My husband and I went for a quiet weekend getaway, and the place was beyond expectations, even on their off season. The lodge and grounds were lovely, luxurious and comfortable. Everything was easy. We knew in advance that we would need to bring picnic breakfast/lunch or drive 15 minutes into town, so we packed accordingly. Saturday dinner with Chef Chris was a delicious private dining experience, with every detail tended to. I can only imagine what the place is like during hunting season! So glad we found it. We’ll be back.

quiet town, quick stay for a night, nice place

It’s absolutely a wonderful place to stay. Very remote and quiet. It is on about 3.5 miles of gravel and come prepared with your own snacks/drinks if you don’t want to drive into town. Overall, my stay was amazing and I’ll definitely be back.

Tina is amazing! This was my very first AirBnb, and it went very well. I had a lot of family drama affecting my stay, and Tina was very helpful. The room was very comfortable, and my fellow residents were very nice. Tina also has two dogs who are adorable (they stay in the living quarters, not in the Air Bnb, but sometimes you might see or hear them on their walks and such). Tina did a great job in the description of pointing out that this is not a whole home for rent. It is a room with a shared bathroom and kitchenette. The shared spaces were nice, but they are used by other people, so don't expect invisible maid service. People will be cooking and showering, so think of dorm life in a country house. If you are looking for a laid back stay with a very friendly and welcoming innkeeper, I recommend Tina. She really helped make my stay comfortable. I would definitely come back, if she would have me.

This tent was exactly what we needed to decompress and get away from everyday life. The personalized welcome card was a great touch! Amber was very responsive to any questions I had and was extremely helpful. We did take a wrong turn (totally our own fault as Amber specifies NOT to turn where we did) and ended up on quite the adventure. Luckily we figured it out and turned around before the road got too bad. Once we figured out where we were supposed to go, it was smooth sailing. The fire starter worked great and the tent stayed very cool, which was a concern of mine because it was very hot the day we stayed. It stormed throughout the night and the tent stayed dry and standing with no trouble. The bed was unbelievable. The only thing I will warn is the tents are very close together so you will hear your neighbors... That is literally the ONLY thing that could be considered a downside, however, there are so many great things that outweigh that. We will definitely stay here again!

Loved it!! I was in the area for an extended family reunion. Many states represented, but all have roots in the area. They were impressed to know that Lyons (population 2022) not only HAS an Airbnb, but that it is so nice & so affordable. A cousin & I are already looking forward to a stay there this fall--fun time together as we stroll down Memory Lane at our leisure.
