay in Istanbul. Tons of great restaurants in the area and it was easy to access other parts of the city via bus and tram. Pops Balat and Balat Kahvaltı Evi are two great spots for breakfast and coffee just a short block from the apartment. The apartment was cozy and beautiful and exactly as described and shown in photos (I particularly liked the historical character of the place). Another review noted that kids play outside fairly late, which I noticed as well. Not an issue for me, even as a light-ish sleeper!

The location couldn’t be better for exploring Balat! You step out of the building right into the middle of the best street. There’s a coffee shop right below the apartment which opens at 07:00, and the rest of the street comes to life at around 09:30-10:30. Boutiques, mini market, cafes, restaurants, rooftop tea spots, mocktail bars, bbq spots - all just steps away. It is noisy at night with music, people, cats and scooters - so pack earplugs or get some from the pharmacy down the road. The apartment is better in real life than in photos! It’s clean, spacious and the host was excellent. My husband was recovering from surgery so we needed more pillows. We asked the host and they were delivered very quickly. I’ve stayed in many airbnb and this is definitely one of the best. I’d recommend the restaurant right at the end of the street called Ballad - it’s a peaceful oasis amongst the hectic street. Great food and service

Emre's place made an unforgettable memory for us. We were there for about 10 days, the place matched the description and the photos, close to public transportations and He has been very helpful and responded. For example, We needed a baby chair , a baby bed and we found the pans not useful for us. he immediately provided them. Emre was really great and very lovely. Highly recommended.

A great host, very communicative and helpful. The apartment is in a good location, but it's very local. We enjoyed it, but it's not for everyone. The apartment itself matched the description but needs a bit of TLC. The design is a little strange with each room being a self contained unit with its own fridge and sink, and some of the areas are a little worn. Overall a great experience.

Vraiment une super adresse pour loger à Istanbul en famille ou entre amis. Cette maison est parfaite par sa situation : commerces, tram, restos à proximité dans le joli quartier tranquille de Balat. Équipement et literies au top ; Gila a été très accueillant, de bon conseil, toujours disponible et réactif 👍 !

We stayed in this place for six days and we had a great time. The house is in an excellent location specially for younger people. The house is as great as it is presented in the pictures and has all the utilities as described.

Apartment is located very close to galata tower. The location is perfect with sunset view from the roof. Lots of restaurants, cafe and bars around. Apartment is located on4th floor and building doesn’t have elevator so a good source of workout. Warm, quiet space with loads of windows. I felt at home. Fully equipped with amenities.

Hands-down, one of the best places I’ve stayed with Airbnb. It was spacious and cozy at the same time. Perfect for a couple or you can be together but also have your own space. Huge bathroom that felt like a wine cave. And fantastic location, short walk to Galata tower, restaurants and the T1

This was one of my favorite Istanbul stays! Both the location & the house were amazing & so we enjoyed going out & staying in in our cozy space. Very stylish & smart design. The host is super responsive & very helpful. We truly enjoyed this stay & definitely coming back ✨
