Absolutely loved our stay here! Extremely peaceful and relaxing location. Great if you’re needing an escape from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Accommodation was immaculate and fully kitted. Would definitely recommend, and will definitely be back. It has became a special place for myself, and my partner.

I booked this for my partners birthday weekend away and we came with our dog for 2 nights at the end of Mar. Ellie was a great host, she was quick and easy to communicate with and made sure we all felt welcome and even decorated the lodge for my partners bday. We had a wonderful time, the lodge was well equipped and cosy, the hot tub was perfect especially at night and the area was very peaceful with some stunning views so all in all just what we needed. We really enjoyed our time here and my partner loved it for her birthday weekend away - we would be looking to come back in the future. I would highly recommend this lodge for anyone who is looking to book. P.s we decided to tackle Scafell pike which was around 25mins away - do not recommend doing on a wet and windy day as I thought i was going to die

Great place to stay. Stayed at Pod 3, amazing view of the river, arrived very late and Catherine had the hot tub and pod all warmed up for our late arrival. Although the pod doesn’t get hot as such, hot water bottles were provided and a big fire pit was readily available. Failing that, a hot shower or a dip in the hot tub . Fantastic two nights away, will definitely be coming back!

The lodge was absolutely stunning and exactly what we wanted. Upon arrival all the essentials were provided like bread, milk and a delicious cake along. The lodge was very clean and all towels were provided, including the towels for the hot tub. The views from the lodge looking out from the bedrooms and hot tub were stunning and certainly helped us all to relax. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with everything you need - nothing was missing. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable week - I couldn’t recommend it enough if you want peace and quiet and stunning views.

It was a really good stay for my girlfriend’s birthday. She was very helpful. I’d never used air bnb before. And arranged this last minute.

Went on a couples trip with 8 people to Julia’s gorgeous place. Was everything and more we could’ve hoped for. The pictures do not do the view justice!!! Very clean and well equipped, was so memorable.

My partner and I were looking for a quiet one night stay in the area and we found this glamping cabin which was perfect for what we wanted. The host reached out with clear instructions and made himself available, but the site is easy to find and very clearly set up for guests to set themselves up. The set up is perfect, it seems like he must have explored a handful of similar sites and picked the best elements of them as the amenities are more than comfortable, hot running water, small but useful kitchenette, plates and cutlery, hot tub, firepit, ambient lights and generally a peaceful and beautiful site. We are regularly in Lancashire visiting family and this site is a nice overnight stay a short drive away that we'll hopefully be back to again.

Great lodge situated right at the top of the site, within 2 minutes of a small walk with panoramic views of the valleys. Bedding was super soft & so were the towels, comfy bed, great sleep. Beautiful surroundings to wake up to and sit outdoors with a coffee listening to the birds. Dog friendly! Comfortable sofa! Lots of utensils and plates.

Absolutely loved our stay at Jennifer's place. Was a last minute booking to celebrate a birthday and finding this place available was perfect and on top of that we were so lucky with the weather. It's been a long time since visited the lakes and never had the weather so good. Jennifer's place had everything you could possible need, it was clean & homely and felt so comfortable. It is furnished so beautifully with great attention to detail, beautiful pictures around the home and the kitchen was so well equipped. Jennifer the host was happy to help with any questions. Thankyou for providing a beautiful holiday home stay.

After reading previous reviews, we came to Herdy Lodge with high expectations and I must say even these were exceeded massively! The location is beautiful, both the farm itself and the surrounding area. The lodge was everything we could want, spacious, modern and spotlessly clean. Hats off to Alison and Andrew, they really were fantastic hosts. From fresh farm eggs and goodies on arrival to bring super accommodating with any and all requests. I cannot rate them highly enough. Thank you for the most wonderful stay we would love to return when the weather is more on our side!

Caravan was immaculate and had everything you needed. Was really homely and cosy. Nice short walk into town which had lovely dog friendly places to eat and drink. The hill going up to the caravan was very slippy as it had been raining, i had slipped on wet moss going out one morning so just to warn people to be mindful of this. Would definately return as we had a lovely stay.

