Very convenient for our purpose. St Aloysius Parish was only 10 min drive & 4 min drive to Taylor’s Wines. We know that check in wasn’t until 2pm but the wedding was held @ 2pm so requested if checking in a bit earlier was possible. Request granted. Welcomed by the lovely hosts. The accommodation is like a five star hotel. The linen were super clean with modern decor & furnishings. The apartment was surrounded with a beautiful garden. Breakfast was also provided. Had 3 choices of breakfast cereals, a basket full of fresh fruits, yogurt, bread, tea, coffee & juices. Would definitely stay here again & will recommend to our friends & families. Would give it a perfect score of 10/10

Wonderfully warm and cosy, beautifully appointed with sympathetic attention to heritage values, and most bountifully provisioned with breakfast supplies. Easy walk into the centre of town.

Loved staying at Aggies retreat, location was fantastic, very comfortable and had everything we needed. Was like a home away from home. Would go back as a great base for Clare Valley trips

We were a group of 8 friends having a catch up and golfing weekend in the area. Driving up to the Homestead you knew you were in for a great weekend. I huge fan of the architecture and the era and we were all very impressed. Large rooms to spread out, large kitchen with all you needed to cook up a feast and a bbq outside. Beautiful lawned grounds and rose gardens. The 7 bedrooms were all a good size and beds comfortable. 3 Bathrooms (2 ensuite ) were great and plenty of hot water. Only had one problem we couldn’t get the TV to work ( the boys were disappointed couldn’t watch the football). Price wise each couple paid what we would have paid for two nights at a nice hotel but this option gave us all the room we needed to gather together and really enjoy the company. Would stay there again in a heartbeat and highly recommend. I will be sharing photos with family and friends. Thanks for a Wonderful stay Nick and Alexander

A beautiful house in beautiful surroundings. Well equipped, good beds. Lovely outdoor areas for relaxing and bird watching. Shirin gave us a lots of advice on what to see, do, eat and drink- which we followed. We loved the stay and Shirin was the perfect host.

The house was well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Loved having ample cosy blankets, nice bedding, towels and excellent resources in the kitchen for 6 people.
