My place is surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Family activities are close at hand. You’ll love my place because of its homely feel - lots of guests have commented that they feel at home in Chapel House, its fabulous aspect and its magical character. My place is perfect for couples and families. Its open-plan design cultivates holiday togetherness. Relaxation comes easily here. My village has two lovely pubs. Our comfortable first floor self catering holiday apartment, Cobbles, is to the rear of the original pub but is now the Fountain tearooms. The apartment has a spacious king size double bedroom and twin room, and an open plan living/dining/kitchen area, each with flat screen TV. The village has 2 beautiful local pubs, village shop and a tea rooms serving freshly made produce. Cheese Press Cottage is a stunning boutique cottage set within the grounds of an 100 acre private property giving complete privacy and solitude. A perfect base for walking and cycling or just simply relax among the endless unspoilt countryside. Many historic houses are very nearby including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Tissington Hall among others. There are many pubs and farm shops nearby so whether you want to eat out, grab a takeaway or simply enjoy cooking - the choice is yours!

The Old Cattle Barn, Peak District - Valley View

A beautifully renovated stone barn, set in the grounds of a Grade 2* listed farm dating back to 1640. Meticulously transformed from the original cattle stalls into a modern, perfectly rustic two-bed, two-bath cottage in 2023, it retains the history and character of the original building. From this idyllic rural location on the Peak District National Park boundary, there are breathtaking valley views across Bradbourne Brook, and yet the barn is only a 10-minute drive into Ashbourne.

Come and stay in my beautiful and stylish barn in the quirky little town of Wirksworth, known as the 'gem of the peaks'. The barn is situated in a quiet conservation area, minutes from the heart of Wirksworth with outstanding views of the town and countryside. Being on the edge of the Peak District, it is an ideal base for exploring this part of England, with great walks from the doorstep . Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and many other attractions are just a short drive away.

It is a great place to stay if you want a walking or cycling holiday or if you prefer a more leisurely break, taking in the stunning views of the Peak District.
