I really think the photos do not do this place justice. It's way roomier than it looks in photos and the absolute luxury of the place is understated. The huge TV and incredible soundbar in the lounge is perfect for the dreary, rainy weather we had. The fully stocked kitchen has literally anything you could hope for. The underfloor heating kept the whole place wonderfully cozy. The rain shower with the beautiful view had perfect pressure and heated up immediately. And to top it all off, STUNNING views directly from the bed. You can't find better, book this place ASAP!

I can not rate this house more highly. It is so peaceful, with the most incredible views out every window! There was nothing better than waking up and looking out the window to the mountain range, and that evening having an incredible hot spa heated by a log fire. The house is rustic, with ever piece of furniture quirky and well chosen for the space. The bathrooms were spotless and the fire was lit ready for us when we arrived which we really appreciated. The beach is so close by, listening to the waves was my favourite thing. As a family, we absolutely adored our stay here.

I had a long stay here and thoroughly recommend both the accommodation and the hosts. Colleen and Shelley are lovely hosts, very easy to communicate with and respond very quickly to any questions. They made the stay a pleasure. The place is seconds away from the beach and the estuary, with lovely walks to enjoy. It is a tranquil place to come and relax.

Perfect location for beach and walkable restaurants. Everything was as described. Great patio to hang out.

We had a lovely stay in this little Bach. Beautiful views and a great holiday feel. The beds were very comfortable! Kitchen was amazing - enjoyed the gas hob and the dishwasher.

Charmante petite chambre chez Karen et Nigel. Un coucher de soleil magnifique à 5 minutes à pied ! Nous avons été acceuilli chaleureusement. Le lieu est calme et reposant ! Le jaccusi était à bonne température pour se détendre quelques minutes !

We loved our stay in Michelles cottage from start to finish. The closeness to the beach was perfect. The house was clean and cosy and beds were comfy. I would definitely stay again.

Worth every penny. It was a beautiful apartment. Comfortable beds. Plenty of amenities and absolutely pristine. Would stay there again. Host was attentive fantastic knowledge sent us a message with loads of choices of things to do before we got there and we used this to plan the trip. Gave us great tips on where to eat and cannot thank them enough. Five star.

Enjoyed our stay at Akaroa for one night. Apartment was 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, kitchen and dining area are smallish but met our needs, reasonable sized lounge with view of water which was lovely to have . Off street parking which was great. Easy walk to restaurants, cafes and main wharf where boat trips leave from. Nice place to stay in Akaroa.

The place is exactly like the pictures. super cozy. it has a beautiful view. Close to everything. I had a great night. It was a pity that the swimming competition was canceled and the place is no longer being used. Thank you.

Très bel hébergement avec une superbe vue sur la mer et correspondant aux photos. Anthea a toujours été très réactive et a pris en compte nos demandes de nous envoyer certaines infos de dernière minute par sms plutôt que par mail (dépendant de la wifi).

overall a great stay. the flat was as expected, fully functional and good equipped. access to the beach was nice, especially to observe the early sunrise. it's outside of New Brighton, to shops and bars it would be a 6+km walk (a bit long). there is a bus stop in front of the house which brings you to New Brighton in 10-15 min and into the city (bus interchange) in 40-45 minutes. with a car you probably would be better off. but it was absolutely OK without. the host Robert is a very nice guy. we had some good chats.

Fantastic stay at Lana’s place. Great location right opposite the beach, but the icing on the cake was all the thoughtful touches and the attention to detail…..All those little things you need… she had thought of them all. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be recommending this cute wee place to all our friends.

Nice enough and plenty of space - but considerably more expensive than other airbnbs on our South Island trip.

We had a great stay at the Pink Palace. The house was very clean and tidy, and had so many thoughtful touches to make it the best home away from home. We travelled as a family and it was the perfect set up. We will be back for sure!

We really enjoyed our two day break at Poppy's place. Very close to the waterfront and loved watching the sunrises in the morning. Easy 10 min walk to the restaurants and shops. The apartment was well equipped with comfy beds and clean utensils.

Heel mooie accommodatie, prachtig gelegen aan de zee met mooi uitzicht. Chris en Tony waren heel gastvrij en regeerden snel op onze berichten. Ze hadden zelfs vis voor ons in de vriezer, maar vanwege ons drukke programma zijn we daar helaas niet aan toegekomen. Ook een heel mooie omgeving. Wij zijn gaan zwemmen met dolfijnen en prachtige ervaring, wat dichtbij is gelegen en hebben ook nog een stuk van het kustpad gelopen, wat heel mooi is en waar we veel zeehonden hebben gezien. Zou deze accommodatie een volgende keer zeker weer boeken.

I had a quick stay here and it was great! The beach is incredibly close and it had everything I needed for one night. The only downside is there is no AC, but that does not impact my rating, since it states that in the listing. Highly recommend!
