Our stay was relaxing and the home was impeccably maintained. We were close to downtown and to our friends; it was so convenient. It was so nice to come downstairs to the kitchen in the morning and have morning coffee sitting outside on the porch. It was one of our best stays in Denison and we will be back!!!

Great little place out of the main traffic flows. It was central to everywhere we needed to go. It’s a quaint little place it’s some adorable mini donkeys.

I will definitely come back to the barrel house, very beautiful and peaceful place. If you’re looking for a nice peaceful weekend getaway, the barrel house is the right place for you.

I can't express in words how perfect this place is. Must stay to believe. If you love nature and quiet as we do you'll be happy there. Stocked with everything you could need. Spotlessly clean! Felt like home. Would be happy to live there! Constant beautiful bird watching, all kinds of games and activities for adults and children. Grandson caught fish in the pond and son called in a turkey. There was even a pair of geese with babies that entertained us one full evening.

Great for a last minute stay. Tung was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed for both us and our dogs. Will stay again!!

Our family’s stay at Lilac House was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we drove onto the secluded property to the minute we walked into the warm and inviting home, we knew we were in a special place. Rosemary’s home was exceptionally clean and stocked with games, a tv ready for your streaming services, beautiful handmade quilts throughout, heated toilet seats with bidets, a Blackstone to cook your meals, a washer and dryer with detergent to use, and a fantastic screened in porch to enjoy your beautiful surroundings. She thought of everything, and we needed nothing to prepare our family meals in her well stocked and well equipped kitchen. Cabinets throughout were labeled and easy to navigate. Rosemary was incredibly responsive and patient answering all of our countless questions. She was wonderful to work with. Our family of 5 plus our two dogs enjoyed a memorable stay at the Lilac House. We highly recommend Rosemary’s Lilac House and would unequivocally stay there again.

We had a great time staying here and wished we had more time available so we could stay longer. The swings next to the fire pit were delightful and the 5 of us fit comfortably in this cute spot.

This place is amazing. Always love coming back to stay here. Great space inside and out. Home away from home!

We enjoyed our stay with Joe and Elle so much! The entire experience from check-in to check-out was seamless and easy. I was able to directly communicate with them with any questions I had, and they were very quick to respond. You can see their sense of style and humor all throughout the cabin with their helpful and funny notes. Our stay at the Lake House was very nice. The house is not huge but there was plenty of room for us all. We cooked most of our meals. The kitchen is stocked, but I missed my knives. The very best part of our stay was access to the beach. It was wonderful! The water is very shallow so the littles could get in a play without us worry about them too much. The sand is as white as any beach in Texas. So nice! The kids loved playing in it too. It was a little bit of a hike down to the beach. It would not be an easy walk for someone who is somewhat handicapped. But we all made it just fine. The main road is a little noisy during the day, but not much noise at night. I would definitely recommend this place.

Wonderful stay! The property is ideal for a couple with pets, and I spent well over two months there. The dogs enjoyed running around in the large yard.

We absolutely loved the backyard. We came to enjoy our days off, relax, and do some gambling. Only a short 10 minutes from Choctaw and extremely close to the lake. The backyard was where we spent most of our time at the house. The trees were perfect shade and it’s a nice clean backyard for our pup ❤️
