The Lake Escape - Waterfront, Hot Tub Sleeps 14!

Our family had a wonderful stay at this cottage. It was clean, it had a well-stocked kitchen and comfortable rooms to sleep. The check-in process was easy and everything was easy to find in the home. Our kids loved the ping pong table. The hot tub was especially lovely as the weather was a bit cooler than we had hoped for! Again, a lovely visit and we would highly recommend. This is an excellently kept AirBnB and a really kind and thoughtful host. We had forgotten some belongings behind and were quickly notified and he offered to ship them back to us, making our life so much easier and solving a problem that could have been a headache! We will be back in the future!

Lakeside Cottage w/ New Hot Tub and Stunning Views

We enjoyed our stay very much. The place was even nicer in person compared to the photos. Great attention to detail. The beds were very comfortable with softer & firmer pillows. The wood stove by the big TV and cushy couch was great. The hot tub was amazing. Lake side view off the deck was very nice. Strongly recommend. We’d love to come back.

Charming, Spacious Townhouse, Convenient Location

Lovely townhouse. Great tub and comfy bed! The garage was an added bonus. The hosts were very kind and helpful if we needed anything. The neighbourhood is a little busy/noisy and the bedrooms are bright in the morning so I suggest earplugs and a sleep mask if you are a light sleeper!

Tom was very accommodating and helpful before and during our stay. Check-in was easy and quick and there was clear instructions on how to do it. Tom was very prompt and helpful whenever we had questions. The space also had lots of information on local activities so we had a good idea of what was around. The space was clean and had all of the amenities listed.

Cottontail Cabin with Hot Tub and wood fired Sauna

The gorgeous log cabin was exactly as described, very private and beautifully decorated- especially the glass artwork and glassware from Gray Glass Art/Gather Glassblowing & Brewery which is right in town. The quaint town of Merrickville was only a 10 minute drive and worth a visit. The wood burning sauna, hot tub, inside wood stove and fire pit made us feel like we had our own nordic spa. Liz & Mike were so responsive and helpful. Thank you for hosting us, we had such a lovely birthday away :)

A Room with a View

Magnifique propriété, calme et privée. La vue sur le pont couvert de Wakefield est tout simplement splendide ! Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la grande quantité de fenêtres et la luminosité de la salle de séjour. Le spacieux balcon et le bruit apaisant de l’eau qui coule ont également ajouté à la sérénité du lieu. En tant qu’amateur de vintage, d’antiquités et de récupération, j’ai été ravi par le mobilier : tout est magnifique ! Nous avons également profité du spa à plusieurs reprises. Ce séjour était exactement ce dont nous avions besoin pour des vacances reposantes, et nous avons atteint notre objectif! Quelques ajustements mineurs pourraient être envisagés pour améliorer encore l'expérience, mais c'est un travail de perfectionnement pour l'avenir.

me and a group of dads went up for a weekend of relaxation. the cottage was clean and exactly as described. beds were comfortable, sauna was great, hot tub was amazing, everything you need is there.

Hi Bin and Li, Just wanted to send a huge thank you for hosting our family reunion and civil wedding. The house was perfect—cozy, welcoming, and just a few minutes from our family home in Ottawa, which made everything so convenient. Every guest loved the vibes of the house, especially the event hall. It was beautifully set up and created the perfect atmosphere for our ceremony and reception. The BBQ dinner was a hit, and everyone had a blast enjoying the meal together. A special shoutout to the lovely lady who took care of the cleaning. She was not only efficient but also incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring everything was spotless and comfortable. Your place has definitely earned a spot on our Ottawa Airbnb favorites list. We had a group of 5 of us staying in this home plus a dog and we were very comfortable. The house is very clean and well furnished. Hosts responded promptly. Lots of space to relax plus a fenced in yard for the dog. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent stay! An amazing apartment. It was spotless and very comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the Gatineau/Ottawa area. Beautiful kitchen! Location was great, with only 15-20 minutes from Parliament hill. A very peaceful neighbourhood.
