My family and I stayed here as my son was graduating from SIU. I needed a home with plenty of room and the ability to bring my dog. There were 6 of us and it was perfect. We used the grill on the first night, while the dog ran around in the yard(we had a rope for her as it wasn’t fenced in). Lori was very responsive and we were able to check in and out a bit early and late. That was very helpful. It was a quiet and peaceful area as well. It worked out perfectly

The Owls Nest was a perfect place to stay with our family and our 2 dogs. The fenced in back yard had plenty of room, a fire pit and nice sized deck. The bedrooms were all cozy and had comfortable beds. The living room has plenty of room to play games or watch a movie and the kitchen has everything you need . We love to hike and Mt Bike and this location was close to many hiking trails and about a 5 min drive to Touch of Nature trails for riding. We would definitely book another stay at the Owls Nest!

Our stay here was great! Dzenad was very responsive with any questions I had. It is so peaceful with the river practically in the backyard. I DEFINITELY recommend staying there if you get the chance.

Had a quiet weekend and really enjoyed the place. Clean and cozy, easy check in, good communication. Loved the peace and quiet (a few cars on the nearby road didn’t really mar the experience). Did a lot of porch and hot tub sitting, watching the cows, birds and clouds.

Rosemary was super flexible and helpful. We had a wedding rehearsal and she let us in early. Space was great for our family. Lots of room. The location was near businesses, not residential, but not an issue on the weekend. We brought a sound machine which was helpful. Thin walls and sometimes noise on the street (cars/trucks). We are from a remote area.

This place was perfect for us, and had everything we needed! The keurig and the drip coffee maker, with plenty of coffee, were nice. The beds and furniture were comfortable. The location was great for our family events in Bonne Terre and Fredericktown. We would definitely stay there again!

The house is a wonderful combination of historic charm and modern convenience. It is beautiful while being comfortable and welcoming. We found the furniture comfortable and the provided supplies and amenities ready to meet all our needs. The grounds are gorgeous and although the house is conveniently located off a main road - you feel as though you have escaped to a beautiful haven. Jerri was a great host that helped answer all our question before and during our visit- Thank you Jerri! We had a few small issues when we were at the place, but these were all resolved quickly and did not impact our overall positive experience. When we arrived, the lock was not working and ultimately it needed batteries changed. This required a 20-30 min wait to get. We also had a few maintenance issues, but again Jerri was extremely responsive to these and got everything working quickly. We would not hesitate to stay here again or at any property managed by Jerri!
