Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make you trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, it's Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". Our large family home is in a quiet suburban area, 5km west of Edinburgh city - 12 mins drive and 25 mins by bus to the city centre, 15 mins drive from Edinburgh airport. Free off street parking + Wi-Fi. Breakfast is included in the price. Use of our kitchen and garden space. Guest room has 1 double bed and 1 double futon bed with a bathroom next door. We can comfortably host 3 friends or a family of 3. No smoking allowed inside. We also have two friendly cats - Molly and Tiger. Fáilte!

'Silverknowes Suite' is a small, newly renovated, light and airy ground floor studio with own front door, kitchenette and ensuite. Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, within 5 minutes walk to bus routes to the city centre and 10 minutes to the airport bus stop. By car, the city can be reached in 15 minutes. There are beautiful nearby walks down to the Forth River front and beach. The suite is attached to our family home but the connecting door will be kept locked ensuring your privacy.

When booking please let me know your estimated check in time. Bright room facing the waterfront in Granton Harbour, approx 3 miles north of the city centre. The place is connected by buses 9, 22, X37, 19, 16 and 17 (airport). Elevator + 1 underground car park available. Guests can use the kitchen and have your professional latte as much as you like. There are also cereal and milk. We have 2 kids (1 & 5yrs old). We also have a cat. The cat litter is in the bathroom but is kept tidy.

The Bothy a self contained tiny home suitable for 2 guests. It is situated in the garden of our family home. It is a studio style accommodation, one room, one bed with a private en-suite. Drylaw is a residential area that has excellent links to the airport and city centre. The distance to the airport is 5 miles, the city centre is 2.8 miles. The hot tub is a great place to unwind after a busy day exploring beautiful historic Edinburgh.
