We loved using the pool and the patio/grill area. The view and the landscaping are beautiful. The owner was helpful and responsive; she supplied firewood and charcoal. Plenty of dining space both indoors and out. Good A/C.

Barbara was so helpful. What a peaceful stay for our family. The farm tour was amazing. The post cards were an added bonus. We were there for a memorial service and there was plenty of space.

We had a great stay at the Blue House and can’t recommend it enough for your next trip to Lake Anna! The house was well-equipped, clean, and the host was flexible and accommodating with our check-in/out times. The property has beautiful, waterfront views and is located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. We would definitely stay again!

Susan’s farm house was perfect for enjoying a relaxing getaway with plenty of space for multiple families and kids. All of the spices are very large and honestly it’s better in person than in the pictures. We would recommend it to anyone and return again! The kitchen was nicely stocked with everything you could need. And it was great being right on the winery.

Great location next to slopes and restaurants! Easy to get to, park out front and easy access to enter. Cozy and comfortable inside and everything available we would need for the weekend. Appreciated the plentiful firewood right out front. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back in the summer! Thank you for sharing your mountain condo with our family!

We loved our stay at Sunset Farm. The home is even more beautiful in real life, with stunning views in every direction. If you stay you should give yourself time to enjoy the outdoor spaces, the pool and patios are lovely and relaxing. We hope to return.

Jamie's house was beautiful, very well stocked, and comfortable. It was the perfect spot for our girls' trip. Jamie and her team were SO quick to respond to any questions we had, and they did so in a kind and helpful manner. The house would be a wonderful place for a family trip, too - there were kids' utensils and plates in the kitchen, the pool has a tall locked gate, and the yard is great for running around. the sound machines in the bedrooms were also a nice touch! We enjoyed sitting outside on the back porch and taking in the beautiful, peaceful views. I'd recommend this Afton house to friends and would stay here again if I'm ever back in the area!

Jeff was great at communication and flexibility for our trip. If you’re looking for a great host that makes you comfortable, stay here. The house itself was awesome. We had no major issues, which is rare for a rental of this size

A very nice place, cozy and very clean. Even though it rained and we couldn't enjoy the hot tub, it didn't stop us from enjoying it. It has everything you need.

Our 2-week stay was wonderful. The views are wonderful, from every room. The kitchen was gorgeous and well-equipped. Loved the lay-out of the house. The owners were very welcoming and responsive. I would give this listing 10 stars if I could.

Perfectly suited the needs for our small family. Cozy feel. Exactly what we wanted for our mountain getaway. Good instructions both through Airbnb and a binder. Outdoor and screened porch was great.

TDLR version: If you have a big group (more than 5) for a ski trip at Wintergreen, and are looking at places to stay, you better book this place fast because it won’t be there later. 100% worth it. No complaints at all. Longer review: This place had everything we expected and more. Big living room area for gatherings, pristine kitchen with huge counter and dining table. Appliances looked brand new as well. There’s a mudroom with a separate entrance to put all your board/ski gear in to keep the house clean. The back deck is very spacious, and the gazebo has a light under it for late nights outside. Internet worked great the whole stay as well. All in all, it felt like we were staying at resort lodging, while having a private host on speed dial. Gina was an amazing host, being very responsive, giving detailed yet not overly complicated instructions and rules for the house, and being understanding when problems arose. 12/10 would stay again.

Had a great stay at Hunter's place. We went with our family of four (kids 8 and 6) and some good friends, also a family of four (kids 8 and 6). The place was perfect for what we needed. Plenty of space, nice kitchen, lovely living room, big bedrooms, bathrooms, etc. You feel right at home when you walk in, directions were clear, Hunter was very responsive, and Hunter and Sara provide some great local recommendations of their favorite things around town. Good value and I would definitely stay again!

Our weekend girls' trip getaway to Susanne's pastoral family homeplace was absolutely wonderful, as this property is truly its own point of interest! While all bed/bath/kitchen provisions were top notch and well exceeded a typical amenity checklist, the thing that comforted us the most was a warm and open welcoming into the doors of this historic family home. From classic furnishings and sturdy wares, old photos and whimsical trinkets, interesting nooks and mysterious crannies, peaceful porch seating and delightful cow parades, abundant trees and beautiful flowers... we felt like we were right at home. Although we could have been perfectly content staying parked on the property our entire stay (and may plan to do just that for our next visit) we opted to enjoy a lovely drive for a day hike to a stunning waterfall in Shenandoah National Park, and went in to Charlottesville for some shopping on the pedestrian mall. We 100% recommend this historic property and Susanne's warm hospitality!

We had such a lovely time at the ‘small house’! Jennifer was quick to respond with any questions we had (about the property and the town)! We loved playing yard games and hanging out by the water. The kitchen was stocked with spices and all the things we needed to spend time together cooking. We plan to visit again in the Winter!

We had a great stay at the Critzer House. It was just as described and perfect for our two families of four. Plenty of room for all of us to hang out together or retreat to separate spaces for some quiet time. The sunroom was great for starting the day with coffee and finishing with adult beverages. The location was ideal...30 minutes or less to incredible hikes, breweries, wineries, and distilleries. Easy walk to Blue Mountain Brewery for dinner after a long day exploring the beautiful surrounding area.

Overall was a great location to anyone wanting to enjoy the outdoors since the National Forest was nearby with gorgeous views! Or even enjoy all that the resort area offered! House was clean and the host was always made sure to get back to us about any questions that may have come up. Our kids loved that there was a game area as well that they could watch tv or game without having to give up the TV for the adults to watch TV.

The photos matched the place. It was very clean and well maintained. A great place to be away from everything and unplug but near trails.

Connie's Rock Cottage was amazing! much thought was put into this cottage. Firewood and fire starter for the wood stove on chilly nights, robes we used for getting to and from the private hot tub just steps outside the back door,map of entire 550 acres of land including the wonderful paved walkway which meanders through the property. This was the mosr exceptionally prepared kitchen we have seen in out travels. Tons of utensils, a full set of potsand pans, dish towels, trivets, cutting boards and cooking sheets! We love to cook together when we travel and this kitchen was big enough for 2! We got some amazing pictures all over the farm. The lack of light pollution allowed us to enjoy the stars and Pink Full Moon in all their glory! We will be back to enjoy this cottage again!

Totally enjoyed our stay. The Homeplace was clean, well stocked and exactly as described. Justin was responsive, flexible, and accommodating. The fenced in back yard was a great amenity when traveling with our pups. Great host, beautiful location. Would definitely stay again.

Our stay was awesome! The self check in was flawless. The place, along with the view is simply breathtaking. During our time there, snow was on the ground, deer was on the property (and I mean a lot!) every day, what else could you want. We were there for a family gathering, and I can say that Bruce’s place totally served that purpose. We had more than enough space, the accommodations were great. We also enjoyed the fireplace, and roasting marshmallows and s’mores at the fire pit. Overall, it was nice just to get away from the everyday hustle for a while. So I can honestly say that I was completely satisfied, because during my stay there, It totally served that purpose.
