Swallow Cottage, Auldgirth - north of Dumfries.

Swallow Cottage was lovingly converted by Steve and Sarah from McMurdoston's old granary in 2014 and provides a wonderfully peaceful place to stay while exploring Dumfries and Galloway. The cottage is only 20 minutes drive from a 24-hour supermarket, a cinema and numerous eateries, but once you get here you'll feel as if you are truly in the middle of nowhere. We live just across the yard if you need us and we'll do everything we can to make your stay comfortable, relaxing and quietly memorable.

Burnbrae Byre

Truly luxurious holiday accommodation in a tastefully converted byre, set in a tranquil, rural location, but ideally located for all that the south- west has to offer. The cottage is beautifully presented with hard wood floors and finishes throughout, including a wood-burning stove in the spacious living room, sumptuous beds chosen for their quality and comfort, and fully equipped to make a superb holiday cottage. Quiet and tranquil garden and patio area, perfect for enjoying a glass of bubbly and taking in the wonderful views and relaxing. The semi detached cottage is stylish and tastefully decorated. Part of the beauty of Woodend is even though you are surrounded by fields, it’s only a stroll into Dumfries town centre (20 mins) where you will find pubs, restaurants and shopping.

Welcome to our idyllic riverside cottage. Nestled in the picturesque Dumfries & Galloway countryside and set on the banks of Cairn Water. The area is rich with wildlife. Red squirrel, deer, kingfisher, woodpecker, red kite, buzzard and otter are just a few of the local visitors spotted from our garden. Stepford Station Cottage is the perfect cosy retreat for nature lovers. We welcome up to 2 well behaved dogs at no extra fee.
