Set at the back of my old cottage, offering plenty of privacy, overlooking the vegetable garden and apple trees. Ideal for coastal walk to The Cliffs, ferry to Aran Islands, Doolin with it's mix of traditional music pubs & fine dining like Homestead Cottage ⭐️ Michelin. The Burren National Park is 30 min away.

The Blue Yard

The Blue Yard is a tiny home on the beautiful drive-on island of Aughinish, 12 km outside the sea-side town of Kinvara, named one of the top ten beautiful villages in Ireland. Aughinish Island is accessed by a 1 km causeway (not tidal) and is an area of unspoilt beauty with local pebble beaches a five minute walk away and the sandy beach of Traught a ten min drive away (8 km). You'll be staying on the Clare-Galway border with both the wildness of the Burren and Galway city at your doorstep.

A great place to come back to after a day exploring all the area has to offer.

A lovely hiking trail is just up the hill past St. Patrick's Church. Located in the village of New Quay on the scenic Wild Atlantic Way, we are on the route to Ballyvaughan and the Ciffs of Moher. (A car is necessary - we are in a very beautiful rural area with very limited public transport.)

Our passion is nature and rewilding ,we are happy to share what we have been doing here for over 30 years equally we are happy to leave you in peace amongst the trees and plants of the garden We are close to many places of interest like the Burren National park, Coole park and East Clare Way hiking routes. We hope our guests do too. We are in an ideal location for cycling, walking or swimming in the Sea and can provide storage for your Bicycles.
