The river has heavy tidal flow (no river use from home). The Hoquiam River support runs of Chinook, chum, and coho salmon, steelhead, and sea-run trout. just a couple of miles upriver from Historic Downtown Hoquiam restaurants, stores and shops, 20 min to coast 45 min drive to Lake Quinault hiking trails South Shore Trailhead.

Just a ten minutes' walk to downtown Olympia, the 240 sq. ft. studio features heated floors, a small but functional kitchen and bathroom, quality bed, high ceilings and lots of natural light. It offers a peaceful and private retreat among towering trees overlooking Capitol Lake and the southern tip of the Salish Sea.

You'll find restaurants, a supermarket and more in town. Nearby you'll find two state parks. Ocean beaches are an easy drive away, and we're on the Olympic National Park loop. High speed Wifi and Netflix. Free parking. 2 pets allowed for a small one-time fee. Relax in this friendly environment!

The bedroom features bunk beds for the little ones while the loft features a mid-century modern Queen bed for the grown-ups. Basic kayaks, inflatables, and life jackets are provided! The spacious living room with writing desk, bedroom, bath, mini-kitchen (with hot plate), patio, and private coded entrance are on the lower floor of this rural mid-century modern house—our family home since 1960.
