The cottage is located on our 80 acre farmstead in the bucolic rolling hills of Western Wisconsin just over an hour from the Twin Cities. Relax, create, or dream in this peaceful setting. Cherish time with loved ones. Hike along the creek, woodlands and fields. Enjoy the plentiful birds and wildlife. Bring your bike in the summer, and snow shoes in the winter. Cozy up to the wood stove with a hot beverage. Work remotely with our high speed WiFi. We welcome up to two dogs for an additional fee.

This stunning lakefront Mansion is perfect for family gatherings, reunions, weddings, and retreats, just 90 min from MSP airport, 45min from Eau Claire airport . Sleeps 20 in 5 private suites (3 kings, 2 queens) plus a kids’ bunk room; add 2 more bedrooms for 6-8 extra guests. Enjoy a chef’s kitchen, 8 fireplaces, enormous game room, 10 TVs, complimentary kayaks, and a pontoon rental available . Summer offers boating and fishing, winter brings cozy fires, sledding, ice fishing and snowmobiling.

Easily accessible, 3 miles from I-94 and St. Hwy. 29, 1/2 way between the university cities of Eau Claire and Menomonie, 1 1/4 hours from St. Paul/Minneapolis. There is a growing art and music scene, with multiple music festivals, etc. The area also has fine restaurants, theaters, parks, and historical sites. Come to be restored.

Hello & Welcome to our new home away from home! Our completely renovated and updated rental is fully furnished for your convenience. Located in a quiet neighborhood five blocks from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, and 11 blocks from historic downtown Menomonie. Offering two bedrooms and one bath, along with a full daybed and a twin trundle, easily sleeping seven people. Our rental is a perfect home base for business travelers, college parents or vacationers just looking to enjoy and relax!

Cozy cabin on Elk Lake

This cozy cabin, perched above a quiet, beautiful lake, with views of soaring pine trees and wildlife is a great place for relaxing next to the warm fireplace, or taking a dip in the cool water. If you're feeling adventurous, consider hiking nearby trails, or enjoying a game, or a laugh with family and friends around the fire pit. The cabin sits about 80 steps (a challenge for some) above Elk Lake. Elk lake is a no wake lake that is great for fishing, kayaking (we have two), and swimming.

Peaceful Stay close to ski trail 6 miles to Stout

A guest favorite for 5+ years! This cozy, Scandinavian-inspired suite is perfect for couples seeking a peaceful nature escape with modern comfort. Private entrance 1/4 of our ranch home all the privacy you need. Just 6 miles from Menomonie and 1 mile from Downsville, enjoy birdsong mornings, nearby trails, and starry nights. Spot birds from the yard, bike or ski the Red Cedar Trail, or grab a fresh pastry and local brew at Scatterbrain Café. Quiet, scenic, and relaxing—your retreat awaits.

Lil’ Kickback on Elk Creek (Eau Claire area)

Remote, tranquil, quiet and private getaway on 5.8 acres on the banks of the Elk Creek; only 1.5 hours from the Twin Cities! This creek is known as a class 1 trout stream. Guests can enjoy fishing, sight seeing, canoeing and kayaking the Chippewa River or Elk Lake, biking, hiking, atv/utv and snowmobile trails nearby as well. Enter a world of peace and calm deep in the woods. This is a beautiful rustic cabin that has been beautifully restored. Permit issued and inspected by Dunn County.

Elk Creek Inn Historic Dam Keepers Cottage

Get away from it all! This charming little home is perfectly located on a dead-end street, a short drive to either Menomonie or Eau Claire. Upon arriving, you will feel a sense of calmness and seclusion. Relax to the sounds of the falls and the birds singing. Wander the gardens and play in the spring fed lake. Read a book in the hammock or simply stare at the reflection on the calm lake. We offer a canoe, rowboat, 2 kayaks, and S.U.P for exploring as well as a grill and fire pit area.

Water's Edge House on Tainter Lake

Gorgeous little house with cap cod feel, right on the water. We call this baby "Water's Edge on Tainter Lake". Perfect way for a quick escape from the Twin cities, only 50 minutes away. Fish off the permanent dock on the water. Beautiful views and sunsets on a fun, active recreational lake. Short boat ride to Jake's super club. Some guests say its a "private location", but we are on a very active lake with houses close by. Please read our "other details to note" for more info.

Kamshire Valley (Main Cabin)

25 minutes from Menomonie (UW-Stout), 45 minutes to Eau Claire, 1 hr 15 minutes to MN. Kamshire Valley's Main Cabin offers an abundance of wildlife viewing, an inviting large brick patio and firepit, miles of trails for snowshoeing, hiking and cross-country skiing. Has 1 bedroom with Queen bed; If you need more rooms we have 2 additional rustic cabins (air, heat-no bathroom) that are available for additional $50/ cabin/night. The best nature has to offer, bring your camera!

Spacious Country Studio/Loft

Our spacious 900 sq. ft. studio/loft was once the art studio used by a local children’s book illustrator. You will notice some of her artwork and photos displayed throughout. The studio was designed with the intention of accommodating 2– 4 people. Our studio is beautiful, peaceful and private. Extra sanitizing practices are being taken for your safety.