Rob, I can’t thank you more mate the best experience I’ve had in a lifetime such a amazing place to stay, such a hidden gem the price needs to be doubled then doubled again for the value of this beauty. The customer service alone honestly rob could not be a nicer more welcoming host. Thanks so much rob, me and the lads hope to be seeing you again very shortly. :)

Carole and the team were just great - from start to finish they were friendly, welcoming and clearly worked as a big family! The park is beautiful, peaceful and ideal whether fishing for the weekend or getting away from noise and tech with the family or a loved one. Heather cleans the pods and vans immaculately and the recommendations for walks and places to go were helpful and made for a much needed relaxing weekend. Will definitely visit again. Lovely clean caravan In beautiful peaceful surroundings. The caravan park itself only had around 5 caravans so nice and quiet, the donkeys were a welcome sight too! First ever Airbnb for all of us which went very smoothly so big thank you to Rachel for her advice (and the park warden who found my wallet and arranged to post it out for me!) Stayed to walk scafell pike which went very well. Big things!

Highly recommend, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Charlotte's beautiful herdie hideaway. it is set in a wonderfully secure feild surrounded by sheep and lambs this time of year with views of the countryside all around. The location was so peaceful and secluded perfect to escape the daily grind of life now a days. The hut had everything you need and Charlotte has thought of everything and the bed was so comfy ! it was lovely waking up to the beautiful sunrises and sounds of nature and to top it off the hut is in its own secure feild so our dog loved the freedom to roam while we relaxed around the firepit in an evening. Charlotte was super helpful and responsive to all questions asked and even let us check in early. We will definitely be back again soon !

Amazing place to stay, we took 3 of our dogs and our son. Hot tub, amazing children’s play area, trampoline, swings, seesaw, 20+ go carts with track, play obstacle course, climbing frame, slide, basketball hoops and football nets. The pictures on the advert are outdated and don’t show the go cart track. A brilliant field specifically for walking the dogs, not fully secure due to gaps under the gate but great for dogs who will ignore sheep. Lovely pod with everything we could have needed, hot tub lovely and warm, amazing views. Picnic bench and parking space. Lots of towels available, comfy bed and pillows. Complimentary bottle of Prosecco, eggs and biscuits. Very happy with our stay! We went to The bridge end inn for tea, 2 nights in a row!! The food was absolutely fantastic, well priced but quality fresh cooked food. Booking is a must as they were very busy.

The cabin was absolutely spotless! Had everything we needed for a few days and with such a beautiful view. The hosts went above and beyond and were great with communication. I would definitely recommend!

pod cottage was absolutely lovley its in an amazing quite area with beautiful views with easy access walks into the village the place was lovley and clean with seating and a chiminea to spark up in the evening with a glass of wine and complentry marshmallows to toast on the fire, Mark and Jan are lovley people who made sure we were comfortable on our holiday

A great stay, extremely close to Windermere's waterfront. Accomodation was slightly larger than expected, and loved that we could let our toddler run around outside without having to worry thanks to the gates/fencing. Everything in the lodge was well thought out and helpful. The only slight letdown is the park's own wifi, which was only recheable from the ensuite bathroom. There's not a lot that can be done from Joseph's part with this though I'm sure! Thank you for a lovely stay and we'd love to come back someday.

Yanxia is an excellent host she gave us some great recommendations and tips to get around. The guidebook was super helpful. Accommodation was clean and tidy, the welcome basket was very much appreciated. It felt very cosy and private surrounded by beautiful views. Location was great and within walking distance of the local village. Also there were lots of things to do only a short drive away. checking in and out was very straight forward. would definitely visit again. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Lovely 2 night stay at this beautiful lodge! Clean, spacious and smenities were fantastic. We will definitely return upon our next visit to the region!

We had a fabulous time at Kate’s place. Kate was very attentive and polite. The cabin itself was immaculately presented and had immense attention to detail throughout. The location was second to none, lovely and quiet set in private grounds yet only a 15 min drive to Penrith and surrounding areas. The wood burning hot tub was also lovely and an amazing added bonus. We will 100% return.
