Nestled in the mountains, this property was once the historical town of Hayman and contains breathtaking views of Pike's Peak, 10 miles of private hiking and biking trails and numerous ruins to be explored. This is the perfect place to truly escape the busyness of life.

Delightfully Cozy Historic Post Office/Guesthouse

Estelene was established in 1910 and served as a community center and post office for rural people of southwest Baca County until 1927. Estelene was named after Estelene Collins, the lady who operated the post office on the Collins Ranch where it was located. Estelene was also a teacher at the local schoolhouse for a time. The story goes that after she got older and unable to climb the hill to the original post office, she asked the community to build her a post office closer to the house.

The "Bunkhouse"

The bunkhouse is attached to a barn on our 65 acre ranch adjacent to BLM National Forest with access to hiking trails. Located just behind the main house with your own entry gate access and fenced- in parking area, the owners live on-premises yet extend to you the privacy you desire or assistance you need. Located 5 miles east of Bayfield, halfway between Pagosa Springs & Durango.

Get away from it all and enjoy your peaceful stay under the stars with great Mountain Views. Rustic Log cabin sleeps 6, additional people can stay in their own RV’s, campers or tents for a small added fee per person. Cabin rental required, then add on additional guests for RV or tent spots. No RV hook ups. Dry camping only. 12 ft. Height restriction on RV’s. Tent guests may use bath house facilities. Maximum 14 people 75 acres to hike, rock climb, mountain bike.
