Βρίσκεται στον ιστορικό οικισμό της Αλωνίσταινας στο υψόμετρο των 1220 μέτρων 10 km μακριά από την Βυτίνα και 20 km από το χιονοδρομικό κέντρο του Μαινάλου. Το κτίσμα είναι πέτρινο με ξύλινα παραδοσιακά στοιχεία και το εν λόγω σπίτι είναι στον πρώτο όροφο, με θέα στον ποταμό Ελισσώνα. Το διατηρητέο, λιθόκτιστο, πλατυμέτωπο (καπετανέικο) “κόκκινο σπίτι” του καπετάν-Ρίζου, καραβοκύρη της εποχής, δεσπόζει στο κανάλι του Πόρου από το 1851 και έχει φτάσει πλέον στην 6η γενιά της οικογένειας.
