Central Huron : locations de vacances avec kayak

This is a very special cottage in a beautiful location. We very much enjoyed the private beach and sauna. The kayak, waterboard and canoe were a great hit with the kids. Having the lawn and the shallow steps to the beach was particularly great for keeping an eye on the kids and easy access to the water for grandma. We didn't need them as we were outside most of the time, but there are games and Lego available for kids which I thought was a lovely touch. We would definitely like to come back! Fyi: One thing we missed with this listing is that there are no bedside lamps in any of the rooms which made reading very tricky as the overhead light is very dim.

Just returned from a 3 night stay for a lady's getaway. Trudy's place is just perfect inside and out. We enjoyed the numerous deck spaces, the view by the water, the firepit outside and even the live leafs game outdoors on the projector screen set up. So many amenities which is fantastic not to have to bring. Tons of sleeping space, open kitchen area with very large dinner table to accommodate a gathering. We will be making this space an annual spot for us. This is a gem 💎 Thanks Trudy! Julie

We rode our motorcycles from Ottawa to David's Brights Grove cottage and when we arrived, he had a nice cold one in the fridge for our arrival and fresh farm eggs (we didn't cook unfortunately). The cottage is sooo close to a beautiful blue water beach yet is far enough away, tucked in to the cutest and quietest little neighborhood you've ever seen. The cottage has a lovely, very private patio, all surrounded by plants and flowers and the trees keep it all wonderfully shaded. Also a nice outdoor fireplace and one indoors too. David stopped by on Sunday morning and told us to take our time checking out, chatted about the area with my partner (who grew up in that area 50/60 years ago), and took some pics of our motorcycles. What a fantastic person, we didn't meet Juli but hopefully in the future. Thank you David and Juli. We'll be spreading the word through the biker community to definitely check you out. Cheers. Great experience staying at this cottage. It is by far one of the nicest places on the Huron Shores. The view is spectacular through the huge windows. The house was spotless and clean, and very well appointed. Looked like it was out of a model home. Well stocked with games and things to do. Clean kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms. We had a great and relaxing time. Would definitely recommend this cottage. We will absolutely be booking again.

My stay at this cottage was fantastic! The serene surroundings provided the perfect escape from daily life. The cottage was well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, from a fully stocked kitchen to a cozy fireplace. The outdoor patio was a great spot for morning coffee, and the Wi-Fi and entertainment options were excellent. The space was stylish and comfortable, with incredibly cozy beds. The cleanliness was outstanding—everything was spotless, and the linens were fresh. The host was responsive and helpful, making the stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this cottage for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat. I’m already looking forward to returning!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our four night stay. The weather was a bit sketchy, however, we were still able to marvel at two beautiful sunsets. Very clean cottage, comfortable beds, clean linens. Exactly as pictured. Highly recommend two local restaurants; George’s in Kincardine and Fig … amazing meals and friendly staff. Look forward to coming back again. Thank you Nicole and Mike.

Sara was an excellent host! She was quick to respond, gave clear instructions and was very understanding of our needs. She had the fire going for us inside which was so nice! I very much appreciated her flexibility with check in and out! The home was beautiful and clean - it had everything we needed and felt like a home which is so nice! Loved the huge dining table for us girls to gather! The beds were a 8.5/10 which is a win. There was not complete privacy and we did feel out in the open at the fire pit - I’m sure summer is even busier! The sunset was stunning - the stairs to the beach were intense - great exercise but be prepared. Neighbour’s were friendly. I’d say the only negative (which isn’t really negative), was the living room furniture., it was somewhat uncomfortable because it has been used. A plus was being so close to Grand Bend for all your needs! Thanks Sara - we hope to return!

We had the perfect getaway at the pebble, the cottage was very homey and comfortable. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a place to unwind while listening to the sounds of the waves at any time of day! You can tell Catherine has put thought into every detail of the stay, from the ample seating, to the kayaks, and even a bottle of wine and chocolates upon arrival, Catherine has thought of everything and anything you might need. We really enjoyed the added touch of having a bin for vegetarian food scraps to feed the goats! Also the sunsets over Lake Huron both from the cottage and on the beach a few steps away were beautiful!

the house was wonderful to stay at and Janice was super responsive and had any issue fixed extremely fast. Felt like a home away from home! definitely will book again.

My stay here was wonderful! The cottage was even more beautiful than the pictures. It was very cozy and clean! My group really enjoyed the amount of activities there were to do from kayaking, to trampolining, to relaxing in the hot tub! Thank you so much Amanda for the lovely getaway ☀️⛱️

Wow!! This is a beautiful place…exactly as you see in the pictures. The outdoor shower was a nice feature. The outdoor space is comfortable and spacious. The fire pit was set up for us, all we had to do was light it. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. There are a number of steps to the beach but worth the walk as nothing beats a Lake Huron sunset. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board on the calm water. The beach area is very private , only a few others around. We loved this place and will be returning next year!!

The place is even more beautiful than the photos! Alexis’s place was spotless, had everything you would need, the beds were extremely comfortable, lots of space, peaceful, and the beach and view was gorgeous. The beach is sandy- not rocky and very slowly gets deeper but the water is pretty shallow (waist height) so great for kids or people looking to just cool off. We even found lots of sea glass for art! The stairs were easy to go up and down, but the golf cart was a great option if you didn’t want to or were unable to use the stairs. Just a short drive from grand bend, but Alexis gave many local activities and recommendations. I highly recommend bringing bug repellents. Alexis was very quick to respond, organized, and the best host I’ve communicated with on Airbnb. We would all love to come back!

I had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The space was incredibly cozy and inviting, making it feel like a home away from home. I truly appreciated the thoughtful small details throughout the place, from the cute decor to the little welcome treats left for us. Angela’s place was better than we could have hoped for. We stayed over the winter months and even the few times we had a chance to enjoy the lake was amazing. She is a great host who was very helpful. We had a great time.

A cabana superou as expectativas, definitivamente uma experiência rústica 5 estrelas. Fizemos churrasco em nossa varanda, fogueira em frente a cabana e aproveitamos o lago com nosso filho com um lindo passeio de pedalinho.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Hawthorn cottages and Brian as a host. I rented a one bedroom cabin for the weekend, and it was perfect. I was looking for a rest in relaxation and I found it. You have all of your basic amenities in the cozy, rustic dwellings. Simple and efficient. Great value for the experience. There is a shared bathroom facility, separate men’s and ladies’ washroom and a shower. It’s truly a little slice of paradise. So peaceful and every cabin is mere steps from the lake. Gorgeous scenery. I went as a solo female traveler and felt cozy and comfortable the entire time. It was perfect. Brian checked in from time to time to make sure everything was going well. Everyone there was so friendly and lovely. I look forward to returning.

We had a great time at Brian's place! The amenities were excellent and the lake was gorgeous, especially at sunrise and sunset. If you walk out a bit at night you can also get a great view of the stars. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and we really appreciated being able to buy propane and wood at the shop. The bathroom was also really clean and it was nice that there was hot water.

Perfect little slice of Eugenia! We will be back with more family next time. Great spot for many family members while having your own private spaces. Fun and bright art which stays true to the true cottages of the north.

This cabin rental is beautiful. The river is so peaceful sounding and you have everything you need to relax and enjoy a quick little get away. We stayed as guests for a wedding near by and it accommodated me as a single well in the smaller cabin and my friend and her baby in the larger cabin. This was an excellent find! Scott was communicative and professional and everything was easy.
