The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. Our property is 150 acres total, off the last end-state maintenance road in the county, though just a 20 minute drive off interstate 81, or to the quaint town of Floyd, or the Virginia Tech area. This one is a 24' yurt, beautifully modern with a fully-equipped kitchen, bathroom and steam-sauna shower, TV and (high speed) wi-fi, and comfortable sleeping and hangout spaces- surrounded by 150 acres of streams, trails and natural beauty. Dogs welcome!

Up A Creek on Claytor Lake

Enjoy looking at the lake from almost every room in the house. Wake up in one of 3 private bedrooms or the sunroom (daybed and trundle bed) looking at the water. Have coffee on the porch while the sun rises, walk straight into the lake from the boat landing, enjoy relaxing on the patio, lay out in the sun, jump off the private dock, build a sandcastle on the beach, and then finish your day with a bonfire in the fire pit while still looking at the lake with the moon shining down.

The Boat House

The Boat House is a newly remodeled studio space. It’s a unique place to stay, located on a private dead end road right on the water with beautiful views it’s 5 minutes from I 81. Perfect for Virginia Tech home sporting events. It’s also perfect for Virginia Tech and Radford University Graduations, weekend or weekly family getaway. You will have access to the dock on the property for fishing and swimming, there is available space at the dock if you have your own watercraft.

Waterfront cabin located where New River meets Claytor Lake. The location is perfect for all types of water activities including boating, jet skiing, kayaking, canoeing, tubing and fishing. Home has a boat dock and access to boat ramp on the property. Large, flat yard is perfect for gatherings and outdoor activities. Large covered porch with ample seating and table space. Located directly across the water from Allisonia boat ramp and New River Trail. New WiFi provider.

Cabin on the Creek

This 1 room cabin with kitchenette (2 top burner, small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker) with full bath is set on Toms Creek, fifteen minutes drive from Virginia Tech and the town of Blacksburg. The space itself is private, rustic and charming even though we live just next door. We thank you for no pets, vaping or smoking inside the cabin and we are happy to share that our onsite managers, Ray and Mara, will be handling all inquiries on our behalf.
