What we LOVED - - Cozy, clean, spacious rooms, the best part was that we had the entire floor to ourselves, with a cozy living room, a big bedroom, a balcony with a great view and a separate bathroom. - Marmi was a great host, always available responsive and helpful. She also took care of our food preferences, helped us get cabs, and always had a smile on her face. - Marmi's place is perfect in terms of the proximity to various places in Kohima. The interiors of her place make you feel at home instantly and the balcony offers a perfect view of Kohima ❤️ What could be improved - - The latch to our main door wasn't working, and it'd open on its own. Marmi dint have the key to the door either so there was no option to lock the room. - The room dint have a heater (which usually a basic amenity given the weather in Kohima) and Marmi offered one at extra charge per day, which we thought was a bit much as the heater wasn't working properly either.

Usually I never write a review unless it’s something special. Mountain View Homestay was exactly what I was looking for in a Homestay. Location: Very peaceful surroundings and very close to Kohima. Accommodation: The room is bit small, but spotlessly clean and functional, very thoughtful interiors, clean bathrooms with all amenities. Food: The highlight of the stay was the simple and deliciously prepared homemade breakfast and dinner. Host: Anga and her sister Ketho and their mother made us feel at home, making sure that our stay was comfortable. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Nagaland first time and sure you will feel at home instantly. Kenei is a wonderful host and he provided us with the most beautiful room with the perfect view of the hills in Kohima. He is warm, patient and assisted me with all my queries. I am grateful to him and his lovely housekeeper Sini for our time in Kohima. Thanks Kenei and see you again soon !

It’s really a very nice place to stay… she communicated very well and patiently addressed my queries. And her father and mother extremely good. They took care like their own family. Very spacious room and good access to Common area. Bathroom will be near kitchen… but it doesn’t bother me as I felt like a home. From ISBT kohima, we should hire private cab or use their pick up. (200 one way) Food - authentic fish bamboo soup with rice and star fruit juice. I like it. Each food will cost you 300. Breakfast is free. I wish to stay longer, definitely will come back for longer stay.

If plush mattresses, uninterrupted electricity or heated rooms are important, continue searching. If you value genuine village hospitality, with a view into Naga family life - and the chance to participate in and learn about it - then this place is simply the best. The host family is graciously welcoming, friendly and helpful. I felt truly cared for and extended my stay because it was so comfortable and fun. Dinners by the fire, breakfast in the sunny garden, lively conversation with the hosts and other guests; healthy, fresh local cuisine; easily arranged outings to nearby sites. Even the pets are friendly and engaging, definitely part of the scene. Just bring warm clothes -including nightwear- during the chilly months (eg, January). I highly recommend Dawn Homestay and very much hope to return someday.

An excellent place to stay, particularly during the Hornbill Festival (the Naga Heritage Village is within walking distance). The room was clean and had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. We were served tasty breakfasts at the onsite cafe. Having this cafe was convenient since we could order food and beverages at other times of the day too. Also onsite was a gift shop which stocked some nice items. The host was responsive, forthcoming and helpful. The staff were polite and efficient. Highly recommend this place.

The living space at the home stay is impeccably clean, from the face towel to the bed linen, everything is professionally maintained, leaving a remarkable impression. The bathroom is exceptionally clean, and the provision of an electric kettle along with coffee and tea adds to the convenience. Ms. Abigail, the host, is not only soft-spoken but also kind-hearted and incredibly accommodating. Her hospitality truly enhanced our stay, especially with the sumptuous and hearty breakfast she served us, making our day memorable. I highly recommend booking this place without hesitation.
